Our chef Kenta Kayama has been trained under the best chef in Japan, Mr.Kanda who keeps 3 stars Michelin for the whole time Michelin has been published in Japan.
We opened our door in Tokyo in 2014 and became known as the best place for truffle and old world wine lovers. We serve only fresh seasonal truffles from all over the world throughout the year, Italian Alba white truffle to French Perigord black truffle, Tasmanian black, sometimes even from Spain.
As being one of only 112 Krug ambassador chef, we are allowed to have every different bottles of Krug that await you, along with many selection of old world wines. Working with Hawaii's first master sommelier Chuck Furuya, we also have premium wine pairing and monthly wine events.

Only at our Champagne Counter. A seven-weekend pop-up with Temaki, or Hand Roll Sushi Chef Angie of Tsuki Maki. For just 14 nights from Nov. 16 to Dec. 29, Chef Angie will be serving an 11-course Omakase dinner comprised of appetizers, hand roll sushi, and more at our CHAMPAGNE COUNTER for $160 per person. Seating will be on Thursday and Friday at 5:00 and 7:30 for up to 6 guest each time. Her omakase will be comprised of a succession of appetizers, five hand rolls, one oshizushi or pressed sushi, a chilled chawanmushi, soup, and some dessert. Italian winter white truffle(Tartufo di Alba) will be incorporated into some of the presentations. Special rare Sake collection, IWA Sake of Japan, Masuizumi, Tanaka available.

As always, an outstanding evening! Margotto’s ambiance, displayed art, impeccable service, and delectable menu is superb. The menu has changed since we visited last Spring, and it provided significantly more choices. It still has a Tasting Menu, but now provides an ala-carte menu with a variety of pasta, meat and seafood options. And, you can choose to add the seasonal truffle, (either grated or sliced depending on the plate). Prior to the addition of the truffle, the truffle is weighed, and depending on how much truffle you choose to add, the price per gram is added to the bill. Brilliant! We’ve been to many Michelin Starred Restaurants in our travels, and while it’s my understanding that Hawaii itself isn’t a candidate for a Michelin Star, it is definitely a contender for a James Beard Award!

We dined here for a birthday and it is definitely an experience. We got exceptional service, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the wine pairing was excellent. It’s a meal you don’t want to rush because you want to savor the entire experience but because of the price, it is a special occasion place, at least for me!

This place is amazing. Best food we've ever had. 12 course menu + wine pairing was delicious. Extremely knowledgeable host and sommelier. They've only been open for a year and I'm no expert but I could see them getting a star in the near future. If you can splurge it's worth it.

We celebrated my wife's birthday this past weekend at Margotto Hawaii. It was our first experience with Margotto Hawaii and it was a good one. We had the chef's selected menu and it was outstanding! Both of us enjoyed the selections and thought that the presentation, pace of service, quality of ingredients, and complimentary sequence of dishes were excellent. My wife really loves truffles, so the option for the winter white truffles on five of the courses was heaven for her and also gave me a greater appreciation for this delicacy. The service was excellent as well as we received constant but not overbearing attention from the staff. Overall I scored major points for taking her there for her birthday, so no complaints from me.

Margotto Hawaii was by far the best fine dining restaurant I have ever been too. Everything from the moment we stepped into the door til we left was perfect. Service was great and food was exquisite. All recommendations the host gave to us was spot on!!! I would recommend you try this restaurant at least once but we plan to come back!

The first course with the truffle was great however the courses after that were subpar and disappointing. The truffle was not good and did not continue to the other courses as explained. We were told we had this certain truffle as our dinner however after the first shaving they took the rest away and didn’t return it to finish it off.

After reading all of the great reviews on OpenTable, we decided to try Margotto for ourselves. We ordered the Margotto Experience which had 11 courses ranging from mushroom tarts to pasta bolognese, all with heaps of truffle. The food was fantastic and service impeccable. Definitely recommend this gem!

We were there for a pop-up for Tsuki Maki and the overall experience was magnificent! We were able to taste sake from Toyama, Japan which Margotto only carries, it tasted so clean and delicious. I will def be back to try Margotto itself.

I'm a foodie and I seek out the best worldwide. Margotto is a refreshing surprise in all aspects. Lee and Andrew make it all happen. This is a French Truffle experience. Food is inventive, eclectic, and focused on fundementals with a twist. Not inexpensive: dinner for 2 with wine, truffle supplement, food, 25% tip, and tax $780.00

Service was what you would expect from a fine dining experience. The staff was very professional and fun to chat with in between courses. The Food had some odd items listed on the menu, but after I ate it, I found it surprisingly delicious. Be prepared to walk out feeling full even though the dishes are small portions. Will be back.

The restaurant is nice and clean. The customer service we experienced was amazing but we were the only party in the place. I did note that we were celebrating an anniversary and they had a not on one of the last dishes which was nice. The food was good though our truffle seemed to lack in fragrance, flavor, and the texture was off, kind of hard or waxy. Truffle was not enjoyable. I would have preferred to order dish by dish. Overall I think it is too pricey for what you get.

It was a fantastic dining experience as my wife and I both love truffles. The more the better. The sunny side toast with truffles was my favorite course. I do have to say that the lamb and steak were a little disappointing. I had one rack that was not a tender as I thought it should be and same for my wife’s ribeye streak. Oerter then that the serviced was impeccable and I enjoyed Lee and Andrew very much. Once we send up a little more for it we will return. - John Doty

Margotto's is an incredibly exquisite restaurant with outstanding service, food, and ambience. Each course is prepared with ingredients that enhance the best combinations of flavors and are delightfully displayed; the wine list is superb; the restaurant itself is quite simply elegant.
