Stepping into Madam’s Modern Kitchen + Bar is like taking a walk back through time. Storyville was an incubator of innovation in food, drink, music and entertainment during the late Victorian era of New Orleans. Madam wants to help revive that joie de vie in her new (old) neighborhood.
The menu found at Madam’s is inspired by the evolution of the New Orleans culinary scene in the last century, by integrating classic creole cuisine with the recently arrived flavors of Southeast Asia, Italy, and Latin America. A broad palette of flavors and techniques will converge to offer guests a one-of-a-kind experience.

Some of the worst I have ever experienced and we were the only party there. Food decent a most, not worth the price.

It is extremely close to the Saenger, so convenient for lunch before a matinee. I didn’t realize when I booked that this is a hotel restaurant. It was fine but not a standout.

I made a dinner reservation for 8:45 on the site, showed up at 8:25 to see if we could get in early, dinner service had ended 35 minutes early. Went to Pierre Maspero’s and had one of the best meals ever.

Appeared to be a task for them to seat us. Completely empty restaurant. And they wouldn’t offer drinks . Great reviews but not sure how. These 3 ladies at the front were miserable

The hostess on Sunday morning and our server, Keymiah, were both very nice and professional. We also enjoyed the food and thought it was very reasonably priced.

Food was okay, the place was completely empty at 11am on Sunday. No live music as advertised. And we were the only people there. There are better places to eat for a better value!

Brunch. Drinks were tasty and strong. Avocado toast was just a guacamole spread, nothing fancy. Croque madame was missing sauce but they brought more and it was ok. Service was great, food so so.
