The food at Mahiai Table is phenomenal. We had the hand cut pasta that is such a fantastic and delicate texture. It comes with a mouthwatering sauce that is hearty and plentiful. The furikake salmon Cobb salad is a generous portion and so delicious. Everything is perfect from the salad dressing to the salmon to the fresh, local greens. We also had the fish and chips. The fish is so delicious and the batter it’s fried in is light and tasty. Everything was amazing! We will definitely be back soon! We didn’t try any of the alcoholic beverages, but the bar is beautifully decorated and well-arranged.
Awesome service...so informative and attentive! The Avocado Mash on toast and the Kalua Benedict were outstanding 👍🏽
Enjoyed our lunch. Will be back again. Henry and Gracie were fantastic!!!
The food there is tasty however it is kind of deceiving. I ordered the Manila clam pizza and was very surprise to find the only 6 clams in the shell. I think it would have been a lot easier to eat the pizza if it came with no shell and more clams on it. The pizza was very tasty but soggy. It was best to have had it as just a plain cheese pizza. My friend had the BLT sandwich which was pretty big. She said that both the sandwich and the fries tasty.
The service was outstanding and friendly. We had a nice quiet enjoyable lunch.
Fresh and onolish!
Great place to eat in Ka Makana Alii Shopping Mall. Inside Foodland Farm as well. It will be great to have a Happy Hour menu as well.
Food is great. Healthy meals made well. We enjoy it every time. Price value is worth the meal. I recently tried the burger. Yummy!
Everything was tasty. The only thing I suggest is to change the burger bun. Because the burger itself was juicy the Hou became soggy fast and fell apart.
Overall, food was good. We had:
Charred Won Bok Salad: like a Caesar with the smoke and the Won Bok gave it an interesting texture
Brussel Sprout Salad: The healthiness of the veggies was a little overbearing but it was quickly resolved with extra dressing
Mushroom Pizza: Good but a little on the bland side
Prawn Soba Noodles: For some reason extremely salty but after pointing it out to our server, she took it to the back and they agreed something went wrong with the order. The server apologized and offered another but we declined. The manager later came out to apologize as well. A nice touch
Lilikoi Malasadas: Malasadas were more like churros but thicker, nice and flakey and the lilikoi sauce was amazing....and neither of us are sweet eaters!
Service: Gracie was amazing. Very friendly, accommodating and understanding. We were there for 3 hours, catching up after a long social distancing break and busy schedules. She told us we could take our time and kept coming back to check on us during our long lunch. Service became a little sparse after she left and we had to call for coffee and more water but we did overextend ourselves a bit understandingly.
Social distancing was observed in the set up of the restaurant as well as very clean. It was a nice experience and I would love to go back to try some other dishes.
Trying a new restaurant together. It was nice!
We were the first patrons, so the service was excellent. The food is delicious, however, a little pricey.
Came for a relaxing brunch with a friend. The workers were polite, positive, and helpful. The food was amazing and delicious! I just wish they sold the lilikoi caramel that they served with their Malasada Crullers! It was so ono, we had to take whatever we had left home.
So happy we tried this new place. They seem to be doing lots to promote health, safety and social distancing.
Our Server Carson was very nice and efficient. He took great care of us!
Dinner was good. I'm looking forward to trying their Brunch!
Went here with my wife and son for the Sunday “Brunch” menu.
Firstly we are very easy going and what didnt bother us at all my be an issue for someone else.....
My wife ordered the Nutella Babka, the outside was toasty, but inside was cold, and I mean just less than frozen cold. Like I said we pretty easy going people we didnt say anything as “maybe” that was the intended way of eating a Babka.
For entrees we had a Hawaii Meats burger, Burrata pizza, Vanilla Crusted french toast, Broiled Salted salmon, Korean Shakshuka and BLT.
So our order got a little messed up as we got 2 burgers instead of the Salmon but we decided to just cancel the salmon as we OBVIOUSLY ordered way too much food!!LOL!!
Soooo... the french toast wasnt really anything special. Tasted like your everyday french toast
Burger was good. Juicy. The marmalade really made the burger stand out!!
We were a little curious because our pizza came with arugula which wasnt an ingredient listed on the description but was listed as an ingredient for another pizza? But in any event the pizza was Really Good!
BLT was good. Bacon was really good!
French fries for the sandwiches were OUTSTANDING!!
The best dish BY FAR was the Shakshuka!!! VERY flavorful!! The one and ONLY thing I would recommend is to NOT use kalua pig!! Maybe some other form of pork?
OVERALL Very pleased and will definitely be returning!!
Really feel bad for the wait staff as my son and I drink A LOT of water! And because of the new rules they had to bring us a NEW glass EVERY time!!
We dined at 5pm on a Saturday; at that time of the day the restaurant was pretty empty, which was fine with us in the age of COVID-19. We ordered a couple of gin and tonics, Botanist for my friend and Hendricks for me ... ah, cool and refreshing after the heat of Kapolei. We had the Beef Lu'au, Shaved Brussels Sprouts and the Burrata pizza family style. The Beef Lu'au is outstanding, not at all what I expected but it was so tasty ... the perfect consistency and umami. The Shaved Brussels Sprouts was excellent too ... my personal favorite were the Mari's gardens pea shoots ... wherever they come from, I want more! The Burrata was delicious ... the lehua honey added just the right touch of sweetness to what could have been a salty pizza. We ended our meal with the malassada crullers with lilikoi caramel sauce ... tasty morsels of sweetness to finish a fine meal.
Went for dinner the other night, this is my second time going. The 4 of us had a great meal. It awesome to order local beers too! We shared a pizza and poke for apps. For dinner we got 2 orders of braised shot ribs, the mussels app, and the falafel burger. It was so delicious we got dessert too. We had the ube pie, crullers, and chocolate cake. Everyone enjoyed the food.
The food tasted great and prices were reasonable. My husband and I were happy to have made a reservation online because there was a line at the door. Staff was friendly and looked local. Overall, great experience and would eat here again.
Good food, kids menu, drinks were on point. Look forward to dining again
You can tell that the ingredients used in each dish were farm fresh. We got the Burrata Pizza as a starter, which was delicious. The pizza bread was perfectly chewy and crisp. Combined with the light honey sweetness and gooey burrata cheese, it was like biting into a cloud. Our entrees were the half chicken and the braised beef. They were beautifully plated, but tasted just ok... maybe slightly on the blander side, if anything.
Healthy healthy healthy!
Ono Ono Ono!❤️👍
Another great dining experience. Our waiter, Carson, was terrific. Items he suggested were delicious. Food delicious, fresh, quick service & customer service excellent. Next going to try their brunch.
What a great new place to dine! The food was excellent and so fresh. I love the organic farm to table menu. Chef Jonathan came to our table and explained about all the local farms that supply them. He was such a great edition to the whole dining experience. Don't forget to try the desserts, they are amazing too!
Pleasantly surprised! Seated immediately with all social distance policies in place. Our starter was the soy glazed mango habanero wings, pretty sweet with not much kick from the habanero, the spiral green onion added a nice flavor, very good size portion I must say!
Entrées ordered was the braised short ribs served over polenta, Hamakua farms Ali’i mushroom Pizza, vine-ripened Kamuela tomato pizza, And I ordered the house made falafel burger w/ slaw and damn that was the best falafel I’ve had in a while, I will definitely order that again.
My mom ordered the Malasada Crullers to go for dessert, which is topped with sweet Lilikoi caramel and she said they were to die for and she’s the baker of the family, so I trust her with that review.
Enjoyed our time at Mahi’ai Table will definitely return for the falafel burger and tryout another delicious dessert!
Btw Carson our server was so pleasant and very attentive to our needs! Thank you Carson!🌺
So stoked we have some place like this on the west side. Every single thing about this restaurant from the food to the ambiance is wonderful. Highly recommend for everyone to try!
For what it’s worth... COVID minimize our experience. Food was good with the Manila clams being the highlight!
Wanted to try the new dining room in Foodland farms. They have done a great job preparing for covid prevention. We felt very safe. The cocktails are spectacular. I love a round ice cube! The salumi and sausage with five cheese blend was fantastic...gooey cheese-salty meat- and a crisp crust. My husband had the gnocchi bowl which was a deconstructed pasta dish. Everything was separate and the not at sauce was bland. However I had the other pasta bowl- handmade pasta with a pork ragu-different but tasty. We will be back for the pizza and drinks! Oh and even some groceries
My manilla clam pizza could've used more clams, it was one clamshell per slice of pizza. Food took some time to come out, restaurant recently opened. There wasn't any bread to chew on while we waited and I was getting hungrier with each passing minute. Restaurant also did not allow any purchases from the actual Foodland supermarket to be eaten, son didn't really want to eat anything that was on the menu, so he waited until we were done to get his poke bowl to take home.
Very good, table was wobbly which was annoying.
Everything was amazing...I would definitely go back! The one suggestion I have is please share with the servers that when they go on break and another server covers their table to please “let the customers know that they are going on break and someone else will be taking over the service to their tables”..Very Important!!! It was a bit confusing and when that happen I experience went downhill!
Menu not as appealing as the menu at the Foodland Farms Pearl Highlands (pre COVID). Would have liked to see more things to share, but probably not possible at this time. Will return!
Ate here twice- brunch and dinner. Both times were great. Food is made well and healthy. Love the mix of different types. So there is something for all types of appetites. Plan on returning again and again. Want to try the rest of the menu.
We has a party of 5 but they would only seat 4...the restaurant was empty they could have been more accommodating, my daughter was in a wheelchair.
Awesome food and great service. Nice location and ambience.
Food was served hot and fresh. Very tasty. Drinks were good as well. The food portions were as expected- sized right for the type of food/experience. All in our party enjoyed themselves.
One gripe was when booking the reservation. The original mahi’ai table reservation had it at the other Foodland store in Kapolei, so I cancelled it and booked at kamakana Alii. Since it was on open table, I assumed it was for the restaurant. When I got there, it was a reservation to shop the grocery store. Luckily I was able to book a convenient table online when I got there, but I would have been upset if I weren’t able to get a table that night. I also wasn’t the only one with that issue, as another patron overheard me and stated they experienced the same thing.
Also- there were markers on the floor which indicated where to stand for entry and for social distancing, which my party followed. A store employee came up and redirected me to the opposite area, and stated we were blocking the pathway for shoppers. Right after I moved, other people went and stood where I was, since the markers indicate that’s where to stand. They knew I was there prior, so I made sure I entered before them. Foodland should reassess their waiting line setup if they want to make changes to it.
The entire experience was great! Tried a variety of things...chicken wings, pizza, braised beef- all excellent! The desserts were delicious too. We’ll definitely be back.
Welcome to Mahi’ai Table located in the newly opened Foodland Farms at Ka Makana Ali’i. This is the first dine in restaurant venture from Foodland. Reservations were made via Open Table.
Service: Pretty good! Friendly staff, attentive. Our drinks took some time to make, but our server was quick to apologize for the wait. Our food arrived quickly and they made effort to check on us a few minutes after the serving food.
Drinks: Pineapple Calamansi Sour was not bad, I like the attempt of using local flavors - could use a little more pineapple to balance the tart calamnsi. The Aloe Cooler, is a no for me. There was an interesting almost unpalatable bitterness in the after taste.
Food: Shaved Brussels missed the mark, I think the egg should be poached or sunny side up to add a little more fattiness to the the overall dish. The mushroom pizza was wonderfully cheesy and the crust had a nice crispiness. Local Grilled fish was Mahi Mahi, nicely cooked paired with a delightful succotash. Braised ribs, soft and well flavored. The polenta was cooked perfectly to compliment the beef flavors.
Dessert time! Malasada Crullers were crispy, sugary, and satisfying. My only downside was the slight taste of fry oil. Ube Pie, overwhelming ube - as expected. The taro chips might have been better in smaller pieces on top rather than sticking out. The Choclate Cale was pretty standard. It was surprising that it wasn’t as heavy or fudgy as it looks.
I think they’ll do well. I look forward to seeing new creations that fold in local flavors. It’s a casual atmosphere, warm and feels like going over to a friends house.

We all had the burger which was good but the French fries were over cooked and probably sat on the plates while the burgers were being cooked.
We all wanted a juice drink but they were out and they were in the process of making more.
We were escorted right away to the restaurant. At the entry our temperature was checked and have us a squirt to sanitize. This was the beginning of a beautiful experience. The waiter Carson was very attentive, patient and answered all my questions with the menu. The meals and drinks ( alcohol) came out a little slow but it was fine giving the newbie situation of the restaurant. The Manila clams pizza was awesome and the Cinnamon Morning Bun was delicious. I am anxiously waiting till we can go back and try different dishes. So Ono!!
