   All was fine as we, frequent customers, have come to expect. However a seemingly new policy of playing loud canned music disrupted our pleasure. Neither the excellent server staff nor the manager claimed control over the volume. A policy from higher up they said set the volume. There were only three other customer groups in Lure at that time

   Our first visit to Lure was a very enjoyable way to celebrate Mother's Day. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and we were able to be seated at a window table with a great view of Victoria's inner harbour. While the menu wasn't large, it had enough choices to satisfy a seafood or land-based protein lover. The wine and drinks list wasn't overly large either, but again it held enough variety to satisfy anyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers, for my wife it was Prawn Bisque, while I devoured a large bowl of roasted Brussel Sprouts. Our mains both featured Steelhead, hers in a Bowl, while mine was sitting on a bed of shitake risotto with sauteed baby bok choy. Accompanying the mains was a BC wine, Stoneboat Pinot Noir. We look forward to dining at Lure again and trying some other choices on the menu.

   Our experience at the restaurant was flawless, with impeccable service from start to finish. Our server with the Irish accent(mistaken for New Zealand or Australian) was the true highlight…warm, attentive, and effortlessly charming. They anticipated our needs with perfect timing, making the meal not just dinner but a genuinely delightful experience.

   When we booked this very over priced brunch it said that everyone got one free drink on arrival. We did not. The buffet was lacklustre, lots of food was out and not refilled. We sat at our table for 20 mins before getting up to get food and then were told to sit back down until our server came to the table. Once we were able to get food it was not amazing. Dry and hard waffles cold food. They started putting food away 40 mins into out seating. Out server was not checking on the table often. We sat for 30 mins without drinks or plates before she finally came and asked if we wanted the cheque. For what we got I would not spend 90$.

   We couldn't of had a better spot in the restaurant and lovely round table to have our 90th Birthday Celebration. We were overlooking the harbour and even viewed a little whale in the water when we first arrived. The small ferries and Harbour air flying in was also great fun to see. The initial concierge and waitress were very kind and supported our every need. Our food was very good and fresh! I felt very blessed to chose the restaurant on such a lovely sunny day!

   We were the only ones sitting on the patio on a windy, but sunny day and our server was still very attentive and helpful. The happy hour menu offered a variety of food choices and drink options. We'd definitely return!

   Although the ambiance was nice, the food portions were very small for the price….far too expensive for what was provided. A very small side salad, for instance, which was half the size of a typical side salad elsewhere, was $20. Nice atmosphere, but food is too pricey to justify
