Beautiful setting/decor, courteous, efficient service, outstanding food and drink. Great wine list.
Perhaps one of the finest French restaurant experiences we have had, and that includes Daniel and Le Grand Colbert in Paris. From the fresh flowers everywhere to cocktails in Jacques bar to the meal itself this was a 10 out of 10.
While Michelin star restaurant portions typically require a microscope, the portions at Majorelle while not large were substantive and we walked away sated.
I had the smoked salmon w caviar and my girlfriend had the burrata. Phenomenal flavors. For the main I had the lobster risotto with big chunks of sweet lobster and the risotto was cooked perfectly w a hint of saffron. She had the filet mignon, simple elegant and flavorful. For dessert we shared the chocolate soufflé (of course!) and a shaved watermelon w chocolate beads doused in vodka. Yummm
The service. The food. The experience. Expensive? Yes. But worth it for a special occasion. Her bday!
As always a lovely venue and excellent if pricey food- but you knew that going in. A throwback to elegant New York dining where at least some patrons make the effort to dress up and act like it’s a special occasion. One downside is that if you aren’t a big drinker and only want two courses instead of three the staff acts rather put out. And though service is efficient and professional you are not going to feel any warmth from anyone here.
Everything was fabulous. We are grateful to have an outstanding French restaurant in New York!
The meal and experience was impeccable through and through. Highly recommend.
My birthday dinner dining experience was ok I had the 3-course pre-fixe option. The Majorelle salad was honestly bland and was not beautifully presented. It was boring with a few sheets of bib lettuce and chopped green veggies layered on. I wish it had more flavor and vibrant colors presented in previous images! I had the special fish of the day which tasted good topped with some black caviar in a nice white cream sauce accompanied with white rice. White plate, white fish, white rice, and white tablecloth with no pop. The main course was flavorful but again, I wish the plating was better. They could have changed the rice to wild rice or and with colorful veggies to keep this dish interesting. For dessert, I had the watermelon and vodka granite. It was refreshing, colorful, and delicious. The service is excellent this review is based solely on the meal.
We enjoyed our dinner. I wish there had been another choice or two for fish/seafood. That was a little disappointing. However, we will return.
The service, food and ambiance are classic. Impeccable at every level. This is fine dining as an art form.
Fantastic food service and ambiance as always ! Highly recommended
Sensational service and atmosphere
Quenelles were superb. Everything else excellent.
Last night was our first time at Majorelle and it was phenomenal! The menu is wonderful, as is the selection of libations, service, and quality of food and drink; the ambiance is also delightful. It was an outstanding experience overall and I highly recommend. We will be returning very soon.
Beautiful restaurant ! Great for a special occasion . Food was unique and service exquisite.
Amazing! Beautiful place and the food, WOW!
Food, service, nyc and the excellence of restaurant !
I love Majorelle! The food and service were outstanding! I can't wait to return!
Majorelle is lovely and elegant. The food is beautifully prepared and the service and setting are impeccable. It was a bit noisier last night than I remember from the past, but we were seated near a large table. We love Majorelle for special occasions.
Couldn’t have been more perfect. Great, personal service by all and particularly impressed by the owner, Charles, and his engagement with his customers. That’s why he has such a long and successful career of delivering the finest when almost all of the other great names have not survived.
We went for an anniversary dinner and were not disappointed. The service is very attentive and the food spectacular. The grand marnier souffle is not to be missed for desert.
superb food and drinks. excellent service. a little pricey.
food average - prices high - flowers gorgeous service nice but not great. wine overprices
Very professional. We would return again for a special night.
Great ambiance and service. The coctails were delicous, food could be a little more creative.
Majorelle always offers fine cuisine and Sophistication.
Elegant yet inviting atmosphere with impeccable service.
One of the best restaurants in the world. Service, food, decor. Nothing can top this place.
Quality of food and service are outstanding.
Decor is inviting . Will certainly return again and again
One of the finest restaurants in the city. Excellent service and cuisine.
Needs more extensive menu.
Seats are uncomfortable.
Should have arms and cloth seat.
I was sliding off chair.
Did my 60th Birthday and this restaurant didn’t disappoint!
Food is delicious and displayed beautiful. Elegant place.
One of my favorite restaurants in New York City...always perfection!
Excellent food and service. Terrific for special occasions.
Exceptional experience.. truly perfect in every way.
My most favorite restaurant in the city. Always such a treat to see Charles. Most elegant and exclusive experience
Food was great
Limited vegetarian options. Otherwise, spectacular.
Truly a luxurious experience that left us wanting for nothing other than a lower bill. Still this is where to go to treat yourself!!!
I had made my reservation on OpenTable clearly inside. When I arrived they wanted to seat us outside. When I mentioned I had asked for inside, they literally gave us a table outside the main area. They also said if you reserve online it is always outside....Although, I mentioned it was our anniversary, we didn’t even get a candle. Food is very good but for the price there are many other good options. Service just ok.
The best upscale French restaurant in NYC. They have a sophisticated and exceptional service
