Marco Pierre White Wheeler's is a new concept that looks to build on the history of Wheeler’s, which is famed for being the oldest fish brand in the world, counting Lucien Freud and Walt Disney amongst some of its famous diners.

However, it is not just for fish lovers, there is plenty of meat on the menu too. Marco has created a menu that gives a nod to the history but has evolved it to what today’s diner wants.

Flavours that represent the history of wheeler's and showcase the classics such as Wheeler's Fish Pie, in addition to new favourites like Lobster Thermidor and Maxim's Quail's eggs Maintenon.

With a separate bar area, Wheeler’s Oyster Bar & Grill Room, is not just for dining. It’s the perfect setting for a business meeting, after work drink or bar snack. There is something on offer for every occasion.

Had Christmas lunch here. Overpriced of course for what it was, but everywhere is on Christmas Day. Food was good.enoygh, not particularly memorable though and certainly not enough to entice me to go back. Main course was cold and had to be sent back, but staff were good and that was dealt with promptly and after dinner drink provided for the inconvenience.

Lovely lunch for a business meeting, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was good and everybody at the table enjoyed it. Would visit again!

This is a really nice restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The food is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant was busy and we had to wait an extremely long time for our main courses to arrive. We were rewarded with some wine on the house, but speed of service is more important at lunchtime than alcohol.

The service was poor. Upon arrival the lady couldn’t find my name on the list (but I could, immediately). She said there’s seven in our party: no there wasn't, there was just two of us. Ah, she’d not read it, we were table seven. Ordered two flat whites and received one plus a Cappuccino. The other waiter then balled out the waitress for getting it wrong showing us his digital order and how he was in the right. Not professional. Also, it was only half full in the middle of December. Not a good sign. Loved the food but the service wasn’t good enough. Come on guys, it’s the City. You’ll not get repeat business like this.

We had a very delicious lunch. We stayed in the Threadneedle hotel. The breakfast is also very good!

We booked breakfast via Open Table for 10:30 but when we arrived they were not serving breakfast. But they spoke to the chef who cooked us a fantastic full English so fair play. Will return once we know breakfast timings...
