    We always go to Mala for brunch on our last day. This time we decided to schedule dinner. We will definitely be doing that again! Service was fabulous, the food was fantastic (mahi mahi, mashed Yukons and a delectable mushroom sauce for me; catch of the day with veggies and a squash mash for hubby). We brought home the bread pudding and enjoyed it for breakfast 😋

    In the past the food was considerably better. The server was not great wanting to rush the ordering process. The "over sauce" all of the dishes. The pasta could have been a winner but was swimming in oil. Not a great experience

    It was all excellent! I recommend the calamari, scallops and risotto, ribeye steak and shrimp…Mai tai drinks! Super good!

    We had an enjoyable experience at Mala. The service for our party of nine was excellent, very friendly, competent and knowledgeable. The menu variety and food and presentation was very good with well prepared choices, that suited everyone’s taste. Overall Mala represents an excellent dining value at a picturesque Maui waterfront location that feels lmore like a restaurant than a tavern.

    Great food. Average atmosphere. Really expensive like everything in Maui - especially compared to virtually anywhere in the Mediterranean, Australia or New Zealand. Been here many times. Now they even ad a 4% “kitchen service charge”.
