LUXBAR was the perfect place to grab food with colleagues after a long day. We went on a Thursday night and it was packed! The grilled cheese and tomato bisque was probably the best I’ve ever had. The only thing that we would improve was the noise level. It was difficult to hear each other but that’s because it was so popular!

Our server, I believe her name is Kathleen was impeccable! We were celebrating our anniversary and she gave us a sundae and gave us some great tips on where to get married in Chicago. I will definitely come back to this location and hopefully have her as a server again. She was the best part.

We were sat at a table outside 20 minutes passed our reservation time that barely fit between two other noisy tables. It then took another 15 minutes to get any type of service. And when our drinks did come out the waiter was confused who ordered what. The food was subpar- definitely not worth the enormous price tag. The ladies next to us complained about their food very loudly due to being over served. One of the ladies tried to convince my friend and I she was a viral Instagram influencer from baking during covid. The one positive experience I will speak on is that the blue cheese olives were fire.

Made a reservation for 7 and had to wait outside till my table was ready at 7:30. Extremely loud the entire time and couldn’t even hear the person sitting across from me. The steaks came out rare. Will most definitely never be back and will never recommend.

My daughter and I went to Luxe (again) - right around the corner. Nice casual place to grab a bite and a glass of wine. We asked to be seated outside and we were fortunate to get the last available table - perfect!! It was a little cool but a really beautiful day to sit outside. I ordered plank salmon which was good, salad tasted weird. My daughter order the wrapped wagyu beef appetizer and crab cake appetizer. She liked both. All and all - a very nice dinner. The head bartender came to the table to introduce himself - a nice touch! Thanks, Luxe!!

I love love love LUXBAR but yesterday was a little disappointing. We ordered our steaks medium rare and they were the opposite plus my steak was so little especially compared to my husband steak.

Difficult to carry conversation as the sound seems to bounce from everywhere in the space. Everyone was talking so loudly to try and communicate with their groups that the noise level of the entire restaurant was extremely distracting.

Always great! Sitting outside is so fun and lively. Lily, our server, was wonderful. Everything was taken care of, never rushed us and you can tell she enjoys her job. I’ll be so sad when I move to Phoenix that I won’t be able to enjoy your restaurant frequently. But you bet I’ll come back every time I’m in Chicago! Cheers!

I had made a reservation online, and stopped in the restaurant a few days prior to talk about trying to get an outdoor table. They were so nice and explained the outdoor reservations process. When we arrived, we did get a nice table outside. I truly appreciate the service, and quality of food. I live close by, and it's always an enjoyable dinner.

Yet another great night at LuxBar. Hostess was sweet, Jess, our server, for the second time in a row, was awesome. Scott, one the managers, took some time to stop by our table to introduce himself. We went to Gibson’s before for drinks, then to LuxBar for dinner. We sat outside. Beautiful night. Food was great, drinks were tasty. Service and vibe were excellent. Another solid night at LuxBar, a neighborhood staple.

Service is horrible. At the end I told the hostess about surprising my friend with dessert for her birthday. 5 mins later the waiter ran over asking who’s birthday it was… completely ruining the surprise. So that was the cherry on top :)

Enjoyed a late brunch/lunch/early dinner. Lots of great choices whether you’re in a brunch or lunch mood. Service is always great. Had a few kitchen errors that were rectified quickly and our server was very professional about it. Filet sliders, French toast, great drinks. It’s definitely loud when it’s busy but it’s an energetic vibe. Our kids enjoyed it as well.
