MAGARI’s menu offers fresh-made pasta dishes with Japanese toppings, fresh seafood and crudo bar, and charcoal and wood-fired mains from the grill, including hand-selected A5 Wagyu beef. Cass Calder Smith designed the 183-seat restaurant in Hollywood’s iconic Columbia Square. A large and beautifully lit lounge will offer an extensive selection of craft cocktails as well as a robust Italian wine program. A 49 seat outdoor patio, serenely located inside the Columbia Square courtyard, presents ideal outdoor dining options including a cozy fireplace lounge.

The staff and the room were lovely. The restaurant was almost empty. My fried calamari was cold and my seafood pasta was way overcooked. Dry. And the cannoli was a joke! It was the size of my pinky. The menu is lacking in good vegan and vegetarian options. I will not go back unless/until there is a new chef. It's too bad as there are few fine dining options in this area.

This place was FANTASTIC. Seriously, we were blown away by how good everything was. It was only moderately full---which was surprising for a Saturday night----but i have no idea why is was not packed. Our appetizers were great---really fresh tuna and a salad. Our main courses---a whole cooked fish and a seafood pasta---were delicious. Even the wine by the glass was superb. Then there was a delicious chocolate torte for dessert, and really deep rich coffee. To boot, our server was really attentive and helpful. From start to finish, a great meal. A hidden gem for sure. I almost hate to write such a favorable review because it will become harder to get a reservation. :)

Wonderful new restaurant in LA. Great food, great service, well-thought out menu choices, full bar. The chef is using a combined Italian/Japanese fusion, which works remarkably well.

Magari is a delightful seafood forward blend of coastal Italian & Japanese flavors that please both palates. Their pastas & seafood, especially crudos, are super fresh and resonate the quality and integrity of preparation. Service was knowledgeable, thoughtful, & well timed.

Not extraordinary food for the price. Chicken overcooked, Caesar salad a bit sour. Very nice server.
