   They were closed, and neglected to inform OpenTable, or the guests who had reservations for that matter. They are inconsistent as to when they are open for business, and this operationTdoes not seem to be a priority to the owners, judging by the way it is run. I've tried to make reservations several times and none worked out due to different reasons. Don't bother calling, as they do not answer, and if you try to leave a voicemail, the box is usually full. If it is not, don't expect a call back. Great place for reducing your food consumption, but I would not plan on a meal here or you may starve.

   After receiving an e-mail mail confirming our reservations, we Dr I've to the restaurant and it was closed. Wasted time and energy.

   Lehua and I came in on our Saturdate and had a great meal! Chatted with Chef Ige and discussed many things about his growing business We shared a Tasting Menu that was nothing short of spectacular I cook Venison every week on my Barbacue & Chef Ige knows how to make it happen Portions were large and assorted Prices very fair We are excited to see the new Ala Carte Menu and the forward momentum to use Local Game / Exotic ingrediants

   The meal and everything else from our experience at Makana was fantastic!!! The food was expertly prepared with innovative seasonings and flavor combinations. This restaurant is truly unique in Honolulu and I love that the ingredients are so local and fresh. I already want to go back!!!
