The food, the room, and the service capture the sophistication and glamour of mid-century New York penthouse life, and you feel instantly at home.     We came here for a birthday celebration today at lunch on May 9. We ordered the Potato Doughnuts, the Filet Mignon, Rigatoni and Icelandic Cod. Sadly the Filet Mignon was quite salty, and with medium cooked, it is close to well-done. Surprisingly, the Rigatoni was also quite salty. The Icelandic Cod was perfect.

    We dined at Major Tom recently. While the reception was welcoming and the staff was friendly, there were a few things that could be improved. We ordered the duck breast medium rare, but it came out a little too raw and quite hard to chew, which was disappointing. Additionally, the noise level in the restaurant was pretty high, which made it a bit difficult to fully enjoy the experience.

    We had the best time at Major Tom’s! The location & views were amazing! We had the BEST server (David F) who accommodated all our needs. The food & custom cocktails were to die for! We had an overhaul great experience & would highly recommend coming here!

    We went to Major Tom’s to celebrate our 58th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed . The view from the 40th floor was amazing, the food was excellent as was the service.

    Major Tom was a great lunch spot for downtown Calgary. It is a very elegant space with a great view of the mountains. The food delicious, a little expensive but that seems to be everywhere these days. Service was fantastic as our server digilent with questions as we had an allergy at the table. I would recommend this place for a nice lunch whether business or pleasure.
