Madrona did an excellent job serving everyone in this crazy time. Everything felt safe and well organized! And the wine was delicious!

As wine club members, we always enjoy visiting Madrona. The wines are excellent, and the entire staff is very friendly and helpful. Paul, Maggie and their staff treat everyone like family and are always willing to answer questions or to just chat.

With COVID restrictions, their tastings have moved outside, but the hospitality is excellent as always.

Madrona is a favorite of ours. The servers are so nice and the wine maker takes time to visit with all of his guests.

we really enjoyed our time with Madrona Vineyards, there were very friendly and helpful and kind. We surely well return next year.

Madrona is fabulous. The winemaker Paul, greeted us and was so friendly. We had a fabulous tasting in the wooded area outside. Beautiful setting and in addition to our wonderful server, Paul came over to tell us more about the wine. Everything was perfect, very clean, socially distant and very relaxing. I highly recommend the Madrona wine club too!

This was the cutest little winery, we sat outside next to the vines that made the Riesling we were drinking, staff was awesome and we even met the owner, and his dog sprocket! We took a couple bottles home.

Madroña Vineyards has done exceptionally during the Covid crisis. The grounds are a beautiful way to do wine tasting! The staff are attentive and informative of the wines being served. If you are fortunate Paul is available to talk wine and foothills wines! A great experience and pleasant break from the ordinary.

Great experience and ambiance. Coming from the city it was very peaceful. Tasty wine and a friendly a dog to greeted us, what more can you want!

We had a flight of wine here and enjoyed the outdoor setting and the wine was excellent and the service was great! We also enjoyed the visit with the dog that is at the winery and he comes and greets you! We bought a case of wine that we really liked and it was a very good deal. It is one of our favorite wineries in Apple Hill!

What's not to love‽ The owners/staff are full of personality. They have done a great job of providing an enjoyable experience while invoking safety precautions. Love tasting Madrona under the Madrones;) Paul is very personable & fun to chat up.
Oh, on a side note, the wine is terrific, lol!!

We enjoyed the wine flights. The two of us each got two, with three glasses each, so we were able to taste twelve wines in one sitting. Delightful!

There was no food, so don't use my rating on that. The wine tasting was so fun, and relaxing at our own private picnic table under the redwoods. We each ordered different flights, so we had the chance to try all their wines. Kelly was really helpful and friendly. It was pretty busy, so we had plenty of time to sip and chat. Overall, so much fun!

Wine tasting during social distancing is very different. The wines were very good and tasing outside under the trees was great. The service was a little slow but I am sure the experience is hard on the tasting rooms as well. Placing new paper o. The tables after every customer as well as seating and serving outside could be time consuming! Great experience overall.

A highlight of our annual vacation to Tahoe and day in the wine country! Very relaxing time tasting wine under the trees. The wines are excellent examples of the region’s Rhône and Bordeaux varietals. The owner/winemaker learned vineyard farming and his craft from childhood, and from extended travels to other countries. Will return every year.

We didn’t done, we did a wine tasting. It was superb. Great wines and very relaxing atmosphere!

Tasting wine under the Pines and the Madrone trees was so relaxing.. Madrona staff are very respectful and kind. Madrona wines are fabulous. We had a lovely time spend in the Apple Hill area.

Great setting, wonderful knowledge. Sprocket the family dog very friendly. Great COVID-19 spacing of tables.

The cheese and crackers were so good we stopped in Placerville at the cheese shop. Wonderful time.

The table's were comfy. Everything was outside under the trees so very nice. We brought our own food and had two flights of wonderful wine. Had a very nice time.

Had a wonderful experience, tasted great wine and communed with the mother Madrone. Thanks to Maggie & Paul for providing a wonderful club experience.

People were extremely friendly and service was great! The wine tasting was amazing but I think since we bought quite a bit a wine, the entire wine tasting fee should have been waived. Cheese plate was really tastey but pricey for the amount we received.

All in all, we had a great time and bought 12 bottles of wine.. Will come back :)

Always one of our favorite places, we have been members for a while now and love this place! The open tables set up her is different but kind of a nice change!!

We had a wonderful time at Madrona. We are club members there and have enjoyed the wines for many, many years. This was the first time wine tasting at any winery since the COVID-19 outbreak. We are already looking at our schedules to return to Madrona Winery.

Wine is outstanding. Physical distance in place. Hand sanitizer available at entrance. Table cleaned between customers. We had a great experience.

Our late morning experience at Madrona Vineyards was perfect! Maggie and Paul did a fabulous job of planning how to accommodate their guests during this unusual COVID time. It was a special treat for us to be in the beautiful surroundings of the vineyards and be away from home, if only for a short time. The wines and special box of cheese, fruit, etc. were delicious!

This was wine tasting for Wine Club Appreciation. We had the charcuterie plate from the Grazing Grouse. Excellent choice of cheeses! The wines were, as usual, were excellent. The staff were attentive and informative about the wine selection.

New model for wine tasting... picnic tables out in the grove of trees. Very pleasant. Well orchestrated wine tasting flights. Loved the simple cheese and crackers to go with the tasting. Winemaker making the rounds and talking with the customers. Good wine too, I think I may have bought too much wine ;-)

I will be definitely be back.

It was a great winetasting experience, under the trees in front of the winery. The wines were excellent as was the service. The service from everyone involved was very personable and professional. Paul and Maggie provided great information about the wines, suggested food pairings, and some information on the status of the current grape crop. A very enjoyable, low key, experience.

We always have a great time at Madrona!! Everyone is so friendly and the place is beautiful!!
