   Had a great time at Machete from my Birthday with a group of friends, really good cocktails and genuine Mexican food that had great flavors. Definitely going back.

   Everything tasted like it had come out of a tin. Pretty bad. The nachos were the only decent thing. I would suggest best to go there just for a cocktail (margaritas were great) and nachos, rather than anything else on the menu.

   The food was mediocre, the restaurant was pretty empty and the toilets were filthy. The cocktails were nice though

   Great food and cocktails in a lovely little rustic set up. The margaritas were a bit special and the Prawn Burrito was perfection .. and massive! Staff were lovely but the place seemed a little short-staffed so service and payment took a little while. None of that was down to the fault of the staff.

   Lovely authentic Mexican cuisine! Had a really lovely prawn burrito here, good gluten free options and a lovely cocktail menu! Definitely will be visiting again!

   I have always really enjoyed Machete. The staff are lovely and accommodating and the food is tasty and feels much fresher than normal Mexican fare in the UK. I really enjoyed the prawn burrito and the quesadillas over several margaritas with my friends on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

   Excellent experience. The service was very warm and friendly (plus efficient!), the cocktails were delicious and the food was good. Good vegetarian options, despite the fact that cerviche is a key menu item. Enjoyed the rich mushroom burritos. Would also recommend the salads. Really enjoyed trying some new "South American root vegetables", which I'd never even heard of!. And don't forget to check out the cool lampshades!

   We have friends that love this restaurant so were looking forward to trying machete out but the food was terrible. I ordered tacos - dried bits of pork with a little salad thrown on top. No sauce or flavour. They weren't edible. My Other half had a mushroom burrito and wasn't keen on his either. We ordered 2 'large' guacamoles which were absolutely tiny at £7 each! One of the group had to send his back as rice was burnt. Out of 8 of us, 3 enjoyed their meal. Maybe it was an off day as they all raved about how good it was when they had visited just a few months ago. A shame!!

   A bit disappointing...I booked this place as it had good reviews and wanted a fun yet romantic evening with my partner. We were given a bad table but the food was ok. The set menu for the evening was overpriced, we ended up spending over £70 for 2.

    This really was excellent, I picked it for a date at random based on points scored within a location and it came up trumps. Portions are very big, food is very tasty and drinks were excellent. Cost was about 50 quid for two of us with a couple of cocktails and we were stuffed.
