The service, wait staff knowledge and food was as good as it gets. The Dover sole with mustard sauce was amazing. Oxtail was intense and very tender. Floating Islands and soufflé were wonderful. Among the best in NYC.
The food was delicious & plentiful & different. Service wonderful &helpful. Cocktails enchanting.
Outdoor seating w/fireplace a unique experience.
Excellent food with exceptional service.
Classic French that is a good go-to for fine dining in NYC.
Love the flowers and space which is bright and airy, nice all year alfresco area to dine in specially during the winter as this will cheer you up while having a wonderful meal!
Very good food!!!! Healthy and tasty
Very good mix of french and oriental cuisine
Not very impressed. It was very old school. 3 course Prix fixed. Seems they thought larger portions would make up for mediorce quality.
As a world traveler and a diner, I can honestly say that this is a restaurant for adults who cherish excellent food, service, and ambiance. The restaurant is tucked into a charming small hotel off Madison Ave. From your time of entry, you are surrounded by charming staff who make you feel warm and welcome. The room is beautiful and the food and wine superb. The noise level allows for normal conversation. The dinner was a total experience and I will return as often as I can.
First time - spectacular. Service and food superb. At last, class with comfort. Recommended by friends, I am now a big fan. My clients from out of town love the Hotel, but I never knew the restaurant was a gem. One of the wonders of living in NYC.
35 minutes late seating us for a 9:00 pm reservation.
Service is polite and accommodating. The Maitre'd, famous for his hospitality for many years in other well known locations, maintains his ability to make everyone feel like a welcome friend. Personnel were attentive and at the ready for any request, but unobtrusive. Food was delicious, and beautifully presented. Sommelier offered a reasonably priced wine without being asked for a limit, providing the opportunity to move to a higher price should I have wanted. Have enjoyed the restaurant several times now with different size groups and have always appreciated the deft handling regardless of whether there were two or 6 diners.
Majorelle is expensive and absolutely with it! The flowers, the food, the ambience, the service... All are perfect. The elegant bar area and Club Room are nice additions.
Gorgeous restaurant. Beautiful and delicious food! Can’t recommend highly enough!
The ambiance and the food were both very good. But the gracious and charming service - especially welcome at a place that could otherwise be stiff and formal - added that extra frisson.
This is a classic, elegant setting with fine food, French and Mediterranean based. The service is exceptional and the flowers are exquisite. It is an experience you won’t forget.
It’s was delightful as usual . I love meeting friends for a wonderful evening.
The service was just adequate. I feel we were a bit rushed and disinterested. Flowers and decor were outstanding. The prices were very high. Overall, the experience was fine, but I don't know if I would go there again.
Wonderful luncheon at Marjorelle. Beautiful setting, winter garden room is very special. Quiet, but elegant. Great for a business or social luncheon.
We were celebrating our anniversary that day and wanted something unique. It was the best decision ever to go to Majorelle. The experience was amazing starting from the moment we walked in: exquisite flower arrangements made us feel like we entered mysterious garden , we were greeted by lovely host who took us straight to the table, and the attentive servers took care of us right away. The restaurant gifted us an anniversary dessert, which was very thoughtful and made our night even more special. The food was impeccable, the interior very sophisticated, and the staff very friendly and professional. I would recommend this place for any special occasions or if you need to impress somebody and provide them with an amazing experience! Definitely coming back.
We went when it first opened and it was wonderful. The attention to detail in the food and especially the service was very good. We went again and, again, it was very good.
Went this past weekend and it's taken a downhill turn. The prices went up and the service took a nosedive. It was unfortunate. The food was 'good'. Not as good as it was our previous visits.
Thirty minutes to get a menu; then an hour to get food. Salmon ordered medium and came raw; while being fixed (took thirty minutes) other guest’s poached egg went ice cold. First table given in conservatory was freezing, so moved. Terrible experience—-service and food. And at these prices ($275.00 for two, no alcohol ) it was shocking. But beautiful flowers.
From the greeting to the departure - Simple perfection. Charles Masson triumph.
Wonderful and delicious! Very attentive service too.
Possibly the most gorgeous restaurant in New York. Exquisite food, ambulance and service. Expensive, but worth it. A most special experience!
OMG. We went there last Saturday night and was blown away by the excellent food and service!!! Everything was perfect! The rolls are to die for!! A very beautiful restaurant. We highly recommend hands down.
A stylish piece of the right bank of Paris on the east side.
The food and service were suburb....as was the atmosphere. Simply one of the loveliest restaurants in NY.
The best French Restaurant in New York City!
Non intrusive service and makes you feel at home...
The food tastes as if it was made just for you and your guests..
Everything is spectacular here - the flowers, the food, the service - all totally wonderful! A number of friends have raved about Majorelle recently, and it is hard to imagine that this gem has been under the radar screen for more than a year. The bar scene was hot, there is a club room that looked inviting, and the hotel space looked beautiful! Made me think about a weekend get away from our NYC apartment... Can't wait to return! Loved seeing familiar staff from other great NYC restaurants...
While the restaurant is very elegant, quiet and with excellent service, the food falls short of what would be expected of a $120+ pp prix fixe dinner. A simple request concerning handling of the check, after 2 requests, was totally mishandled, embarrassing me and my guests. Several apologies and a bottle of champagne after dessert did not excuse the lapse.
Charles Masson has done it again! Flowers, food, ambiance are fabulous!
Probably the best and most beautiful restaurant in New York.
Wonderful ambience, delicious food, gracious service
Fabulous ambiance plus great food and service. A very special restaurant.
Amazing delicious elegant and divine.
Classic French cuisine and service in the grand style.
This is an absolutely genuine French restaurant. Food and service are top of the line. I have eaten here 3 times in the last month or so and each time it has been superb in every way. I had a special cod dish, lamb chops (so juicy and thick!) and for dessert oeuf a la neige, creme caramel and a raspberry clafoutis (and yes I had 3!!). The wines we were offered were all great as well as the advice. I must admit I was somewhat astounded at the dinner price for 2, but the lunch is a true value as is often the case with NY top restaurants.
Marjorelle afforded a wonderful leisurely lunch for a friend and me. There are not many restaurants left in Manhattan, NYC that offer such a lush ambiance with huge gorgeous flower arrangements, yet the effect is cozy. The food is wonderful and beautifully served. This is a restaurant to come back to.
Ssssoooo civilized in the middle of Manhattan
Fabulous European style
Tea room then cocktail lounge sheer delight of discretion
