Main Street Bistro is located in the historic Old League City district right next to Helen’s Gardens on Main Street (hence the name). The menu here is a mix of local, Hispanic, coastal and Creole recipes. French cooking techniques and methods are used to produce stunning results like the famous Napa Valley burger. It’s made with rosemary mustard, Boursin cheese and peppered bacon. Another popular dish at Main Street Bistro is the shrimp and grits. The dish is covered in creamy cheese and Andouille sausage. If you come for breakfast, Main Street Bistro has an expansive menu with French toast, stuffed French toast, breakfast tacos, Texas bangers and mash and several forms of eggs benedict.

Seated right away with our reservation. The food was great, but it took over an hour to get our food which was disappointing- so be prepared and don’t make plans for afterwards unless you have flexibility with time.

Have visited often with friends for lunch. Tasty food. Like choices. Never disappointed. Good service and attention from staff. Plan to try breakfast and dinner soon. Always busy at lunch and that’s always a goid indicator.

This was the first time eating at this establishment. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Great portions. I would definitely come back and try other items on the menu.

Our Lunch Bunch group met today at Main Street Bistro. I made the reservation online and requested that we be seated at the back of the restaurant. Our request was granted, and we had a lovely experience with delicious food. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Entree was great. We had chicken Marsala over mashed potatoes. Plenty for 2. The appetizer of fried green tomatoes was disappointing for the price. The remoulade crab topping was more like crab salad on the tomato. The cornmeal crust was a bit flavorless and just fell off. Need signs for the back bar area. People kept getting lost. The house salad was just ok, honey balsalmic dressing was way too thick and didn’t pour out easily. Lots of potential with a few tweaks it could be all around great.
