   Incredible food - the presentation , quality and flavor - exquisite . Definitely worthy of a restaurant in the center of Paris . The service was also impeccable. We will be back ! ( we had steak frites and the soft shell crab special - wow !)

   Our absolute favorite of our trip! Attentive service, started with one of my favorite Rose wines. Husband had a fun cocktail. Started with an awesome and creative Onion soup croquette. We had the monkfish, flounder and the special of the day, a burger. All were so fantastic! The fries were handcut and delicious too. The madeleines for dessert were hot and fresh- yummy!

   I had escargots and a rabbit stew en croute, with fresh morel mushrooms, carrots and peas. The food was good, but each dish too salty for my taste. Also, the rabbit had little taste and was somewhat chewy. The coffee crème caramel for dessert was light and pleasant. The server was friendly and the ambience very casual, relaxed. I thought the overall price of about $90 (without tip) was high, but understandable I guess given the ingredients of what I ordered.

   The flounder is always good no matter what the preparation. It’s our favorite dish in Charleston as well as the restaurant

   We have been to Maison several times and came away. very disappointed this time. I thought the service was condescending. My steak tartare was the worst that I've ever had, when I asked for some bread to go with it I was given two thin slices of bread and charged an extra dollar. But my wife did have the flounder and thought it was delicious.

   Bruce, Jonathan has worked with us for 4 years. I can think of 100s of words to describe him, condescending is not one. You ordered an appetizer as an entree against Jonathan's recommendation. After trying a bite of your friends appetizer, which was your entree, you decided to change your order as the entrees were being plated. I'm not sure what line of business you are in, but in ours we don't waste product or incur a loss because a guest changes their mind 30 minutes after ordering and 2 minutes prior to entrees arriving at the table. We charged you $1 for bread. In today's economy, I think that's more than fair. Do you normally get things for free? Perhaps Maison is not the place for you.

    We’ve been several times as this is a “ neighborhood spot” for us. Excellent food and service. Specials always are great but so are the standard menu items. God selection of locally sourced seafood and meats prepared in a more typical French style. Never had a bad meal or experience there.
