Covid-19 & Marco Polo

Marco Polo is closed for dine-in service (until further notice). For hotel guests, we will offer room service and grab-and-go options. For the local community, we are offering delivery (through our trusted partners) as well as Curbside pick-up for this in need of a meal or a pantry item.

The health and safety of all Silver Lake Pool and Inn and Marco Polo guests and staff is our top priority. We are monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak - diligently reinforcing our already stringent hygiene standards and following all guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and local health authorities.

With ALL the dining tables located outside, this place really needs to invest in more heat lamps. They maybe had 3 functioning lamps for the whole patio, plus one dedicated to the hostess stand. Even though we are in Southern California, the nights can get cool - and who really wants to eat dinner with their coat on!?
Food was fresh and good. Bartender was attentive and friendly. (we opted to eat at the bar since it was too chilly outside). This place has potential but needs fine-tuning.

I went to Marco Polo with my wife on Valentines. We chose the special pre-fixe meal, with drink pairing. Initially, they seated us directly behind the host stand even though there were better tables available. For some reason, our drinks and food came out at a rapid pace, so much that we had multiple courses and drinks stacked up. Meanwhile, the couple next to us also had the pre fixe, and were seated before we arrived, did not have the same hasty service - they were asked if they were ready for the next course before it was delivered. They were a heterosexual couple and my wife and I are not. I assume that they thought we were just a couple of friends out for the evening- regardless we had markedly different service, even though we chose the more expensive option with the drink pairing.

Attentive service and good food. My husbands steak was undercooked and we sent it back - it came back to the table not much different - but the server and manager were wonderful dealing with it. Took the item off our bill and offered free drinks. Handled beautifully!

Everything was perfect but need to work on creating more shades on sunny weather for out door seating customers :)

My second experience, this one for lunch; previously for dinner. Food is delicious, ambiance fantastic (especially on a perfect SoCal day). A great addition to our list of must-go places.

The ambiance and food are excellent. We were informed that a server had not shown up for their shift, so the restaurant was under staffed. Katie and Isabelle did an amazing job making sure we were taken care of despite that fact. This restaurant has already become a favorite of mine and I almost don’t want to tell anyone about it because it feels like a hidden gem. The music was also great, it felt like I was on vacation somewhere far away.

We were seated for a 4-course meal, and 2.5 hours later only had 2 of the 4 courses. The entire restaurant seemed backed up and nobody was getting food in a timely manner, servers kept randomly refilling water with sparkling water or tap water and not asking or checking. Considering it was NYE it was a bad night to be delaying meals.

Truthfully, it seems like there was backup since it was a new restaurant and it was likely the first major event. We were making due with the situation until we received the second course and it was absolutely unappetizing, which really brought the experience down completely given the situation.

The (tiny!!) patio tables need some light! Could not see a thing on the plate-- thought what-I-imagine-was-lovely food was tasty. THanks!

Still working it out. They charge $3 for two pieces of bread to accompany your meal. Seems aggressive when all the apps go with bread.

Very patient service. We brought our two kids and it the server patiently described each of the dishes to them. The kids—and we— loved everything we ordered. In fact, my son ordered a second salad (miracle!). The soft serve ice cream is definitely worth the calories.
