   We celebrated a friend's birthday. She loves classic French food, and she loved Maison. The food was outstanding, and more than worth the price. The service was terrific as well--our waitress let us set the pace, and was attentive but not intrusive. I think that this is one of the best, upscale meals in Milwaukee. The wine list was also awesome, and again, fairly priced. You will not be disappointed!

   Had a nice meal at Maison. Started with the escargots which were good. The problem was they were served with the classical tong to hold the shell, but the fork given was a standard salad fork not the small proper fork. This resulted in having to get the escargot out of the shell with a knife. The Beet Salad and Onion Soup were very good. Entrees were the Fish Special and the Rib Eye, again both very good. Service was fine. Restaurant was kind of quiet for a Saturday.

   My family came in for mother's day brunch and we were not impressed. Our server never introduced herself to my family and instead we overheard her say that she was annoyed that no one was tipping 20%. We waited about 20 mins before we received our mimosas and had our orders taken. We received a plate of 4 biscuits 20 minutes after placing our order. We did not get any plates and I had to walk up to the bar and ask for plates. The soup arrived about a half hour after we received the rolls. The soup was incredibly salty and we didn't have any water on our table. I had to again go up to the bar and ask for water as our table was not tended to. Then we waited for 45-50 minutes to receive our main course. I ordered rare steak and eggs and received cold eggs with incredibly tough, salty, and burnt steak. I did not get a steak knife and didn't want to send the meal back as the waitress did not return to ask how our meal was so I decided to eat it as to not ruin mother's day brunch. We asked for boxes and water after waiting with our finished plates in front of us for 20 min. We never received the water and I had to again ask for it. As we waited for dessert, my family grew so annoyed with the innatentive service that I went to the bar to ask for our check. The creme brule was the best part of the meal but it still wasn't fantastic. This brunch was 50 a person and the food was most definitely not worth the price. If the food is that price, it should be worth it. But no part of our dining experience was worth it. Highly disappointed with the whole ordeal and wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. The worst part is that there were only 4 other tables dining at the restaurant so there really was no excuse for the poor service and poorly prepared food.

   Maison is really a fantastic find. Small and quaint with incredible food. This is one not to be missed. The chef/owner also greeted us after the meal which made the entire experience even more personal.

   Food was ambient temperature and not so great. Server was nice and friendly but service was slow. Took a long time to order and get drinks. Salad came out same time as entrees. Steak has too many frites. FISH was not served very warm making it unappetizing. I hope it was an offnight or maybe they are not staffed for a big crowd. I want to like this place and will try it again.

   French menu and ambience! Food was even better than we expected. Try the Ribeye or Coq au Vin. Wine prices are reasonable, and we'll be back soon.

   I was impressed with the food and drinks at Maison. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you recieve.

    The restaurant is quite charming, but the sound makes conversation somewhat challenging. our dinners were excellent and beautifully presented. The quality was very fine and I'm pleased to recommend this fine restaurant to all who enjoy French cuisine. My friends and I will be back soon.
