    Been going here when we visit SLO for past 14 years and it was as delicious as ever. Damion was excellent as was entire staff.

    Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The chicken Alfredo lacked any real flavor, leaving it bland and forgettable. The mac and cheese with short rib was just okay—nothing special. The bread balls were hard and served cold, which made them nearly inedible. To make matters worse, the service was poor. Our waiter barely checked on us, and it took forever just to get a simple water refill. It’s especially sad because we had high hopes after seeing this place featured on television. Sadly, it didn’t live up to the hype.

    We got seated for our reservation 20 minutes late. Our server had too many tables. We had to ask the host to get us our server when we were seated because he never came around.

    Our server, Damien, made dinner suggestions and he nailed it. And we trusted him with dessert too which again- A+ He definitely made our experience that much better by his happy energy and his love of where he works. This will be our new favorite spot.

    The food was excellent. The wait was terrible. We went for dinner on Mothers Day. We had a reservation through open table for 7:15pm. We were not seated until 7:40. Our server was sweet and attentive, but even though we ordered appetizers immediately they were not served until 8:15, an hour after our initial reservation time. The server told us that the kitchen was backed up because they were busy filling to-go orders, which should not be a priority over in-house guests. Our appetizers were delivered to the wrong table so even those were delayed. We were finally served dinner after 8:30. The meatball appetizer was delicious, the spaghetti carbonara was excellent & the squash ravioli also delicious. Fettuccine Alfredo was meh. My son forgot his bag and the servers ran out to give it to us when we left, which was very sweet.

    We had our “Mothers Day early dinner” at Mama’s meatball this year. Nico and his staff continue to exceed my expectations. The food quality, value, presentation and taste was top notch. The service staff does a great job and added greatly to our enjoyment. I had the Ossobuco that was served with a very tasty sauce. Tender and delicious. Our guests ordered the chicken parm, Lasagna dishes. The children had individual pizza’s and they loved them. The garlic bread knots are served hot and are irresistible. This is the closest restaurant experience in SLO to actually dining in Italy. 👍👍👍

    Excellent eggplant parmigiana and they make the tiramisu at the table so it isn't soggy like all the s I have tried. Very reasonable orices.
