Everything was great I do recommend this restaurant and I will definitely go back.
Very tasty food. Grilled Shrimp Provençal special appetizer was extremely good, which was a good thing as I was a bit shocked at their close to $30 price. I think when a starter approaches the price of an entrée, the server should let you know the cost. That aside the food was very good and the service was also very good.
The service was excellent and so were the appetizers.
The pasta with mushrooms was overdone and too much cream and cheese.
The branzino was tasty but very small and had lots of bones despite being filleted.
Excellent in every category- only slight issue was our wonderful server was a little spread thin on a very busy night
Nice variety and imagination with the menu options. We both enjoyed our appetizers and main courses. Good flavor and portions. Friendly service all around from greeter to servers. Will definitely return to check out the more casual options which also looked good (burger & pizza).
My wife and I cane here to visit our friend Carlo, who is a chef here. We were spoiled with food and how great that food was. What a simple amazing perfect menu they have. If you haven’t tried it here you need too. I feel the menu is almost under priced for the quality of food they deliver. The staff were all amazing too. I give it a 20/10!
This is a restaurant I want to like. We dined there when it first opened and it was disappointing. Tried again last summer and again disappointed. Gave it another try on Saturday night, and again we were disappointed, Service was beyond slow as we waited twenty minutes for our waitress to take our drink order. We ordered two entrees, their half chicken on a plank and a skirt steak. Chicken was quite good but the steak was fatty and sub par, but their fries almost made up for it.
We will try it again mid week when they are less overwhelmed.
I have eaten at LuLu's many times and have never had an unsatisfying meal. Tonight in particular for restaurant week, the food was exceptional and bountiful. Which usually isn't the case with most restaurants during this promotion.
The staff is always friendly and makes you feel welcomed and their service is exemplary. It's a great go to spot in or off season in the Hamptons!
Delicious food, nice ambiance, very friendly wait staff. So glad we decided to check this place out.
Our Restaurant Week visit was our first to this Sag Harbor newcomer. The Restaurant Week menu was inventive and the food delicious. We will most certainly be back.
Really great place but sadly understaffed. Waitress was great but over loaded.
Overall a very good place. The one drawback the night I was there, however, was that they seemed understaffed and it caused the service to suffer somewhat. Despite being overwhelmed, the staff was as attentive and friendly as they could have been under the challenging circumstances.
Excellent. Second time there and had great experience again. Food is great, diverse (including vegetarian) and place is really cozy and nice. Minor issue, but both times kitchen made tiny mistakes, though nothing the Maitre D’ would not fix immediately - he is always very very attentive and welcoming.
We were squeezed into a 2-top with a hearing impaired man just inches away who had to shout to all of his dining companions. Moved to the bar. Bartender was unable to comprehend that two people ordering dinner might actually want to eat *together*. My companion's (bland) butternut squash soup came out first, then a plate of decent mussels, and then, only after I inquired, did my steak appear. The soup was flat and not helped by the balsamic drizzle. My steak had an overly acidic chimi churri sauce that I had to scrape off the meat in order to make it edible. Even the fries were underwhelming; I only ate about a third of them whereas normally I eat every last one! We went, we tried, we won't be back.
As always, the food and service were outstanding. Always a pleasure to dine at Lulu
One of our diners ordered the shrimp cocktail and was told it was sold 'by weight', so it could differ in the amount of shrimp. The shrimp came in a bed of ice with the whole body, eyes included. Needless to say, this disgusted our friend, and the shrimp tasted like it came from fresh waters, well-done and tasteless. The burrata sounded promising, yet was uninviting and we shrugged our shoulders at its taste. The steak was good, the lobster was just okay. The cavatelli with wild mushrooms was very rich, owing to the homemade pasta, we assumed. We won't return, as it was ho-hum for loads of money!
I would definitely return because there were so many things on the menu that I want to try.
too loud, too expensive and pretentious; wait staff was very unattentive and not on their game.
Way over priced and the food is unspectacular. My wife's Branzini was skimpy and boney, at $38.00! My NY Strip was delicious but petite, and at $48.00! The Hostess had a sour puss and no personality. The overall atmosphere is interesting, however, and we will enjoy the bar for a beer and a burger, but dinner....never.
Unimpressed that side dish of Mac&cheese was only available that night with the order of a $115 steak for 2. Also that the red wines were all kept in the cellar and were therefore cold. And after asking our waiter 3 times whether there were nuts in a dessert and being assured that there weren't, we were disappointed when our daughter had an asthma attack at night on account of the almonds in the dessert as we discovered the next day. Needs to do better.
Third visit and looking forward to going again. This time there was wonderful live music - not too loud and interestingly good. We LOVE the wood smoked quail and the bib lettuce salad was wonderful....as were the two desserts we had....and some very nice Sancerre and Chardonnay
One goes to a restaurant for the food and the food was quite good. The service was just okay. Could be a little more attentive. The biggest problem was the noise. It was almost impossible to have a normal conversation with one's companions without leaning across the table and shouting. They clearly have jammed in a lot more tables than the old Paradise, plus hardwood tables and chairs and no tablecloths which magnifies the noise.
It was a quiet Sunday evening at the restaurant. The grilled artichoke and pumpkin ratatouille were delicious. Very nice service as well.
The food and the service were both outstanding. I look forward to dining here again.
Lulu's did a great Restaurant Week dinner!
We were impressed and will return.
My only - and I mean only - complaint was the tables were unnecessarily close together. I get it that space is at a premium in season but now that it's just us folks out here, give the diners a little elbow room!
Have eaten here three times, never disappointed!
Four of us dined there for a casual Sunday early supper. Loved the bar— amazing cosmo and martini’s. Delicious oysters and grilled fish.
The roasted cauliflower terrific as well.
We all loved it.
We enjoyed our visit. All the food was delicious, generous portions, nicely presented. Service was a little uneven - the bar order messed up initially (we don't think the waiter was really listening) but fixed quickly, bread brought to the table late and without the olive oil, both shared appetizers we ordered came on top of each other, water glasses not refilled until we shagged down someone - but not so much to make the evening sour. Atmosphere as advertised - loud, a busy and happy vibe. The food was really the star here for us.
I had the Cassoulet. It was Ok but not great. There was an imbalance in the dish. Too many beans not enough duck or greens. Not everyone is enamoured of pork belly. It really in terms of flavor adds nothing but fat. Two chunks of pork belly is way beyond what is required for lubrication. The dish did not resonate.
Had heard so much about this restaurant and was truly looking forward to having dinner there.
The restaurant is attractive.
The service started out OK...however, it deteriorated throughout dinner.
The food was extremely disappointing.
The noise level made conversation impossible.
I will not go there again.
Great food in a lovely location. We loved our dinner!
Great atmosphere , wonderful service,
My husband had the Branzini which he enjoyed.
Unfortunately i thought the menu choices were limited.
Would have liked either a salmon, scallops or tuna dish
Hope they change menu a little since the dishes served looked creative
Shared the paella special - was terrific. Great vibe for a midweek day in the Fall, good bar scene. Been before and will be back again. On a short list of places I love in the Hamptons.
Waited one hour to get a burger and a pizza.
We love Lulus... It is a great addition to the Sag Harbor restaurant scene.
Went on a Saturday night in October. Arrived early and place was half full. By 7 pm it was packed and lively. Excellent service with very knowledgeable waiter, good team effort to serve us throughout the evening, waiter never abandoned us, although he was very busy.
Food very interesting and very tasty. Had Branzino which was delicious and nicely presented, with a delicious grilled tomato accompaniment. They really take special care with the way they cook and present things here and it shows.
Nice wine service.
Very nice atmosphere, nice crowd but not obnoxious Hamptons crowd, more of a local Sag Harbor feel.
Would happily return, lots of items on the menu which I would like to try.
Good food, but olives with pits in martinis. Not good!
Usually love LuLu
Service inattentive and we were there with friends who had not been :(
Veal chop pricey and not that good
We will go back as other experiences better
Been there before, consistently terrific. Very friendly staff
