Magleby's - St. George
Come in and see us at our St. George, Utah location.
wonderful service & wonderful food
Very good food and service they were offering a buffet and it was very good.
If you don’t know what good food is - or just don’t know any better, you wouldn’t mind the food. We are not from here and went off the good reviews, however we do know what good food is and it was a pretty painful experience. Yikes! Service was good, it’s not their fault the food was really bad.
Greetings, we are sorry to hear that our food was unsatisfactory. Please give us a call and we would like to take care of you and hear more about this experience. We appreciate your feedback, have a wonderful day.
A delightfully classy place to enjoy a pleasant business lunch with colleagues or clients.
Thank you for taking the time in providing your wonderful experience! We appreciate your business and hope to see you again soon.
We love this hidden gem! Great, freshly prepared food.
Perfect for our work party. Food was delicious especially since it was a nice restaurant where the portion sizesare typically tiny.
A party of four of us dined at Magleby's. It was nice to be greeted warmly. The buffet meal was outstanding and beautifully presented with a tremendous variety of delicious choices. At the end of the meal, each of us chose a different dessert, and we each exclaimed how delicious our choice was. Magleby's is a first-class, high-end place to have a good, pleasant meal at a reasonable price. You leave with anticipation of coming back the very next chance you get. For us, that will be soon.
It was our first time to Magleby’s and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was top-notch, super friendly! We really enjoyed our time here, and glad we made this our dinner stop in St. George!
Good service (Myki), poor ambiance (very loud and very bright), a little on the expensive side for the quality, weird artichoke puree, good bread rolls, weak side salads, limited availability for some items (charcuterie and prime rib), good ribeye cuts, terrible chicken fried steak (think IHOP), great creme brulee! Overall 2.5/5
The dining experience was great but I am a little bummed that OpenTable would not let me have any points for making my reservation through open table why should I use OpenTable if you’re not gonna give me points
It was good, not great. We will go back. A friend had Country Fried Steak. It was disappointing that it did not have the traditional white country gravy. My penne pasta was a little overcooked. It seemed a little overpriced for the quality of food. It was not bad though.
The meal was served, lukewarm. It’s pricey for the area. Dessert was the best.
In reading other reviews we had the sense that this restaurant is better than one might think at first glance - and that was certainly true for us. While it resembles a simple restaurant in a chain hotel, the food is good and good value. We would eat here again.
I have business meetings quarterly in St. George, I will be returning.
Our server Sandy was the best. She took great care of our group and had such a fun personality that everyone agreed she was worth coming back for. The fish fry special was large enough to feed several people and was delicious. Great experience for my out of town guests
Great server Selina!
Our visit to Magleby's was great! We had two families there with multiple kids and they took such great care of us, and we all had a great time. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! We look forward to visiting again!
This restaurant exceeded our expectations, very good food, outstanding service. We will be coming back for sure!
It was our anniversary. And the food was very good. And the service was friendly helpful and courteous.
Our food was absolutely fantastic. Every bite delicious. And lots of gluten-free options. We were very impressed and we will definitely be back.
Really great food in a comfy setting! Awesome service by Selena! Will go back soon!
We discovered Magelby's earlier this year, and when talking about it with a friend, he suggested we try the Friday buffet. It was amazing! At first, I was disappointed that there were no rolls on the buffet. (I dream about those rolls!) But, not to worry, our waitress brought them to our table and added a second basket after we'd finished the first. My husband loves the prime rib. He's positive it's the best in the state. The salads were delicious, the seafood was incredible, and, oh my goodness- that lemon cake! I wanted to try every dessert, but they are so rich and filling, I had to make myself stop with two. It's a little pricey, but this is no average buffet. I felt like we got what we paid for.
We were seated in a room off the main area and it had no ambiance. The prime rib was excellent at the buffet but the rest was soso. The crab legs shell was soft and hard to crack open....like it had been frozen and thawed twice. Ugh!
Food is delicious!! Only complaint is that I ordered my filet mignon medium rare and it was closer to medium well.
There appeared to be a shortage of wait staff and an abundance of glass polishers. We weren’t given a wine list with menus and didn’t see a waiter fo 15 minutes. He did bring a wine list and took our order. 10 minutes later the wine arrived and in another 10 our salads came. Within 5 minutes our main course was served, well before we had finished our salads. The salad was excellent as was the bread which they replenished. I’ll return and hope for a better experience.
reservation made 3 days in advance. food was very good as was the service. the problem was being seated in the annex which was an echo chamber and the music so loud you could not here any table conservation. It ruined the whole evening
Never disappointed with the food
I expected the price to be a bit higher than other places in town, as it's a nicer restaurant, but they were quite higher than I expected. The food tasted great, maybe a bit to much seasoning on their grilled vegetables though. The steak medallions were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing!! For the cost of the spinach dip, a little chips and bread on the plate would have been good, then we would have been able to finish the dip instead of only half of it.
We were celebrating a huge accomplishment of our daughters and so the atmosphere and service was just perfect for what I was wanting. It was quiet and absolutely delightful.
When needing somewhere more upscale to celebrate I would definitely go back to this restaurant again!!
The restaurant was clean and busy, our server was attentive but not overly so, very pleasant. The food was very good and plentiful. The dessert was very tasty as well. The food was so good that ours leftovers the next day was just as good the second time around. We will be back again.
Great little place just off I-15 I had the prime rib that was cooked to perfection my wife had the filet also cooked great and we finished with buttermilk pie excellent this is a must try in St. George.
We haven't been here in 2 years. But we decided to come here for our anniversary. Our salads came out before our appetizer. Both of which were good. Our main course came out and looked good. But my turkey sandwich was super dry and lacked flavor. My husband's pasta was also bland and the noodles were over cooked. It took our server 20 minutes to bring our dessert and another 15 minutes to bring our bill. Also, our water glasses were empty more than half the time we were here. Our server kept saying he would be right back with water and kept walking past us with out water. We were at our table for a total of an hour and a half. We saw people be seated after us, get their food and leave before us. And it wasn't even busy so I don't understand why our food took so long to come out or why our water couldn't have been kept full. After this experience, we will not be coming back!
We had a reservation, but on our way 2 friends called and asked to join us. When we got there I asked the gentleman at the host stand if we could fit them in. He said no. I explained that we were more than willing to wait up front for a larger table, he said no. (Keep in mind this is a Monday evening, it is not busy). We decided as a group to just add some chairs and squeeze in. We were still comfortable, and he came over to the table and stated that we couldn’t do that, it was a fire hazard. Someone should educate this man, that the fire Marshal does not care how many people are sitting around a table, they only care about the entire capacity of the restaurant. We ended up having to split the group, four of us sat at a different table. The staff basically ruined our evening, and were very unfriendly.
The evening was very pleasant. The service was prompt and timely, and the food was presented well and very tasty.
We always love Magleby's. Food is delicious the service is always friendly. We have gone in with small groups 2 or 4 or lrg groups 6 to 15. We have always has has an excellent experience!!
It was wonderful service and amazing food!
Food is better in other places. Not all servers are nice. I guess you have to be a guest at the hotel to be treated like your a paying customer. I will not be returning. This is my second try at this place and they did not make a good First or second impression.
Disappointed in the food. Expected more for the price. The Cabernet wine from Chile was very good. Service was good.
Good dinner. We always enjoy Magleby's. Menu is diverse. Prices are fair. Service is usually excellent.
I highly recommend Magleby’s for great food and service.
