   We received our confirmation from Open Table and showed up at Market Restaurant only to be told the restaurant closed for operation! It was my guest's birthday -- so can you imagine how I felt?

   We enjoyed watching the fireworks display on Friday night prior to enjoying a delicious meal. Our server, Sam, was friendly and knowledgeable. The menu, while limited, was varied and unique. The craft cocktails were delicious. Overall a great evening out with our 12 year old grandson!

   Food is always spot on. Best of all, the service is superb. Our group of friends meet there every Saturday and the staff makes us feel like family.

   Menu online is very different to menu being presented in the restaurant. Meals were ok, but lacked some flavors/sauce/ragout. Very little vegeterian options. Venue is excellent as a positive, and the Wine list was good.

   This was the one of the worst experiences of my life. We were celebrating a birthday while spending the weekend at The Ritz-Carlton hotel. We began the celebration with dinner at The Market at the Ritz-Carlton. The restaurant was almost completely empty except for our table of seven adults, save for another two or three other tables. Despite this, our drinks took 30-45 minutes to come. When our food finally came, all the New York steaks and filet mignon steaks came out well done - obviously sitting under heating lamps. Even the duck came out over-cooked. While our server insisted on bringing out another round, this time everything came out extra rare/raw and extra salty. We received no apologies or sympathy from management. At many times, the manager and our server were no where to be found - especially considering how empty the restaurant was, I thought this was very poor customer service. I had to flag the water boy for our check. Once our server came back, I realized he only gave me the charge slip and neglected to give me the itemized billing statement, so I couldn’t tell, if at the very least, they tried to compensate us with taking anything off the bill. I think a simple bit of empathy, some explanation, some apologies or attention would have gone far with our group - but none of this happened. In fact, the chef actually poked his head out of the kitchen at the very end of our night to glare at us before retreating to his kitchen. For a few seconds, I actually thought he was going to come out to apologize in person - instead, we felt worse about the night. There were many opportunities for this night to be turned around, however, the staff at The Market fell short. I hope this helps others in preventing another terrible experience.

   Very friendly staff. Nice elevated view of ocean. The watermelon salad was very fresh and had an unexpected mixture of flavors that was delicious. I would order it again. Ambience was casual, with class.
