Made reservations on Open Table at the last minute and fortunately was able to get one. Maile's Thai has indoor and outdoor dining options. Only outdoor option was available at the time it was decided to go there. Outdoor dining was pleasant and not troublesome with being located next to the street. Had the calamari, pad thai, yellow curry, tofu, pork jerky and they were delicious. There's a happy hour menu also. Cost was reasonable. Enjoyed the experience. Recommend this place.

The food was bland and over Peanuty. The worst part was being addressed by the hostess while waiting for a water refill and eating our meal that our reservation “is up in 4 minutes” and they expected us to leave. Why is the slow service our problem??? Never returning for an overpriced “timed” meal again!!!

Although the food and service were great, I was surprised to see a 3% kitchen charge and a 3.5% charge card fee when I received the bill. These must be recent changes because we were at Maile's Hawaii Kai just a few months ago, and these fees were not added to the bill at that time. Really disappointed with this business practice at one of my favorite Thai restaurants.

After reading the owners bio I’m sure she would not approve of the lack of attention we got to start the night. We had to go into the restaurant and ask if we could order a drink. There were no customers in the restaurant. Our waitress had a very poor attitude, aloof not interested and almost hostile . This restaurant has the potential to be a great venue with the food entries they just need people who are personable and caring.

The Yellow and Pineapple curries were delicious, as always. I tried the Thai Tea for the first time, that was good, too. I always enjoy eating at Maile's and look forward to going back. Micah is a great server and Chase is a terrific bartender.

Our waitress was excellent. I can’t remember her name. We sat outside. She was young and very pretty. She explained everything and then recommended your crepe dessert with the coconut gelato was outstanding! She’s a keeper!

Service is horribly slow and we were not once checked up on even though it was slow 430pm. They charge a 3.5% credit card fee which I find is a bit shady. Why not just raise the menu prices? Food was salty so we wanted to order a side of rice but we were never checked up on.

I have eaten at Maile's several times before and the food was better than this last visit. The drinks weren't up to par compared to prior visits, for example the Lychee Martini didn't have a lychee in the drink as with prior visits... they said they were out but it still had the flavors; well it wasn't the same. The shrimp dish we ordered tasted like Chinese takeout and was a disappointment. The curry dish we ordered was good but again not as good in the past. It was also upsetting to see the new added fees such as the 3.5% for use of a credit card and the extra fee of 2.5% for the cook staff (why not just add in the extra costs of labor into the food vs. adding an additional fee?). There is a lot of competition for Thai food and none of the restaurants charge for use of a credit card, especially when you are looking at a bill of over $100.

Just after 4 pm opening, had to personally get hot sauce after requesting it. The greeter was kind enough to bring it. The Pad Thai was not quite up to par. Difficulty in ordering iced green tea & they said no. We had to ask if they had hot green tea and they said yes. We asked if they could add ice…. Previous visits were much better.

Very nice Tai place with amazing food! My first time trying Thai food and I would definitely recommend. They accommodated for my party of 10 and the waiter remembered all of our orders (with the specifics) without even writing it down!

Service was awesome, our server was on it... this was the best Thai food ever! We tried the Green Curry and the Gaeng Saparot, we also ordered the tofu Pad Siew, the calamari, tapioca and Thai crepe with mango ice cream. YUM! Perfect night out with friends!

Good drinks. Bartender does a great job. Cold tofu had a lovely flavor. The chicken satay was a little dry (slightly over cooked) although a good size. Pad Thai and Masaman curry were good as well. Service was very good.
