                                                                                We had a lunch meeting to discuss some potential future business. Due to the noon arrival the atmosphere was quiet overall which made conversation easy. Our super waiter, Davien, was quite friendly and attentive, but still enabled us to discuss business without interfering. The only this that was a bit disappointing was that the patio was not open even though it was in the mid-60s.

                                                                                The wait staff graciously accommodated a late change in reservation with our party size and helped bring together an unforgettable evening. The 86th St. location has always been one of my favorites and last night's dining experience was no exception! Our server Katie took great care of us and we really appreciated her warmth and hospitality.

                                                                                While the service was excellent we were disappointed the two meal special has been discontinued and the shrimp fra diavolo had no detectable spice/heat in the dish. My favorite, spaghetti and meat sauce, has also apparently been discontinued.

                                                                                What happened to Maggianos?? The very quality that made it feel like a home cooked Italian food has gone by the wayside. The menu a fraction of what it used to be. Even the Maggiano salad has been desecrated with bacon and avocado! The grand Chicken Parmesan looked like a manufactured piece of meat that came out of a box. I don’t care about extra take home food, the very essence of the experience has changed and not in a good way!

                                                                                $21 for a house wine is insane. I’ve eaten in many high end establishments and never paid that much for a house wine. We won’t be back because of the wine prices.
