This place has become a disaster. Only 1 server takes care all table. Everything is backed up. Used to like it a lot but it went down hill fast. No heater avail. Stay away
Great food and also accepted special requests. Wish the heating could have been more since it was super chilly outside but absolutely recommend :)
I came here for outdoor dining. The overall experience was good.
All is closed, application is not updated
Good food and diverse North Indian menu. Unfortunately, outdoor dining (cold, despite a heater) and slow service/follow-up made for a good - but not great - experience overall.
Food is awesome, a little pricey, I loved most of their dishes
Great! Good servers great service
Anniversary
The food was incredible! We loved our experience. Might be some of the best indian food I've had!!
It was great! Service was fantastic and the chicken biryani is so fragrant!
Tandoori chicken was soft, like it was old or had been reheated instead of cooked fresh. "Harvest vegetables" was mostly potatoes. Shrimp in the shrimp curry was good, but it was about 2.5 cups of so-so sauce - for exactly 5 shrimp. Two of the 5 items we initially tried to order were not available. Overall, a meh dining experience.
Absolutely wonderful. Our host was Gagan and he was one of the best
Needed more servers. It was a Thursday night and all their outside tables were filled so the service was slow. Overall food was great
The Lentil soup was outstanding as was the Naan bread. I had the garlic Shrimp which was too spicy for my taste.
The food is great and there is a very wide selection of dishes.
My only complaint is that there are tables placed very close to many of the buffet tables, which leaves very little space between the diners sitting down and the diners who are standing at the buffet.
Wonderful food, nice and reasonably quiet atmosphere, and generally good service. Hard to beat.
Your team and the service was very good.
We were unable to order a second serving of Mango Lassi. Apparently there was no more left that evening. That was very disappointing.
I went for weekday lunch buffet, delicious food with reasonable price, recommended!
Great food and service. They customize and take care of your needs well.
The food and ambience is good. We went on Valentine's Day. Ordered soup, appetizer, 2 entrees with rice and bread along with drinks. We got soup after appetizer and entrees were served, which we had to cancel. Whilst waiting for the pulav, we waited for 30 min and left the restaurant after cancelling it. Overall, the experience was not so good.
Mantra used to be one of our favorite restaurants. However, when we went thre earlier this week the quality of the food had gone down. We are hoping this is temporary and are willing to give it one more try. We are wondering if it has changed ownership.
It was great to catch up with a friend for dinner at Mantra tonight. The food was superb, as was the service. They made us paneer tikka masala although it’s not on the menu. We also had the garlic shrimp (SO GOOD!), dal makhani, and garlic naan.
The only problem was the noise level. We could hardly hear each other.
It's one of our favorites. The service is good, people friendly and the food is very good.
Went there with our friend for Holiday dinner before Christmas. Service was outstanding. Our server was very attentive and prompt. Over all the food was great. The nimbu chicken as appetizer was the best. The dal makhni and bindi masala were very good as well. The Chicken Tikka masala was not up to the mark. Tasted like cut pieces of boiled chicken tossed on tills masala gravy.
They were very good with the reservation. But were not too good with the service. We had to ask for fresh bread 3 times before we got some.
The cauliflower appetizer, chettinad chicken and lentil dal makhali dish were excellent. Wouldn't have the goat curry again...not much meat or zing. Our server was fantastic, very attentive and great sense of humor. I'd go back!
Great food, especially the weekend lunch buffet. Excellent variety, nice presentation and great taste. Staff is good too. We like the ambience too. Would highly recommend.
Our first time at Mantra. Menu is extensive and a bit different than usual Indian place. Really enjoyed it.
Great atmosphere and delicious food. Service was great as well.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere.
The waitress did a poor job. We had to wait forever that our friends were done with their appetizers before we got any food. Then she forgot to bring half of what we had ordered and therefore had to wait again before we got all our meal. She even tried to make my husband believe he was wrong when she had forgotten half of our order.
Great place in Mountain View to meet up and eat! We will be back as we saw that it looks like they set up some type of buffet...maybe for lunch???
our second visit to Mantra India. We ate outside, very pleasant and good, genuine Indian cuisine, which we always enjoy. We will return.
Poor food quality and taste.
we went there, and service was bad, and food was bad.
we ordered the dinner option and what they told while ordering, was different from when they brought it.
then they said they will replace it , and we were done with dinner by the time they replaced it (who takes 30 mins to get a replacement vegetable).
Another opportunity to dine at this place after the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival. The food was delicious and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly and cordial but a bit slow. Didn't understand why because they weren't short on staff. There were plenty of them just standing around.
There was also a large family dining right next to us who had a small toddler that kept crying and screaming throughout our meal. They couldn't comfort their child thus making it almost unbearable for us. We couldn't stay for dessert. We finished our meal the same time as they did. We do understand that this can happen at any time.
We still would like to try their lunch buffet.
Our favorite Indian restaurant in the South Bay., and where we always take our family and friends. Great flavors, great presentation (try the biryanis!), friendly and very professional service.
It was nice
Delicious food with a good range of sauces and spices. Every dish is yummy! Naan is good too. Worth going every week.
The food is interesting but way too spicy. I love spicy food, but this was over the top!
