Great place for a family gathering. Upscale vibe but casual enough to feel comfortable. Lots of tasty food to enjoy.

The food is always amazing and the service top notch but we try to only go when they aren’t busy as something about the acoustics of this place makes it super loud and hard to have a conversation otherwise.

Marais came highly recommended & we were thoroughly pleased with our experience. The stacked crab appetizer was refreshing as were the cocktails on a hot Texas day. My partner selected the popular redfish while I enjoyed the scallops. Both of these dishes were rich & satisfying such that we wish we could enjoy them regularly. If only we lived nearby! The service was five star quality. The appetizers, salads, soups, entrees including fish, scallops, ribeye, and filet mignon were all top quality. The creme brûlée and the beignets finished off a stellar evening.

Excellent Sunday buffet selection and service. They have so many choices. All served in an elegant atmosphere.

Although the decor, foods, and services were all amazing, my review must be 1 due to the unbearable odor in the women's restroom, which I have never experienced in any upscale restaurants in USA in my 61 years of life and completely diminished my appetite. The odor was not the result of any customers' use of the toilet, but it was rather from sewage pipe or something. I reported to the manager who informed us that all restaurant employees and customers complained, but the owner has not invested to the solution. The manager poured bleach to the toilets and slightly improved the situation. It is very unfortunate that the best restaurant in the area does not realize the magnitude of the problem. I will never return to the restaurant until the problem is permanently fixed.

Masae, Keith here owner of Marais. Thank you for your positive comments regarding our food and service. In fact, you rated as five and four stars on the initial report I received. The Managers, Chefs and employees work hard to provide that level of service and quality. The occasional smell is a City Issue affecting us but we think we have a solution apologies that it seemed to be an issue the day you were there. I do, however, think it unfair that you give the restaurant 5 & 4 stars for food & service but a 1 star overall for something that is relatively out of their control, seems unfair and we hope that you reconsider.. thank you for visiting us and we do hope to see you again and I promise you that will not be an issue in the bathroom when you come back. Keith

What a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely amazing. The buffet had fantastic choices--including the best fried chicken I've ever had-thats on top of shrimp cocktail and crab legs---and prime rib. Soooo good! We've already booked our next visit!
