Just amazing all around. Chef Eric is truly making waves in the Filipino food movement.

Great atmosphere but the food was overpriced and nothing special. Food emphasized to be shareable when there was hardly any food with what we ordered.

Hip interior space, good vibes, service was a little inattentive for a slow night, menu was different but similar to what was posted online.

Ma’am Sir deserves all the hype it gets. I expected the great food but was surprised by how inventive the delicious cocktails were. We will go back.

We loved the look, service and the energy, but not all was delicious. The garlic rice, pork slides, chicken bowl were outstanding. The steak seasoning was good but the meat was tough, at $45 very disappointing. The uni was tiny and so where the egg rolls. We will give it another go.

My 17 year old daughter and I tried this new restaurant as we were in La for The Weeknd and we were both so pleased! The cocktails looked amazing, the vibe was super cool and the food was interesting and unique. Something for everyone! We loved the hangover rice and u don’t have to be hungover!! So good

Good choices will be:
Pandesal with the 3 types of butter - authentic taste elevated with the 3 types of butter to choose from. Get all three so you can taste the difference. It’s all good.
Broccoli - great appetizer
Garlic fries- love the garlic aioli with the dried fish on top
Ginger/calamansi drink - refreshing
Halo halo - it’s just yummy
Spicy chicken wings - love how spicy it is
Bibingka- yummy

Not so good:
Chicken adobo - lacks the authentic flavor of the Filipino adobo.
Happy birthday chicken - it’s good if you put on the gravy
BBQ Bangus - too sweet
Eggplant with miso- too sweet
Pancit guisado -sour overpowers the taste

My wife had been wanting to go here for a while now. So we decided to make a visit for our anniversary of our engagement. First off, the decor and space is quaint and open for a nice social feel. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there for brunch, so their menu was full of familiar and new sounding dishes that we were excited to try. We ended up getting the sisig with egg, pancake with Ube glaze and a side longunesa. Everything was delicious. The sisig was rich and flavorful, and went perfectly with the accompanying garlic rice. The pancake with Ube glaze was amazing. Not overly sweet and familiar Ube flavor, and the texture was light and fluffy. We wanted another protein, so the longunesa did not disappoint. House made longunesa was sweet, rich and reminded me of home.

Great good, great drinks, awesome atmosphere!

The service was outstanding ! We arrived slightly early to our 8:00 reservation - were immediately sat, and had a really lovely waitress that was incredibly friendly, but also unobtrusive. I am unsure of her name but would love to give her a shout out - she had bangs and i think blue eyes, was Australian, mid length hair. Anyway, she was so friendly, accommodating, fast and cheerful. At the end of our meal we asked her for bar recommendations nearby that she liked and she took the time to list us three great options!

The food was generally fantastic - specifically, the Pandan Spread and the bread as a start was delicious. It had a really lovely smoky coconut taste and a perfect amount of sweetness - like a really delicious, whipped, light nut butter. The Kabocha squash was very disappointing. I wanted to love it, but couldn't - the temperature was off (just under room temperature for a room temperature dish) and a sauce that was so mild that is skirted on bland. Luckily, the vegetarian noodles had an amazing calamansi punch that was unique and a saving grace.

overall, it was a lovely, vibrant experience.

The chicken wontons were raw inside and so we the fried chicken we got. My eggs were not fully cooked either. Seems like they undercooked all our food. We also ordered two drinks and they only brought us one. Pretty bad quality food for our first time here. :( Our waitress was nice but the bus boys were rude when we told them that our food was undercooked.

It’s a salt mine. I am Filipino and the food is certainly not Filipino. It’s more disappointing because this place is so highly rated. Perhaps for the booze?! Or maybe after downing hard liquor one can’t tell the difference between salt and bad food. The birthday chicken was $21 and had three small pieces. $7 a leg?! Are you kidding me?! The pork was undercooked and even with a steak knife I had to be a professional wrestler to slice it, and to chew it was even more agonizing. I won’t be back anytime soon.

Two of us - we tasted 6 different items, and two desserts. It was as if the ingredients in the dishes were just not meant to be put together. After each dish arrived, we took the first bite and looked at each other with disappointment. Not one dish did we completely finish. Even the desserts were bland and tasteless. I guess Filipino food just falls flat for us.

There's nothing like home-made Filipino food. Having said that, most of the upscale Filipino restaurants are never going to be anything like what our grandmothers, mothers, aunts and sisters cook on a daily basis or when there's a gathering of people. I get it. These restaurants have a wider demographic than just Filipinos to satisfy. That's why everything is always fusion food and that comes with a price. I don't mind paying if the food is deliciously awesome! I do like that this restaurant participates in the dineLA experience since the prices are more affordable and it gives you a chance to try their dishes for the first time or try other dishes you didn't the first time around. Their dineLA dinner menu was good. I would have said awesome if the halo halo wasn't a disappointment. This is an iconic Filipino dessert and one of my favorites. Granted it was part of the dineLA menu (so a smaller portion was served) but c'mom, did it have to be watery and bland? I actually had to ask for sugar to sweeten it up! It was still a fail!
