Maison Pucha Bistro
Lovely atmosphere wonderful food French/Latin fusion. Awesome service
Love this restaurant. Our waiter, Anthony, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Recommend this restaurant for special evenings in particular.
If you’re looking for an outstanding, carefully crafted meal with a beautiful presentation, Maison Pucha is the place to go. And Sunday night is very quiet (for those with hearing issues). It is more vibrant for brunch or Fri/Sat nights. And of course the chocolate soufflé due is not to be missed (but all of the desserts are also fantastic). From many visits, I can recommend the watermelon salad, kale salad, duck l’aronge, steak frites, salmon, trout, and scallops. Basically whatever appeals.
Nice place. Interesting food with a twist of French/South America.
I really wish I had more good to say. The waiter either had something going on, personally, or he was just terrible. The food wasn’t great. In fact, Of the many French restaurants in Houston, it rates near the bottom.
Went for New Year's Eve. Had a 3 course prix fixe menu that looked good but was better on paper than on the plate. One of the dishes had a single boiled and peeled whole potato as a side. For the price charged, we expected outstanding but got ok.
Excellent food great service portions could be a bit larger esp the duck. Mashed potatoes amazing! Beef short ribs very good.
Fixed price Christmas Eve dinner was wonderful. Great place to host out of town company.
The food was superb, specially the broth on the branzino, hands down the best food I've had in Houston, and at a non pretentious restaurant, that's a bonus for me
A go to restaurant for us...and we eat out allot. Consistent, reasonable noise level, and good service make it one of our favorites in a city of great restaurants.
Steak and frittes my favorite and don’t forget the soufflé for dessert.
As usual I had an excellent lunch and service at MPB. Love the new set lunch menu as an option.
The lunch prix fix menu is delicious and very affordable
Great, imaginative food. Half priced wines on Tuesday through Thursday are a good value.
We had a delightful brunch before attending the Houston Chamber Choir performamce at the Villa de Matel. Waylon was incredible in timing everything so that we were out in one hour, but never felt rushed. He even perfectly timed the Chocolate Soufle to arrive in time to enjoy each savory bite and leave in time to get there with time to spare.
This is my go to restaurant for the most delicious French food with the most beautiful presentation in town.
I look forward to my next visit.
Fantastic food. I can't believe we haven't heard of this place before. Get the duck a l'orange you wont be disappointed.
The food was wonderful! The ambiance was fabulous!
You serve the best bowl of French Onion Soup on the continent. What's not to like?
Had the three course business menu- Butternut squash soup, salmon w/risotto and profiteroles. Excellent food and service.
Real lovely inside and the food was amazing. We had a date night and it was topped off perfectly by the cocktails and food and service. Thank you!
Food was amazing and great service
This was my second time and the food and service were exceptional. We had Ricardo for our waiter a second time and he really understands service. He’s amazing. The food is well prepared as is the presentation. I had the fish ceviche and the market catch which was the branzino. All outstanding. I’ll be back again.
The food was delicious. Deserts here are off the wall scrumptious and beautifully presented. Service was impeccable.
Patio dining was great on a beautiful day in Houston🌹
Can’t wait for our next vidut❤️
Beautifully designed and comfortable restaurant. Was probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Will definitely be going back.
The food was excellent. The service was very good
We have spent many special occasions at Maison Pucha and Thanksgiving was our favorite. The food was superb and the service was great as usual. We will return.
Fabulous food and service. One of the best restaurants in Houston
All around delicious & wonderful. Steak tartare. Duck breast. Pork shank. Ecuadorian chocolate bombe. Dragon's Tooth by Trefethen red wine. Great service.
Wonderful dinner with table-side Caesar salad, delicious black Angus steak frites and off the charts Astrodome dessert - pumpkin mouse covered in exquisite Ecuadorian dark chocolate. Excellent service and great environment. Truly a neighborhood gem in the Heights.
We enjoyed our brunch here the other weekend. Maison Pucha Bistro is a beautiful place in The Heights.
Tried the turkey panini and the spicy lamb burger. Very nice choices. Great service provided by Anthony.
The only fault I have with Maison Pucha Bistro is the parking. They have ample parking in back but it's blocked by the valet. There isn't any other parking so you're forced to use the complimentary valet which really isn't complimentary. Let me park my own car.
Great cuisine and excellent libations. Friendly staff and clean establishment. If I had to nitpick, I would suggest the service staff offered to replace our plates/dishes as different courses were served. Example: we had the salads served and apps served (which were great), but we were not offered individual plates for the apps, per person. also, after entrees were served and there was crumbles on the table, it would have been nice if the servers offered to clean the table prior to the next course or just for general upscale service.
Having said that, it was still a very good dining experience and I would DEF return for another culinary adventure.
The food and drinks were super, the duck looked especially good. The service was inexcusably slow and inefficient. We were told several times that there were several private parties-unfortunately, that’s not an excuse.
The food is always exceptional and the waitstaff is attentive. Save room for one of the best Souffle’s around.
We’ve never been disappointed here
We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant. A wonderful atmosphere, quiet music playing In the background, absolutely delicious food, and spot on service. We will definitely be back!
Great spot for a business lunch. The food was very good and well presented. Service was spotless.
The food, presentation and service are all top notch. The chocolate souffle is to die for! Sitting on the patio when the weather is nice makes it even more enjoyable. We'll be back.
This is a WONDERFUL restaurant. I’ve been going since they opened. Highly recommend for quality, service and menu ingenuity. I experienced my very first hiccup this week. My soup, and my dining guests soup, was barely luke warm when it arrived. It was resolved within minutes, literally, and then perfect. If you like white wine order a bottle of the Chablis - lovely. I do wish they would bring back their Mac-n-Cheese fries! Unique and fun option to start. Thanks for keeping the popovers!
I was very disappointed with the restaurant i had heard so many good things . We were sat to the left of the entrance and the smoke and strong smells from the kitchen was over whelming My clothes stank and so did my hair of very strong food i do believe the Exhaust was not working good . The Beef that my husband got was stringy and tough and when we told our Waiter he stated he would tell the chef and after that our service went downhill.
My husband stated he will not be going back .
The smoke from the kitchen filled the restaurant and I smelled like burnt grease after I departed. Disappointed that they don’t have a better ventilation system.
