Amazing meal. Probably my best in my 2 month stay in the Charleston area. Loved finding out after the fact Maison is owned by a fellow Fairfield County CT native!

Absolutely outstanding meal at Maison! Everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly prepared. We had fantastic service from Nate and loved the atmosphere as well. One of Charleston's very best!

Onion Soup Croquette, Steak Tartare, English Pea Tart, Burgundy Escargot,
Mussels Bourride were the fantastic choices on starters. Monk fish was impressive.
Please try both Chocolate Mousse and Fresh Madeleines.Enjoy it.

This was truly one of the best meals that we have have in a long time. The starters in particular are outstanding! Loved the French onion soup croquettes, the mussels, the asparagus, honestly, everything was sensational! Only wish it was in our hometown!

We had been to Maison several times pre- pandemic, and we thought the service was very good and the food excellent, but we went in early April and it seems to have gotten even better!!! It seems to us that they have changed the menu slightly and added more traditionally French bistro dishes- but with a fresh, light, and innovative flair.
I think Maison is one of the top three fine dining restaurants in Chs- and it’s less expensive than many of them.

Our experience at Maison was simply wonderful! The restaurant is set in a delightfully small space with the feel of a little French bistro. We were impressed with the professional, friendly, attentive service. Small but good wine list (including Sancerre). I enjoyed a delicious, generously sized Pate de Campagne as an appetizer. My wife had the English Pea Tart, a first, and enjoyed it thoroughly. She then enjoyed the Coq au Vin and I the Rabbit! We wish we lived closer and could visit more often!

Love this place. The kitchen is always on point and the service is also great. The steak frites was delicious as was the pea tart. My wife loved the diver scallop dish. It’s become a weekly destination for us!

Excellent food and service. Timely on reservation. Little bit of a tiny booth for 5 people but the restaurant wasn’t that big so we appreciated it.

A breath of fresh air after being cooped up at home this last year! Sat at the bar and had magnificent service from Evan! He was great at suggesting food options and pairings! We will be back!! Scallops were excellent!

My husband and I went to Maison to celebrate my birthday. Maison was actually our second choice, but it was serendipitous that we couldn’t get a reservation at the other. Sadly, it seems to be hard to find a French restaurant these days. Charleston is fortunate to have Maison among its many fine restaurants.
We were greeted promptly and warmly, served a complimentary “bulle” to celebrate, and proceeded to delve into the menu. I chose the the Steak Tartare and my husband the Escargot for starters. The steak Tartare was the best I have ever had, and the Escargot also got raves. Our entrees were a monkfish chop and steak frites, both of which were devoured.
We will definitely be back soon.

While we went to Maison for their famous burger, we were there on the wrong night as the burger is only served on Wednesday. That said, the experience was fantastic with STELLAR service, sublime food and a great vibe.

I asked the server to surprise me for an entree and ended up with the rabbit en croute which was outstanding!

The food and service were outstanding!!! The team adeptly balanced being attentive without being intrusive. The food was exquisite! The cocktails and wine list were interesting without being contrived. The rabbit en croute was perfect for the rainy night and the suggestion to remove the top entirely to ensure that it stayed crisp was a great tip! The madeleines arrived warm and ended the evening on a delightful note.

Unbelievable. Menu is creative and approachable. The presentation and taste are exceptional. I can’t compliment this restaurant enough. A MUST in Charleston. I’ve been to almost every restaurant and this is top 3 hands down no question.

I have now made this a must when I visit Charleston, it never disappoints. Bartender is incredibly friendly and the food is fabulous, best tartare I’ve had and desserts are always delicious. Already planned my next trip and it will include Maison. Always!

Everything was just amazing.

We had the onion croquette appetizer and it was truly one of the better and more innovative dishes I’ve had in a while, and then I had the chicken (recommended by our waiter) and can’t remember a better chicken for quite a while. The chocolate mousse for dessert was also excellent.

More than anything, the service was perfect. We had Tony on Saturday evening and he was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu, wine, and even recommended a cocktail bar for us after. I can’t say enough about Maison, it was a great experience!

Maison was everything I hoped for! Exceptional food and cocktails in an upbeat French style bistro; bustling with trendy people enjoying a night out.

Everything was amazing! We went in for drinks and apps because we had a reservation elsewhere but by the end of the night we kind of wished we had just stayed and had entrees there. Steak tartare and escargots are always our go to. Bartender was super nice and attentive.

Our first time here and it was original and authentic at the same time. The Flounder Quenelle was decadent and delicious, I loved it! We also had the steak tartar, asparagus salad, pate, onion soup croquette (amazing), and Rabbit prepared in a pot pie pastry. EXCEPTIONAL all the way around... Terrific cocktails as well!
