   Very pleasant experience. Our first visit and definitely not our last. Very welcoming decor. We ordered drinks and started our meal with the “low tide”option. Choice of cod cakes, mussels and/or oysters. We chose to share 8 Beausoleil oysters. Fresh and salty tasting. A mignonette was offered bu we prefer our oysters at naturel. I chose the burger....tasty and quite enjoyable. My wife had the hangar steak. Prepared medium rare and also enjoyed. We shared the lemon tart which was the only part of the meal that wasn’t impressive. Crust was thick and the lemon filling not to our liking. Looking forward to having more from this restaurant.

   This is a great spot in our neighborhood...we can walk from our house, and find it to be a cozy, pub-type feel, with great food and dining experience. We have had the same server the last couple of times, and he is friendly, funny, and has a great handle of the food and drink. Always have a good array of local beer, as well as other good craft brewery selections. Nice set up at bar for watching the game, but also great for an intimate dinner, or dinner with a larger group. I will add that, while our service the last few times was great, this has not always been the case. This has been a great spot for our local, and look forward to some new, seasonal changes to the menu!!

   Two of 5 guests at our table ordered Steak and Frites. It was tasty but couldn't believe the small portion of meat. Expensive for the portion. We were celebrating a 70th BIRTHDAY and thought this would be a nice place it was fine but will not be returning.

   We dined on Valetine's Day, and were very pleased with the food, and the service. It was a prix fix menu, with many items we would not normally order. We were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

   Great Food BUT they changed our reservation from 630pm (confirmed through OPEN table) to 515pm. As a result was beginning of entire evening that felt rushed. No choice but to accept on short notice with Valentines day. Service was unbelievably rushed...service was actually too fast for appetizer and food delivery...never experienced anything like it, pushy. But again food and drinks were fantastic but not enough time to enjoy . Waitress was polite but felt like we were being rushed for next sitting. Very annoying lights flickering all night...dim/bright/dim...constant. Will I be back....hmmmm not sure

    This little restaurant has a quirky Waterloo feel to it. Casual atmosphere and friendly service, in an old building. Its reputation and interest must have something to do with the Whole Earth salad and vegan options on the menu, but we've had some terrific lamb and duck there before too. The patio also is nice. Over the years much has changed in Waterloo and in this restaurant, but it remains a cozy spot worth a visit.
