   Went for a work related dinner. Waitress was lovely took the time to explain everything. Intimate vs slight cramped seating. Low lighting ambiance.

   Mare is always a great choice. We’ve been several times and it is one of our favorite restaurants in Boston. Awesome food, service, and atmosphere, lively but you can still have a conversation at the table. The grilled octopus is probably the best thing on the menu - a must try!

   Dont have alot of experience with North End Restaurants but we booked this on the recommendation from our hotel. I had seafood in a risotto dish and my wife had Lobster with linquini. Avg portion size. I dont need to see the shells of the seafood on my dish. 2 glasses of pino noir and a side of brussel sprouts. Ended the meal with 2 choc mousse deserts Tax and tip 200bucks. To much. Probably me just getting older but spending that kind of money on food doesnt appeal to me much anymore. Appears to cater more to raw bar folks We love Angelinas in Oquinquit and that is 70 dollars cheaper , bigger portions and better food.

   Always a Great experience. The oyster selection and options make it a unique experience, the king crab legs are well worth the visit, as are the langoustines, lobster and seafood generally. Great vibe, superb and very attentive service. Very pleased!!

   What a wonderful way to celebrate our daughter’s 1st Boston Marathon. We had a truly memorable meal and a delightful experience. It’s one thing to dine, it’s quite another to feel like you were welcomed into someone’s home. Amazing food and a remarkable staff. Thank you.

   Nice location in the heart of north end. The service was great and the server was knowledgeable. The food was amazing. We ordered oysters, mussels, lobster truffle pasta and tuna. Everything was delicious. It is a bit pricey, but would go again.

   When we arrived at the restaurant we were surprised that the seating area was outdoors as it was breezy and cool. We asked to be seated inside but they offered another table in an area where there was a retractable roof and soft walls, everything was open! So they closed a shade by our table and turned a heat lamp on over head. We tried but we were cold. Finally after many complaints by other patrons the lightbulb went on and they closed the retractable roof. Our young waiter was lovely but preoccupied with watching the game by the bar along with the bar tender and other waiters. We had to get his attention every time for everything. In short, service was terrible with this waiter. I cant even remember if I like the food bc I was so frustrated. Will never be back.
