Mama's had a during-Covid 3-course special that is no longer on the menu. Too bad, as it was perfect for us senior diners. The menu now is pretty ordinary Italian fare suited for a chain. We noticed that they are trying to franchise "Mama's", so that seems about right.

Always amazing! Cannot say enough about those yummy meatballs and garlic knots! We each got something different and all was unique and delicious. Seafood is fresh and meat sauce Ragu was amazing as well. Love mama’s ♥️

Disappointed as the squash ravioli’s sauce was heavy & bland. I was looking forward to the ricotta cheese cake but the piece I got must have been old as it was dry. Not like the former moist version I had before. The restaurant also has no decaf coffee or tea . I bought my own tea & was served warm water . Our waiter must have been having a bad day also . Will I try it again ? Yes as I was told the lasagna was great , they’ll probably get fresh cheese cake & the parking is easy on off hours.

I made this reservation months ago Graduation dinner for 2 young men and families We had to wait 30 minutes for our table They finally put us in back right next to bathroom door No one came to table for 10 minutes to offer water menus or glasses fir wine we brought Service got better after that but while we were having dessert Staff was literally mopping the floor around us Not a warm welcome and a very abrupt farewell

We enjoyed our dinner and found the service excellent. It was very busy that night, our waiter did a great job navigating and keeping us in the loop. They hostess even offered us quarters when we were not sure we had put enough in the meter.

Because you had a large catering order, we did wait for quite some time for our meals. The Bread nibbles helped satiate our hunger. My meal, the Gnocchi alla Sorrentina had way too much sauce and the mozzarella cheese was in huge gooey chunks, not pleasant to eat. Serving it in a pizza crust was not necessary. The crust was not tasty, and did not add to the meal. The other three people enjoyed their entrees of lasagne.

We met the chef (maybe owner?) at the Thursday night farmer's market. We let him know we already had a reservation for the next night (found on Yelp). He was so enthusiastic and suggested we order Mama's Famous Mac & Cheese. We took his advice and weren't disappointed! We also got the Bruschetta Fresco which was so yummy! My hubby got the calzone which was as wide as the big plate it was served on. Oh my, and the "bread," which were essentially garlic knots, were so addicting! I'm looking forward to going back on our next visit to SLO.

Mama's Meatball never fails to meet or exceed expectations. This is the second time we've taken our picky eating grandkids to Mama's. Why, because they eat every bit of their entrees....and the adults feel the same way. It didn't matter if we ordered a pizza or one of the Gnocchi's or the simple spaghetti and Meatball (actually there were 2 of them) or the ravioli or anything else...it's all good...try the calamari too!

The waitress forgot to put in my order obviously. She came to the table, asked me what I ordered. Then went back to the kitchen and brought out everyone’s order except mine. She said she’d check on mine and then came back to the table and said they were running behind on my order. However food was being delivered to tables all around me to guest that came after us. Finally 35 minutes later my food finally arrived. It was clear she had not put it in until after she asked me what I had ordered

Just want to start off by saying that everything was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! I took my love to celebrate our 4 year anniversary & they were so accommodating. Our server was phenomenal and overall all staff were courteous and work hard. I highly recommend you go to Mamas Meatballs as they are better than other Italian joints in town.

This was not my previous experience with Mamas - the food was not exceptional. The rack of lamb was overcooked and drowned in a red sauce. Both pasta dishes arrived lukewarm at best. Bread knots were not warm and very hard. The caesar was large but lacked dressing.However the meatballs were as always, delicious. Maybe an off night, but we were disappointed for a birthday dinner.

We had a lovely lunch at Mama’s Meatballs to celebrate a birthday. They took care of us from the moment we walked in until when we left. A good time was had by all and the food was wonderful. Highly recommended!

Great restaurant to go to when your parents are in town, a little pricey but again… parents. Food was so good, desserts are out of this world. Very nice servers as well. Makes you feel like you’re in any Italians pantry with the wall of dried pastas.

I ordered Ossobuco. Above the entrees, it states that they are served with steamed organic vegetables and potatoes. I did not get either one. In the description of the Ossobuco, it states "Braised veal shank with vegetables in a white wine sauce, served with Parmesan cheese risotto." When I asked the waitress for the vegetables and potatoes, she asked about it and told me that they are only braised with them, they don't come with the meal, even though it says served with vegetables and potatoes. They would not honor what the menu said.

This is one of our favorite places to dine in SLO. We love the salmon piccata. They offer some delicious gluten-free options as well. The only issue can be parking, especially on Thursdays when SLO has its farmer’s market nearby.

The host put us in the front close to the door which was cold when the door opened. We had reservations and I asked if she had any other tables. She said no but within 10 minutes a couple was seated away from the door. Another couple came in and they too were seated away from the door. So the hist lied. We went to this restaurant because they have pasta ravioli. Nope they didn't have any. Waitress never checked if everything was ok or if we needed anything else after the dinner was served. Food was very good. Unfortunately we won't be back
