We absolutely loved our dinner by the water. The food was outstanding as was the service. We are saddened to learn that it was destroyed in the fires just one day after our dinner. Prayers to the owners and staff.

This was a highlight of our vacation! Jose was our server, he was above and beyond! The ambiance could not be beat… oceanside, local turtles, splashing waves & warm breeze. Thank you for a special brunch… we will be back!!

Mala was able to accommodate our change in party from 4 to 6 people at short notice. The view of the sunset was breath-taking as always. Service was excellent. Food was also great although I do miss the their whole snapper fried fish from many years ago under previous chef / owner.

For one of the top restaurants in Maui the service was very mediocre. I was surprised at how inattentive our waitress was given that it was not overly busy. It was almost like she had someplace else to be. Given the great reputation that Mala has and the wonderful experience I had at the sister restaurant Dukine a few days prior and for drinks before our dinner, I was expecting to be equally impressed and sadly was not.

Great food, friendly, knowledgeable servers and fun atmosphere and location. Initially, we tried to book a table for six and our request was denied so we booked a table for two and a table for four and assumed we would dine at two separate tables. When we arrived, there were several tables for six and even eight available and we were told we could sit at a table for six. I do not understand how the reservation system works when you are a party of six. Still, a wonderful dining experience!

Any reservations made separately are treated as separate reservations. Our staff does the best they can at navigating our small, yet busy restaurant and we try to accommodate large parties if we notice guests are asking to sit together. Overall this place was just meh, the food was meh and the service was meh. I think it would be 10 Times better if we were sitting outside. We made the reservations super early and I feel that the outside seating should be reserved for reservations. The outside was stunning however but inside with the bar was super loud.

Kat is a great server. They honored our request for a table with a sunset view. Ono and Ahi were very good. Caesar salads minus onions were also excellent. Kat overheard a conversation about how we had just celebrated our 40th anniversary and gifted us a malasada dessert.

This unassuming restaurant really pack a punch once you sink your teeth into their delicious entrees. The sound of waves crashing just a few feet from our table was the perfect atmosphere. Be sure to order the fresh bread. The ahi tuna dish was perfection. Can’t wait to return.

Always been very pleased with the quality of offerings. Service was very good. I especially enjoyed the fish and chips. We have never been disappointed. Of course if you have an ocean view, just can’t be beat.
