Mandala Kitchen & Bar is a modern Vietnamese and Thai casual fine-dining restaurant that Head Chef, Kieu Pham. conceptualized and created over the past few years with partner Dang Tran. Pham first arrived to Austin to attend the University of Texas at Austin, but later began developing her home cook skills into a passion and career. Her inspiration and flavors comes directly from her mother's kitchen and by combining recipes from her family with her own flair and flavors.

We’re so happy we stumbled on to Mandala. By far the best green and red curries in Austin and their “non traditional” dishes are terrific too. The pancakes are great and my son really loved the Cajun fried rice. We have been there 3 times now and it is now part of the regular rotation.

The starters are the best -- great Spring roles and edamame with truffle oil. Chef/owner was extremely accommodating to the Vegan in our company ... no problem creating several vegan options.

Food was good, and the staff were friendly and efficient. But if you’re looking for authentic Thai and /or Vietnamese then this isn’t the place. Flavors were interesting, but enjoyable!
