   We get there 20 minutes early, as expected we wait, only for our table to be given up once our reservation came around and we ended up 10 minutes late waiting for a new table to open up. Then, as service started, the server spills her water all over the table. We then ordered a Belgian Endive Salad with Pear and Brie, to go with steak and soups. First off, the fruit was an apple once it arrived, not a pear, and the apple and endive lettuce were both significantly browning. It also looked like it was just thrown together, as nothing was mixed, and by the look of the produce and cheese, it’s something that was sitting in a fridge until it was ready to be served that night. When we tried to explain why we didn’t feel we wanted it, our server began to argue with us, and then proceeded to nudge me on the shoulder as she asked if I wanted tomatoes in the replacement salad. Both my guest and I said no to tomatoes, and they still came on the next salad. After telling our server why we didn’t eat the new one after our meal was done, she argued with us again, and insisted we asked for tomatoes and that because we were sharing it, tomatoes are supposed to be on (not sure what that meant). After trying to explain ourselves more, she began yelling at me and told us it’s our fault that we don’t like it, and then because to physically press up against me as she continued to yell. My guest and I are locals to the area and we were really excited about this reservation. Unfortunately the entire experience was very uncomfortable, and I lost my appetite by the time my Steak arrived. It’s safe to say this is one of my worst food experiences in Boston and I can’t see myself coming here again.

   All my favorite things in a restaurant; quiet intimate, neighborhood feeling , white linen tablecloths but not stuffy and fantastic French country food. Generous portions for fair price. NEVER had a meal there that wasn’t delicious.  Walking distance from MGH so leave your car in affordable patient parking and go get lunch or dinner after your appointment!

   Delightful all around. Service was great. Food was excellent. Cozy dining room. Nice wine list. All around just a great spot for great French cuisine.

   The food is exceptional ! I could have had the quail and escargots appetizers and been happy. Fortunately the culinary delight continued through onion soup onto duck and short ribs. A great place for special occasions

   We go to Ma Maison frequently and love each visit! This was an early birthday dinner at 5 with our boys. They love the kid's menu. Service is always excellent. Warm French baguette and butter to start with nice drinks. I started with lovely New Brunswick oysters (succulent, fresh and served on crushed ice on the half shell with proper accompaniments) then had the PEI Steamed Mussels with shallots and white wine with pommes frites, outstanding as always. My husband had the Duck Magret, delicious. We finished with the Giant Profiterole (huge cream ouff stuffed with vanilla ice cream & topped with chocolate sauce) and Crème Brûlèe, both scrumptious. We had just returned from Paris & find Ma Maison has better food, far better service and prices than the Parisian bistros we tried. Highly recommended! Our favorite!

   Both the food and the service are so wonderful! Wide choice of food, easily accommodated allergy. Excellent drinks as well!

   I cannot recommend Ma Maison enough. The food is amazing I have not had a bad meal there yet.

    What a good way to start the day! Justin was helpful. We enjoyed our brunch and glad we were early because it got crowded around 12.30! Thanks for a wonderful birthday lunch!
