    The restaurant is a little dated and in a city full of great steakhouses, it’s just not good enough. The steaks were way too salty and the sides were disappointing. The staff gives it there all, but the restaurant needs a makeover and maybe a change in the kitchen. Had high hopes, but we were left disappointed and surprised at how expensive it was. I say, pass on Lynn’s.

    Always love eating at Lynn’s as it is such a cozy and tasty place to dine out! The French onion soup and the Lobster bisque are amazing! Daniel our server is an ambassador that always makes us feel like royals!!!

    Lynn’s is a very old establishment with an excellent reputation which is well deserved. We went to have their restaurant week lunch and it was the best value out there. We had a creamy mushroom soup followed by Tournedos which were grilled to perfection and the meat was very tender. Being lunch time, it was somewhat a business clientele with much conversations. If we lived closer, we would be there more often.

    Lynn's is a hidden gem in west Houston; we can't afford to go often, but we have always has an amazing experience when we do. It's nothing to look at from the outside; connected to an older low-slung office building. I'm sure it would be more crowded if it presented better from the road. But those who know, they will be treated to a great evening. The ambiance is lovely - piano music, lovely lighting, small rooms. It's probably not for everyone - not a cool/hip vibe - but perfect for a quiet night out. Not silent - there is a nice lively vibe in the dining rooms, but it's not hard to carry on a conversation at your table (which won't be 18" from someone else's table). Service has typically been unparalleled in town. Our last visit the service from our young server was very good, but not at the level of the more seasoned professional servers that we've had in the past. But I think those folks still work here too - we just didn't them this visit. The food is simply the best we've found; every bit of Papa's Steakhouse, Vic & Anthony's, etc. Lynn's is well worth a shot for folks who like quiet, old-school fine dining establishment; it will not disappoint.

    We ordered off the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu and the choices were excellent. The wine selection is fabulous and the lobster bisque was bowl licking delicious. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were very tender.

    I have been eating here since the 90s. Was great then and still great now. I also enjoy supporting a restaurant that is not part of a national chain. Owner is there every time I have eating there. Probably why the quality of the food is consistent.

    Lynn’s had been on our list to try for a very long time. Made a last minute reservation and are so glad we did. The restaurant is nice and quaint, reminded us of old style New York steakhouse. The filet & New York strip were cooked perfectly, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of crust. Sides were plentiful and tasteful. Best part was the service. Our server, Ms. Lynn was outstanding. She anticipated our needs and was so gracious. We WILL be returning. We actually thought it was better than a Flemings or Vic & Anthony!!

    As we entered, my wife was asked by the Maitre D to remove her hat. As is custom, women have the right to wear a hat anywhere indoors, even in a house of worship. We were then guided to a two top table where there was no room for her hat. Fortunately, the waiter offered to check her hat. The Maitre D was nowhere to be seen. My wife was humiliated by the experience and will most probably not wish to dine here again. The service and food quality were excellent as in our previous visits. One foolish demand will have consequences as far as our future patronage.

The person who greeted you was just doing what was told, but this will not happen again as we have clarified to all of our staff the correct customs.     Came to Lynn’s for the first time to celebrate 11 year anniversary with my wife after a few friends recommended it. This is a very low key old school steak house, and it was nice and quite, the perfect atmosphere for a intimate dinner with my wife. We could talk quietly and had zero noise to compete with. Wine list is ENORMOUS AND IMPRESSIVE! We had the scallops, wedge salad, lobster bisque, a ribeye, and the peppercorn medallions with sides of potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Tops for us was the wedge salad, and the peppercorn medallions. Nice bottle of wine, and after dinner the owner brought us a pair of glasses of champagne and a piece of chocolate cake on the house! The staff was very attentive and we ordered each corse of the meal, upon finishing the previous. This was great as we didn’t feel rushed at all and allowed us to fully enjoy our special day and our conversation over about 2.5 hours. We ended up asking for the check as opposed to being handed it, there was ZERO rush for us to finish or leave from the staff which was so refreshing. I’d say if you want a no frills old school steak house for a special day this is it. If you want flashy interiors, brand new surfaces, and modern design and cooking, you might look elsewhere. If you want a relaxing quite and intimate steak dinner where you can actually talk with your significant other, I highly recommend giving this hidden gem a shot, especially for a birthday or anniversary as the staff really took care of us ❤️

    We spent our 60th wedding anniversary at Lynne’s last night, as we do every year on this occasion. We are never disappointed by the service, helpfulness of the waitstaff, and the ability to actually converse with each other. Bravo to Lynn’s - again!
