   First time there, its hard to rate because it was a buffett for Mothers Day. I really wanted to experience the regular menu but it wasnt available for Mother's Day.

   This was not our first visit to Mahi Mah's and we've been here before for the Easter buffet. This time the buffet was a disappointment. The grits were cold. I understand it's hard to keep the serving trays warm. There was a lack of variety. For example there was a cook making omelets but there was no bacon, sausage or pancakes. The only meat was a carving station of ham and lamb. The lamb was good but the ham had no flavor. There was a very limited variety of desserts as well. I spent 180 dollars for 4 people and felt that I wasted my money. The women's restroom was closed and the men's room was very dirty.

   The location is wonderful. The food was just OK, not much flavor at all. Good local beers. Although our server was uninterested we did observe others interacting with other customers and assuring they had a good time.

   We do not drink alcohol so can not review anything from the bar. However, we do eat seafood and Mahi Mah's is one of our favorite places on the Boardwalk. A bit noisy for us, the food and service make up for it. Parking is tight so prefer to walk if we are close enough and weather permits or we use the valet service. It was very busy, so glad we made reservations through "open table." We were seated out near the bar and that was ok, but the cold air was blowing in from the Boardwalk door and shocked us a few times. Not much you can do about that, but we'll know better next winter, to not accept a seat out there! They allow substitutions on the menu, i.e. coconut rice for sweet potato... I just love that coconut rice and it goes well with all seafood! Looking forward to our next visit.

   Oysters were huge, fun/beachy cocktails. The crab pots were our favorite dish ordered.

    Server was inattentive but kitchen was prompt. My flounder was overcooked and dry but rest of dish was good
