We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner at this restaurant. We have been recommended this place on several occasions and are so happy we decided to come for Thanksgiving. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
Do not miss this gem when you’re in Greenville. Lovely atmosphere, quiet background music, trained employees and the FOOD! The chef/owner has always been on-site and is highly visible through the kitchen window. Go!
Excellent food and service. The She crab soup and trout almandine were perfection.
We cannot say enough good things about Maestro’s. We came here to celebrate my sister’s move to Greenville after finishing the drive that day. Everyone, from the hostess who offered champagne because we had to wait a few minutes for our table, to the manager who noticed we needed water, to our waiter Melvin who could not have been nicer, to the food which was excellent, to the live music that provided a nice touch to the evening was amazing! We will definitely be back.
Excellent food, outstanding service without being rushed, and the back room was comfortable and quiet allowing for pleasant conversation. The tables were spaced far enough apart in compliance with mitigation for Covid 19.
The she crab soup was a very flavorful bisque. The oyster Rockefeller were a little chewy. The sous chef had a very heavy hand with the salt on my trout and broccolini. Fortunately the second piece was skin up and when I flipped it over the unsalted meat was quite flavorful. I think chefs that have to salt their creations when they are plated are just plain lazy. Our clams and linguini was very delightful.
So unless you like salted cod, I would stay away from the fish.
Valentino and his staff are simply amazing. The entire experience is exceptional
and then you have the exquisite meal.
The food was delicious. We started with the empanadas and oysters rockefeller and went on to the duck and pasta main courses. Wonderful dinners and great service. We will absolutely be back again!
Although I'd heard much about Maestro's and both my husband and I were very much looking forward to dining there, we were pretty disappointed. On a good note, we asked the hostess if our server would mind wearing a mask, no problem there...although we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant wearing one. As was our server the ONLY one wearing a mask. No safety procedures as far as we could see.
Our server was personable, (masked too) and we placed our orders for two salads, one trout and one pork chop. We ordered cocktails which took very long to receive and while enjoying those, our server told us they were out of pork chops. This was at 7:00!! How can you be out of an entree at that time? Very strange... Our salads arrived and both were pretty good. My husband had changed his order to the trout and it was excellent as well. As far as the noise level...it is very loud, the ambiance was not what I expected from the photos it appears much more classy, which it really is not. Though the food was good, we would not spend this much money again on this restaurant, there are much better choices in town.
We always have a great experience at Maestros from food to service !
We were a little late being seated but in the end the restaurant was great! Good salads, apps, dinner, and dessert!
This is by far the best restaurant in Greenville. The food and service is outstanding! Our favorite place. They treat you like family!
Very nice experience. Upscale restaurant. Service was lovely and the food was great too. We really enjoyed the live music as well.
Maestro's and their wonderful staff always provides a fantastic dining experience.
The food is consistently excellent and service is top notch in Greenville!
Jamal was awesome!! The food, carafes, service, and atmosphere were all top notch!
Maestro's exceeded our expectations and is easily one of the best restaurants in Greenville, if not the best. The food and wine were outstanding and unlike any meal we've had downtown in many years. Melvin was a spectacular server, and Valentino also made sure our experience was excellent. We would only suggest they heat lamps or clean blankets on the patio for outdoor diners. Thank you, Maestro's. We look forward to our next dining experience with you!
Food and service is excellent!
The service was excellent. Started with a complimentary glass of champagne. We were celebrating a birthday. We both had salmon special and it was wonderful. The best salmon we have ever had. So moist, tender and flavorful. We had an amazing experience. We will go back.
Great dinner! Nice staff, cocktails were tasty! Enjoyed our experience!
Terrific location right on Main St. - excellent food, service, and ambiance. A couple of TV's in the bar so we could glance over at football games (Saturday night). Local singer (Louie Sagedy) played some great background music.
Special this night was seabass - best I've had in the upstate! Others had chicken, scallops, soup / salad... all very pleased.
Check it out.
This place is just amazing. The food and service are both excellent. Would highly recommend.
We celebrated my mom’s birthday and as always Chef Sammy and his staff were fantastic. Food was delicious and presented beautifully.
Service and food were excellent! Melvin, our waiter, was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The entertainment was very good as well. Sea Bass prepared perfectly and empanadas were very tasty. Cappuccino cake was a nice ending to a wonderful meal. As new residents of downtown Greenville we will become regulars.
First time diner at Maestro's. My wife had eaten lunch there and told me how much liked it. She was right.
Service was outstanding, waiter knew the menu front and back, and had superior knowledge of wines. Impressive.
I had the Halibut special, my wife NC Trout. Both were exceptional. Presentation was perfect.
As a bonus, they had live music. Nice guitar, good songs, mellow.
We'll be eating there often!
They will make your occasion very special! We celebrated our 32nd anniversary at Maestro's Bistro and they accommodated our every request.
Our server, Sophia was friendly, attentive and expeditious- getting us out in time for our show without making us feel rushed. Valentino, the manager, greeted us to wish us a happy anniversary and welcome us to the restaraunt.
The food was superb- we had the ceasar salad, escargot & filet ( cooked perfectly). Large portions and delicious! The creme brulee for dessert was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. We gave ambiance 4 stars only because we were seated, by ourselves, in a room set up for a large party that was coming in later- our fault as we asked for a romantic table- it was nice and private but we would have preferred being in the main room as they had live music- 5 start ambiance!
Cocktails were great and they have very reasonable wines- one menu with 1/2 price bottles!
It was one of the most enjoyable meals we've had it recently. The staff is great a us the food- highly recommend Maestro Bistro...esp if you want to make that special occasion EXTRA special !!
This was a surprise find on a last-minute res. Food & service are outstanding. Filet mignon was 8+ ounces and perfectly prepared med-well. Spouse had the ratatouille which she rated as good, not great. Wine selection BTG was very good. Ambience is pretty quiet as the tables are nicely spread out across the dining room. Patrick did an outstanding job of being our server, especially considering he is also the bartender. When he was busy there, the GM made sure we had everything we needed. This one gets to the top 2 or 3 restaurants in GVL for us...and we've been to over 25 in the few months of residence here. Really great and we shall return.
We had a wonderful meal on the trio appetizer for four. Bacon steaks were excellent. Calamari also. The dinner special was delectable fish served over black truffle risotto with green beans. Wine list was extensive with a good list of half price specials. We will return.
Wonderful experience in every respect. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was very good. Service also good, but feels like waitstaff not quite comfortable in their roles at the restaurant. Everyone working really hard, though. Will definitely come back!!
Interesting menu, consistently the best (east coast) oysters, attentive service. For rainy nights, the attached parking garage is a plus.
The perfect date night spot! The service was exceptional, and they went above and beyond for our birthday/engagement celebration. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were phenomenal! We can not wait to go back.
We celebrated my birthday with lunch at Maestro. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful experience. The hostess was very nice. Our waiter, Ryan, was on point. The food was absolutely delicious. We’ve placed this on our list of favorites for eating downtown Greenville.
Enjoyed the outdoor venue. Food and service was exceptional 👌
The dinner was delicious and our server was most attentive!. It was my daughters birthday so he brought us a piece of their delicious chocolate/peanut butter cake and two glasses of champagne! great experience
Great date restaurant! Our waitress and hostess were so personable. We will be back!
nice date night restaurant. second time we have come here and we really like it
We had a pretty theater dinner with 2 couples
Service and food was great. Servers were cognizant of our time. Food was both tasty and elegantly prepared
The atmosphere was very nice. The food was OK. Presentation was really nice. But the cost for the food seemed a little high for the content. But overall it was a good experience.
I was concerned about going to Maestro’s after seeing a 1 star review. Glad we took a chance! Our experience was superb across the board. Our waiter was engaging and attentive. We were there during Fall for Greenville and they were well staffed and the staff seemed happy to be there. Food was delicious, everyone was friendly, great live music inside - not too loud and such good music, everything was to our liking.
We'd read that Maestro's is a hidden gem. That statement proved to be true. Our experience was phenomenal from start to finish. The wait staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Our food was perfectly cooked and presented. We decided that the bartender must have an advanced degree in mixology because his drinks were wonderfully complex. We will return. Absolutely. And we will also thank the person who told us about this "hidden gem."
