Located on the storied architectural landmark, Commodore Perry Estate, the restaurant's name is a nod to the estate matriarch Nannie Lewette “Lutie” Perry. The experience melds warm hospitality with the convivial spirit of the property’s Jazz Age legacy, transporting guests to a contemporary garden retreat overlooking lush estate grounds.

Incredible service and amazing cocktails!
Lutie's far exceeded our expectations. From the ambience, to the cocktails, to the tasty dishes, we couldn't get enough and can't wait to go back. The menu changes, but don't miss out on the Petit Aioli, Shrimp, and Green Dish. The only miss for us was the Texas beef dish of the night that lacked flavor and had some tough to chew pieces. Overall one of the best meals I've ever had.
Disappointing experience. Had to wait over 45 minutes past our reservation time. Manager did comp our bar drinks and send over some food once we finally sat. Menu was disappointing. Overpriced for what it was. Won't be back.
I was so excited to finally get a reservation here, but was actually highly disappointed. The service was extremely slow and not very personable (there was tons of staff so it wasn’t for lack of help) it took over 25 mins for a beer from the bar, and the food was meh (minus the Green Dish and the Chickpea salad and the bread which I loved). We tried almost everything on the menu (as the waiter said we needed to get 7-8 dishes for 4 of us. We shared family style—It was way too much) The bathrooms had no toilet paper and the paper towels were overflowing the can and strewn all over the floor like a bad gas station. The noise level was too loud to have a normal level conversation. Not worth the exorbitant price and wait time get a reservation. The decor and look of the restaurant and gardens and mansion was beautiful though, definitely a great photo opp, but not much more.
The bread and butter was amazing and lived up to the hype. The rest of the dishes were okay but nothing special. I was expecting a bit more
We went for my sisters birthday and oh my gosh we loved it! It has a sexy, speakeasy feeling with dim lighting and suede couches. The food was spectacular! We shared the oysters, Petit Aioli, and bread… which btw probably the BEST bread and butter I’ve ever had. I will definitely be celebrating MY birthday there next 🥰
Duck veggies a little sour
Bar service is strong!! Cozy setting with upscale feel. If you’re looking for fresh, updated menu, Luties is your place.
Don’t miss out on the Estate Bread-warm sourdough salted bread like you’ve never had. Butternut squash green dish was nothing short of a light mouth watering delight.
Friendly staff almost outnumbered diners. Looking forward to our next visit. Cheers.
I loved this meal! The specialty bread and butter was outstanding, truly remarkable. The Foie Gras also incredible as well as the caramel ice cream. Just simply delicious !
My only slight disappointment was the steak… It seemed somewhat overcooked but it was still tender.
One of the best meals we had in Austin. The ambiance, the service and the food was overall amazing. We had several courses: the bread and butter, aioli, salad, the pork and the beef along with fois gras. The estate bread, beef and aoli were our favorite. We ended dinner with the crème Carmel which was out of this world good.
Overall a really great time.
Food was outstanding, service was phenomenal, atmosphere was amazing. This is a special restaurant!
Place is definitely overhyped.
Weird/rude service from bartender insisting on using his preferred gin in a negroni
The food menu was odd and dishes were very small/overpriced for Austin at a hotel across the street from a grocery store.
It would have been fine if they were more exciting and flavorful but few were.
Would not return
Overall amazing experience. Both food and service was excellent. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful environment. Amazing New Years 6 course meal. Excellent service by staff.
Worth the wait!! We sat outside and the ambience was beautiful inside and out. Amazing, attentive service and very thankful for our waitress’s guidance on how much to order (4 dishes + a dessert was perfect for two). The majority of dishes were vegetable-based and I would totally be a vegetarian everyday if I could have veggies as deliciously prepared as these dishes. The fried green tomato in the aioli dish was spectacular and the duck was truly incredible. My husband and I agree it was probably the best meal we’ve had this year.
Tommy was a fabulous waiter! We enjoyed every minute. The interior design is so dreamy!!! Everything down to the little matchbooks!
Waitress Andrea was wonderful!! A random manager / hostess was not kind when pointing out that Luties did not open until 5pm on the dot when we walked in front 'open' door at 4:58pm.
If not for the horrible service we received on Christmas Eve by Dan, this would have been a glowing review - the food was delicious and the grounds at Commodore Perry are impeccable. We were SO disappointed that, after waiting for months to finally get a table at Luties, our waiter was so incredibly inexperienced as a server at what we expected to be unrivaled. Moreover, Dan was more interested in sugar-coating the poor service with partaking in shots at our table, left the table with dirty dished after each course (we had to ask several times for clean dishes & water/drink refills) and spent a considerable amount of time flirting with the ladies at the adjacent table while our drinks sat for at least 10-15 minutes. If you get Dan as a server, do yourself a favor and ask to be seated in another section to enjoy what should have been an amazing experience at Luties.
Beautiful surroundings and wonderful service!
I will always recommend Luties- the food is stunning and typically the atmosphere is too but we hit an off night. The music kept going up and down as did the lights. They were struggling to get the vibe right and since we were early 5pm res we felt every bit of it and couldn’t relax. That said the food perfect and we’ll go back. Maybe a bit later next time:)
I had many reservation adjustments and Lutie’s was so accommodating! I love the food and ambiance. Service was wonderful! The kouign amann ice cream is incredible. I love the gulf shrimp and steak main dishes. The chickpea dish is perfect!
The menu was very well rounded and easy to share in order to try a variety of dishes. The falafel, pâté with crusty bread, salad options, and our steak were all delicious! Our sever was also very knowledgeable of the wine menu and food preparation. Reservations are required but so worth it for the ambiance and view of the mansion gardens. We stayed after for a cocktail at the bar and the bartenders were also great!
Luties never fails to impress!
The creative menu Chef Bradley puts together is constantly changing, based on the freshest ingredients available.
Inventive cocktails, superb wine selection, delicious dishes and desserts worth every single calorie — combine that with professional staff who really care, both about their patrons and the food they are serving - Luties is European style, Michelin level dining without the jet lag!
Great service. Our server was very knowledgeable about all the menu items. Our friends enjoyed their cocktails. Food was well prepared and delicious! The speaker was above our table so the music was very loud and the manager kindly reduced the volume for us. Beautiful beautiful venue. Very difficult to get a reservation but worth the extra effort
It took over six months to get a reservation but so worth it.
It was perfect from start to finish. Olivia and Max were friendly, kind, and helped make a great meal and experience happen. Loved everything, especially those oysters
Tommy was great and did an amazing job guiding us through the menu and answering all of my questions about the dishes (which were also amazing!).
The house butter and estate bread !!! Amazing service
Luties is a dream-like stepping into another era on a different planet (or at least somewhere in Europe). The decor is impeccable, of course, but the staff is also wonderful. Highly recommend.
Great ambience, good food. The service seemed a bit rushed at times. Glass of wine was taken with still a sip left in it. One of the plates was taken without checking if we were done.
incredible - every detail of the experience, the food, wine, staff, everything was just impeccable.
Wonderful, we sat outside
One of my favorite dining experiences in Austin! Food was top notch and the cocktails were super unique. Decor was the best I’ve ever seen. Staff exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Took a long time to get a reservation but it was worth the wait!
A great dining experience. Relaxed, unhurried under the stars. An excellent choice.
My party ordered the estate bread and layered butter, desserts, and cocktails. We absolutely loved everything we had and the flavors only became more rich with everything we received. The service was very quick and attentive. The environment was superb. The view; exquisite.
Very beautiful restaurant located on a gorgeous estate. The photos do not do it justice. Serving sizes are very small but that is to be expected. But the food itself was AMAZING!
Beautiful place with Great Gatsby vibe. Dinner was small shared plates and everything, literally everything, was very good and fresh. Highly recommend.
Wonderful staff, food was amazing, great atmosphere
From start to finish the experience was superb. We had Kandace as our server and she was superb. All the dishes were excellent, with the lamb and “green dish” as standouts. Can’t wait to go back (if we can get another reservation!!).
