The food and the service were both amazing! Our waitress was delightful and upbeat. The food was immensely flavorful. We will be back for sure!
Our reservations were for Thanksgiving Day, and we are grateful for the excellent service ( Thank you Larissa), the varied menu offerings and the safe and quiet milieu! Larissa helped us select a perfect wine to pair with our entree selections and made suggestions regarding what would be best for our appetizers, which were a truly delicious Escargot and a Belgian Endive Salad. Off course, our entree was the Turkey dinner, moist and tasty and a Wild mushroom Risotto which was the perfect complement! The final, delectable course was a pumpkin souffle and a chocolate mousse, perfect together.
Though we thought we would eat outside, due to the weather, that was not an option. Indoors, tables were safely spaced and also had plexiglas enclosures...pleasant and safe. We would definitely return!! Thank you for a memorable Thanksgiving experience!
Lovely food and service as always. I Had the Thanksgiving special and the pumpkin Soufflé, which was a great rift on the traditional pumpkin pie
Fantastic service, great food, and excellent value.
We really enjoy Ma Maison for a special occasion or a date. It is very romantic for a date or comfortable for family.
This was our first time coming for brunch (we’ve been about 6 or 7 times for dinner) and it didn’t disappoint as usual- delicious bread and amazing crispy poached eggs in particular. Always a pleasure to eat here. Lovely wait staff as well. Will be back soon!
Great meal in difficult circumstances. Heat lamps helped, and they delivered the meals on plates that were very very hot to keep the food hot.
The liver and onions were wonderful as was the salmon. We shared the chocolate mousse, which we enjoyed.
this is a haven for me for many years. I go back to Maison Robert, and as a Dutchman feel at home in many ways.....
Every dish was fantastic. Waiter was perfect. They were already out of the special for the evening - the soufflé - but I was equally happy with another dish off the menu. We’ll definitely be back.
Tasteful barriers between tables.
This was a random find off a google search to satisfy a foie gras craving. Now added to the regular rotation of favorites.
Delightful place for lunch and a meeting with carefully revised seating and air handling to adapt to COVID restrictions. Excellent service ad food as always. Will definitely go back!
The meal was excellent. We would recommend getting dessert as the desserts are out of this world.
Took family there for lunch. Food was very good and we appreciated the kids menu for our little boy. We look forward to going back for dinner.
We were celebrating a milestone birthday and the restaurant made it really special starting with champagne and ending with chocolate mousse! We tried the escargot and frog legs - delicious!! Lobster bisque had chunks of lobster in it, French onion soup was hot, cheesy.
Best waitress ever! We didn't have to ask for a thing, she anticipated our every need from a fork to water etc.
Food and service were excellent as always. Soufflé was amazing! They are doing a great job with outdoor dining.
Wonderful food! Good cocktails and great service! The burger with foie gras is OUTSTANDING!!!!
This is my favorite Boston restaurant.
I have eaten lunch, brunch and dinner here perhaps 30 tomes.
The welcome is warm, the service perfect, the foo consistently wonderful. I have never had a bad meal here.
The prices are quite fair for the quality of the dining experience.
Menu has expanded.
Very pleasant outdoor experience, given on-street location.
The food at Ma Maison is and always has been
Always enjoyable. Cozy room, consistent. Nice staff.
Food and service were stellar. The duck, foie gras, quail, and soufflés were standouts but we also got the short ribs, beef Wellington (sadly, my least favorite as it was a tad too bitter), Sorbets, and Baked Alaska (yummy but needed to be torched more for presentation, it looked a bit goopy).
I loved it! The creme brûlée is to
Die for. The bread is sooo good and I got the stake tartare as an entree (even if it was a starter). My husband got the steak and frites and it was just perfect! We will certainly come back!
Amazing food and service as usual. Keep up the good work!
Outstanding. If you’re in beacon hill or one of the neighborhoods, it’s a must.
The most authentic and delicious French food in the Boston area. Interesting menu. My favorite is the combination soufflé and tenderloin on Tuesdays, but the sweetbreads are also a standout on Thursdays maybe. Wonderful wait staff. And sitting in the parking lane on Cambridge Street is an extra thrill. Looking inside, we saw plexiglass dividers around every table. So it looks as if it is safe to eat inside too.
I actually think Ma Maison is perfect for what it is. Five stars for that, which is a top notch, personal neighborhood restaurant in Beacon Hill. We out of town visitors help support this great establishment. Thank goodness they let us in! And on a cold night let us sit indoors ( safe spacing and staff precautions for COVID, of course).
This Maison has some amazing. original dishes, but mostly great renditions of classics.
Like the Beef stew, or Grand Marnier souffle, or lobster bisque.
What a gem of a restaurant ! Very French. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. Duck was delicious. Will definitely be back !!
Delicious as always! The food and bread are fabulous!
Great accommodation for social distancing with partitions inside. Food was amazing
We really enjoyed our meal at Ma Maison. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We ate indoors (no room outdoors, which has heaters). Ventilation was good and tables well spaced. It was quite noisy, though that was likely due to a particularly noisy group. We had Beet Salad and Onion Soup appetizers. Beef Bourguignon, Scallops, Slow Roasted Salmon as main courses, tart tatin and grand marnier souffle for dessert. (Yep, too much food!) All yummy. Pricey but not outrageous. Ambiance felt like a classic bistro. Would definitely go back.
We are lucky to still have such a fine restaurant. Let's support it!
This is my 6th or 7th time treating myself to chef Jacky Robert's classic French menu, priced right and served with relaxed professionalism. The street-side tables have flowering vines on garden fencing, heat lamps, party lights, white tablecloths, and COVID spacing. I also noted that plexiglass partitions have been installed between tables indoors. This place is sooooo ready to keep diners safe and happy as long as the pandemic persists! All your fave dishes are on the menu, cooked to perfection. We loved our duck confit, frisee salad, leek-chevre tart and escargot. The bill for lunch in France? Ridiculously low. Reserve now and join this bistro's cadre of loyal neighborhood regulars.
Outstanding food and service
The 4 of us ordered different dishes and all were very good.
The service was good.
The setting was also quite safe. I had reserved outside but the 4 of us fell safe to dine in doors as the restaurant has put glass partitions between the tables.
We ordered take out from the restaurant when that was the only way to order their food and we have always been very satisfied.
We highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent all around
Superb meal. More expansive menu!
Solid classic French food in typical Parisian surroundings. Friendly atmosphere and given the Covid-19 pandemic, all involved are very thorough and accommodating. A lovely meal.
They were wonderful at Ma Maison! Treated us to a glass of wine and a wonderful Crème Brûlée for our anniversary! I pre-ordered my Dover Sole and my boyfriend had the Coq au Vin and they were both cooked to perfection! We’ll definitely be back!
