The buffet lunch was very good!
Delicious! Highly recommend; will make it a destination!
Overall very good dinning experience. We had a party of 7. The service was prompt and very friendly. Food was delicious!
Fantastic food and great service. Highly recommend
I’d mentioned in my reservation that this was a birthday lunch. Other than having the table ready for us, we received no instructions and very little service. No Birthday acknowledgement despite them playing a song and having candles at the table behind us. Too bad. Food was excellent.
Excellent food. Service needs to be worked on but overall a great experience. Ambience has always been good.
The best Indian restaurant in Mountain View/Palo Alto area. Authentic food. Tell them you make yours Punjabi style and they will do it. Awesome management and staff.
Entrees and service were generally not great, though the appetizers were good. Entrees had too much flavor. Was also very cold in the evening time for dinner, had to wear warm jackets inside. Hopefully just our own experience.
I met some of my friends for drinks and dinner. We sat out doors as it was a pleasant day. We ordered sea bass kebab, lamb seekh kebab, paneer kebab, and veg pakora as finger food with our drinks. We tried biryani for our main course. Overall great food and excellent service!!
We enjoyed our meal. We were a large group of 10 and the restaurant was very accommodating. For a buffet the food was very good. Their apps were far better than the entrees. I would go back for the buffet again.
Good Indian food with good service and ambience.
We’ve been going here way before the name change. At least every month, my husband and I come here on a date. We always get their non-vegetarian meal plus half chicken tandoori, papad, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. 9 out of 10 times we went here, their food and service are both 5 stars. The other times are 4 stars.
I crave Indian food a couple times a year and this place took care of that craving.
We came here for the lunch buffet which we heard was very good. And we were not disappointed; there were many food options and we tried all different curries some were just mild and some were a bit spicy, but overall the food was delicious. Service was also good as the waiters had regularly checked and refilled our water.
Enjoyed our time in Mantra India. Food is great .
tasty food with authentic flavors. they were, surprisingly, out of one (very common) ingredient of a drink we ordered off the menu. had to wait while someone went to buy it. surprised they aren't more on top of their inventory! pleasant service, no styromfoam takeaway containers, thank you
Seated immediately, good service and food tasted great.
I thought it was adequate. Nothing special. I wouldn't do again. Too many other plaves.
Great food and reasonable
Good service, the food was well prepared, tandoori chicken was buttery. Overall, recommended.
Noise level was way too high and in the name of being cool, the light level was kept way too low... But the food was very good! and the service is okay as well.
The meal was a pleasure as always. The buffet is even larger than it used to be with lots of vegetarian options.
They completely ignored the fact that we told them it’s a birthday while booking via open table !
This is our go-to spot for taking people from out of town. On this occasion, we had another great meal. The food is wonderful and the portions are generous but not ridiculously large. Love all the varieties of naan. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive and we had a great time joking with one of the waiters after my husband (somewhat foolishly) ordered his meal "extra hot." :)
Food seemed OK, but it upset my stomach by the time I got home. Service was a bit slow. Maybe they were giving us our space during our date?
Lots of variety, a good amount of vegetarian options. The drink is included (non alcoholic).
Fresh, delicious food. I can't wait to go back and order the same dishes!
Food was ok. Nothing that stands outs from what ever we had ordered. Nice ambience, but very poorly maintained restroom !
Good recommendations from our waiter, food was very nice and large portion sizes. There are families dining here so be prepared for the occasional kid scream, decor and lighting is somewhat clinical and service at times a bit too speedy. Quality of food outweighed these other factors.
Food was cold, filled with fat and inedible. Will never return.
What a delicious dinner at this new restaurant. We hadn't had Indian food for quite a while - and we will certainly be back. Not too spicy (for one of us) plus a nice extra dish of spices for the other one who really likes spicy. Extra attention from the manager Gary to be sure
I had received from his email - and names of staff who could advise us in what to order.
One of the best Indian restaurants, food so delicious, great service and very clean !
Really great lunch buffet! Came here for a colleague's birthday meal with 4 other coworkers and enjoyed it a lot. Great selection for vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. Don't believe they do anything for birthdays though, since I noted we had a birthday in our party. Overall delicious food and wonderful ambiance.
Excellent, one of our favorite restaurants
Service was poor and served .Food was below average
Calling the food super bad would be an understatement. The chef seemingly has no idea about preparing dishes from Indian cuisine. There was absolutely no character in the food. I ordered 2 vegetarian curries and they not only tasted bland but had no character, no real taste in it.
The staff does not know if the restaurant has any special curries - no recommendations from the staff when asked.
Long story short - do not go, do not waste your time and money at this place.
I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant in its new guise. The manager was most welcoming and attentive, and sat us in a quiet booth. That was the good part. The wait staff was impatient to take our order. Our friends wanted to order separately and both selected a tandoori chicken dish, which the waiter assumed was an appetizer for all of us, so brought that ahead of my husband's and my dinner choice, so we got to watch them eat before our meal arrived. I ordered the goat curry, which was in a lovely very spicy thick sauce, but there was no meat! It was a collection of oddly shaped bones and bone shards in sauce. DO NOT ORDER THIS if you actually do want to eat some meat. The chicken tikka marsala was pretty good.
All in all, the waiters need to understand that not all the locals realize a tandoori dish is an appetizer, that not all diners want to share their food (sadly) and that maybe they should ask.
The chef needs to find the missing goat.
Consistent good quality food. Good service. Owner/manager recognizes repeat customers.
We ordered a lot of chaat items and everything was great. We especially enjoyed Avacado Sev Puri, Bombay Slider and Amritsari Paneer Tikka.
