Great views and great food. Everything very fresh!
Very limited menu. Service was unpolished. Music was too loud for the space.
Wonderful inventive menu. Even dessert was delicious. Best key lime pie ever.
A revitalized lobster Inn. Better than before the food is great! The Brussels Sprouts are the best. The service is fast and friendly. Worth a trip from anywhere!!
We had a very good dinner at Manna at the Lobster Inn. I had the baked clams to start followed by the steamed lobster. It was delicious. The two men with us had something from the raw bar and the other two women shared a Caesar salad and a shrimp cocktail for a starter. Two of them had the lobster, one had a fish that she liked very much, and another had pasta (go figure!). Everyone was very pleased with their meal. Our waitress was new and friendly and we enjoyed speaking with her.
We came for lunch at 4 o’clock on this past Sunday and were so disappointed. Ordered the splat for two and Brussels sprouts. Waited 20 minutes, waitress came out with lobster, one ear of corn and potatoes. We asked her where is the rest of the order. Said she made a mistake and took back the order. Waited another 20 minutes and finally the order came which included a very small lobster, mussels with nothing in them, four shrimp, one ear of corn and red skin potatoes. I never was so disappointed for $95.00. We went home hungry.
Tremendous surroundings , good service and good food ,
We Had Another great meal at Manna. We have been here quite a few times over the summer . Each time we were in different areas of the restaurant. Tonight we were facing the beautiful sky during sunset views while drinking our wine and eating our meal . Each time we visited , the meal was amazing. The mahi tonight , Tuna the time before , the Cole slaw, Thai mussels and deviled eggs all some of my favorites . Each and every time our server was attentive. Tonight Stephan was around when needed and gave suggestions when asked . We are happy to have Manna at Lobster Inn back again ! We will be back soon!
We were delighted to see the Lobster Inn re-open. It has kept all of its charm and even been improved with some freshened paint and decor. The lobster seemed a bit pricey so during 2 separate meals we ate other items, which we liked very much: baked clams, crab salad appetizer, the Tackle Box platter (which also includes that delicious crab salad dip), baked salmon, creamed spinach and a positively delicious side corn on the cob with a tasty garlic butter. A slice of key lime pie was a delicious dessert. We also enjoyed some St Francis chardonnay and a draft Oktoberfest ale. We will definitely be back!
Service and food were terrible
Had a reservation for 7pm. Wasn’t sat until 7:30
How can a fish restaurant overcook the fish and leave grit in the baked clams? Very nice waiter, great ambiance, but you do have to eat.
Called to ask a question about reservation 2 days in advance, left a message, no return phone call. Had to ask the waiter about specials and price of lobsters. Ordered a splat that was served with a buttery herb broth. There wasn’t any type of bread served to use for the broth. There wasn’t a bowl for the shells so some were left on the table. When the table was cleared the extra shells were left on the table. Waiter never asked the complete table if they would like additional drinks. He didn’t have the beer for one guest so he just walked away. Waiter didn’t supply hand wipes for the guests who had lobster, not even extra napkins. Lastly the check and credit cards were returned on a wet plate . The checks were wet and the credit cards had to be wiped off on dirty napkins……food was prepared correctly but this establishment is not prepared for service.
Great food and service.
Lobster roll was good nicely cooked and substantial, baked clams were poor a pile of bread crumbs on top of a clam. Service was pathetic we asked for extra lemon and even though the waitress wasn’t busy she forgot to bring it. Physically the space is unchanged they may have painted it but other than that no changes in the last 20 years
Service was not great. Execution is poor. Seafood tower that is supposed to come with 2 shrimp had none. When this was pointed out, the server brought out one shrimp. Side orders came well after entrees were served, almost when we had finished. Broccolini were over cooked and water logged and corn on the cob was cold. Mixed drinks took a long time to be served to us.
Server was nice, but could not make up for the shortcoming of the bar and kitchen.
I would think with restaurateurs who own several other restaurants this on would be a slam dunk. It wasn’t.
They tried to use the fame of the Lobster Inn to attract customers and specifically used the old standby “Splat” which was an old standby of the Lobster Inn to entice customers.
The atmosphere also disappoints. They whitewashed the walls but keep some of the same tables, which when it was the Lobster Inn was charming but not for an upscale wanna be like Manna @ Lobster Inn.
Overall very dissatisfied
Really fresh and delicious seafood platter with oysters and clams and crabmeat. Lobster roll was excellent. The ambience is perfectly seaside simple and clean. And the service was very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going back 👍👍
A new favorite spot!!! Food is excellent - we particularly loved the tuna tartare, Thai mussels and lobster bisque ramen. A welcome addition/revitalization!
Revamped Lobster Inn as a home run. Still similar ambience, but food is much better.
Our second time to Manna, we brought my parents and it was a huge hit! The water view is so beautiful and the interior atmosphere comfortable and chic. My older parents weren't sure of some things on the menu like tuna tartare with watermelon. But they ordered it and loved it. My mother has a gluten allergy and my son is 7 and picky but everyone found something they loved and all parties were so happy with their meal. The service was knowledgeable and attentive and the hostess was lovely. We highly recommend Manna!
Great meal the 3 lb lobster was terrific.
While the waiter was nice, we had to repeatedly ask for our drink, more water. The food however was excellent
At Manna, the old Lobster Inn has been reborn and transformed. All that was special about the Lobster Inn, especially the location and views on the water, have been retained, but all that needed updating and improving has been updated and improved. The food and service are first class. We will be returning again and again.
A lovely restaurant on the canal but very disappointing food and menu.
Food was overly complicated and underwhelming. Service spotty. We waited 30 minutes between our appetizer and entree. Not much ambiance besides the view. The restaurant is FREEZING!
Yum! Great meal as usual.
Lobster good but too expensive. Served with 5 large Red potatoes and corn which were old and overcooked or reheated. Skip the large red potatoes and lower the price!
The restaurant was recently renovated and looks the same except for paint. It’s disgusting and you stick to the tables!!! The lobster was good but the potatoes and corn were awful. Tasted like they were made a week ago. Never going back. Too bad
It was our first visit to the Lobster Inn in over 25 years. The decor is nice if simple - painted white with blue accents. Some of the old wooden hatch tabletops are still in use from days of old. We were there after dark so could not see much of the water view but it would be spectacular during the day.
The food is very good. All of the seafood was very fresh and tasty. There were four of us for dinner. The frito misto was a generous portion with tender calamari and plenty of fried veggies.
We went to Manna for the first time on a Friday night in August. We were amazed to get a reservation, but we saw a fair number of empty tables. The place is barn-like, painted white, with very simple decor but more than acceptable for a fish joint on the water. The views, especially from the second floor are excellent. Having read some bad reviews, we were prepared for mediocre service, but it was better than expected. We got drinks and a salad and bread fairly quickly, but waited quite a bit for entrees. The food was good, not great, and the menu is quite limited. My husband had a 1.75 lb lobster which he enjoyed, and I had the catch of the day, Mahi-Mahi in this case, which was quite good but a very small portion, with an arugula salad on the side. By the time we finished dinner at 9:30 or so, the second floor was almost empty of diners, which isn't a good sign for a Friday night in the Hamptons in the summer. I think this place could make it but needs a lot more attention to a better menu and smoother flow of food out of the kitchen. We may try it again once the season ends, but we also didn't like it enough to put in on our regular dining out list. I hope the owners pay attention to the reviews and work the kinks out.
Fantastic restaurant with beautiful location and exceptional service once you are checked in.
Baked clams where completely dry, lobsters where ok at best.
The waiter Joe and hostess Marge were extremely accommodating. The view was amazing and the ambiance pleasant. The food was either excellent or very disappointing. Appetizers were great but one of the entrees was poor at best. Didn’t look like what was presented in the menu. Although when we noted it to the waiter and chef they did remove it from our bill much to our satisfaction. They birthday was celebrated by the staff with a lovely dessert. Thanks to the waiter.
New restaurant, in classic Southampton space. Some kinks to work out with service and the bar , otherwise good
Happy to see this renovated place back in business. Great setting. Food was very good and the value for money is perfect. Hard to find in the Hamptons where we sometimes can feel taken advantage of. Very fresh seafood. Bravo, Kudos to the team.
it's more or less your average seafood place that you see in every coastal town. Shiplap on the walls and white and nautical blue interior nothing special. The food was good. We had the surf and turf both servings were small but adequate. The steak was a little tough and fatty but flavorful. The lobster was broiled with a nice bread crumb filling but very small lobster and they forgot to give us tools to crack it open, The pasta dish was very flavorful but should be with heavy use of cream and butter. It was supposed to be trout but they ran out and at first said I couldn't order it. I suggested substituting another fish ( fluke) and they did. The deviled egg appy was a home run and the melon salad full of flavor and very fresh. All in all it's fine for a night out I would maybe go back but if I didn't I wouldn't be upset
Overall very good. Disappointed in our margarita before dinner and they were very limited in wine bottle selections, but the food was very good, especially the appetizers we shared (crab salad, baked clams, and tuna tartare). To have broader appeal, they should offer a basic lobster dinner special at a market or slightly discounted price and maybe include a small salad to accompany entree rather than everything a la carte.
