This was our first time there for Father's Day. The 1st thing i saw was the place was clean. The food and drink was delicious
Granted it was Father's Day.....were seated immediately with a reservation. Servers didn't appear to know who had our table so after 10-15 minutes of waiting we asked the server at the table next to us if she could find out who had our table. She decided to take the table for us. Had to have all water removed because there was stuff floating in it. Hostess was supposed to come back with utensils and napkins but forgot. All tables were full. Music was way too loud in that building with a full house. Everyone seemed to be talking louder to talk over each other with the music being loud. The voices would noticeably go down when the music cut off temporarily. The food was good. Our server was very nice and attentive. We will return but not on a day like Father's Day. Would try to go maybe mid-afternoon to see if it is less crowded.
Took my husband for Fathers Day brunch. Definitely a “place to be.” Plentiful portions & great drinks. Service was prompt & courteous. It made for a fun afternoon. Having their own parking lot is also a big plus.
Was such a great experience for Father’s Day. Thank you!
Everyone was very friendly and gave us prompt service. Our waiter was exceptional! As more diners came in, the noise level rose more than I would have liked. Made it a little hard to hold a conversation. Has to do with the structure of the historic building, which was nicely finished inside.
The food was terrible. Like a 0/10. Boudin egg rolls were just a rice egg roll. The wife’s steak was tough and chewy. The crawfish queso was good. But that’s the only positive.
GREAT service, food was very yummy. Drinks vere tasty
The wait staff was great. Very cool to see the distilling equipment. And the food was tasty. The flight if distilled spirits was inexpensive and tasty. But don’t expect to drive after dinner. We rode the street car there and back.
Wonderful Monday night experience at Lula. Staff was very engaged and food was wonderful. Left with some of their super smooth gin to enjoy at home.
Fantastic! Better than expected. Service was great. The food was very creative and the cocktails were superb!
Service is excellent. The food is delicious; I'd ordered the crawfish queso and saw three more orders pass by my table while dining. I asked for a recommendation between the grilled and seared fish, my server suggested the grilled fish, and it did not disappoint. The frozen pomegranate lemonade was cold and excellent on a hot summer day. My server suggested I end my meal with the lemon ice box pie, and it was another excellent recommendation. The only thing I questioned was being able to taste the spirits at the distillery. I couldn't find details on a tour or tasting from the website.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Saturday brunch was wonderful! Food was great as were the bottomless vodka cocktails. A bit off the hustle and bustle of the French quarter and would definitely return!
Great service and fantastic food! The ribs were exquisite.
It’s a nice place and it’s clean, but the food is really average. It just wasn’t impressive for the location and the vibe it boasts. Crawfish Mac and cheese was 90% cheese. The lamb chops were well cooked but lacked flavor. Really good onion rings.
I made a reservation for 5 people a few days in advance for a special occasion. I was placed between two party tables - one table had 20 people seated & the other table had 10 people seated. It was my first time being there..I could not hear my waiter, let alone my family members that were seated with me... even the waiter was extremely annoyed.
I understand that Lula has to accommodate as many people as possible but I feel as though they should have paid more attention to the table arrangements when seating their customers. For example, they should have placed us at a table where they’re wasn’t so much commotion - outside, the bar, or the front.
Dined at Lula on a Friday evening - enjoyed it so much I returned on Sunday for brunch!!!
The food, the cocktails, the servers, the atmosphere - all top notch - from appetizers to desserts - all totally delicious. A special shout out to our servers: Maggie on Friday & Dean on Sunday - wonderfully attentive even as the restaurant was packed on both visits.
Give Lula Restaurant Distillery a try - you won't be disappointed!!!
This is a great place
Has potential but it was just ok. I didn't like a side that came with my meal and the owner accommodated but everyone at the table was a little overwhelmed about our meal.
We had a fantastic time at Lula's. The service was great, food was excellent and cocktails were delicious. The happy hour is a great incentive to try a variety of their spirits, and we would highly recommend to get out of the touristy and busy French Quarter to visit Lula's on any trip to NOLA!
Went for a bachelorette dinner one night. Had some really good food and the bride had a great time.
Everything was nice ! Food and the service!
Great food! We had a great server! G&t was strong!!!!
Coming from out of town we landed in this place after looking at the menu online. We were not disappointed! The drinks were amazing and we ended up taking a half gallon of the Vodka Cucumber Tom Collins to go. Although the initial service was slow, the food was excellent and the staff was friendly. We will come back when we visit again!
Very noisy restaurant
Food was fair and service was poor
The food was great and initially the waitress was friendly and helpful. After we received our food, however we were ignored even though she spent a lot of time at the table right next to us. She took the appetizer away when there was still food left without checking first if we were through. We asked for wine with our dinner and never received it. The waitress never once came back to see if we needed anything. Overall the wait staff made our time there unpleasant.
I always enjoy lula
Food was okay, just okay
Great food and atmosphere! Server was wonderful as well.
Appetizers and food came out quickly. The food was good.. The environment was pleasant. Our server was not as available as we would have liked. We had to look for her to get napkins, straws, and to remove plates.
We really enjoyed our experience. We appreciate that they are located on the street car line so that we could enjoy a few cocktails. Our service was great. The food was delicious. We were also very happy that they were prepared to welcome children. We will be back next time we are in town.
Do not go here if you are a vegetarian! No imagination whatsoever in how to accommodate even a lacto- ovo. Minimal drink choices.
Chose this on a whim and glad we did! Right on St. Charles streetcar line. Happy hour had some great drink specials! $5 pomegranate lemonade boozy slushie (16oz) was awesome! Food was great- crawfish queso and homemade chips are a must have appetizer. Inside is open, rustic, clean and can view the distillery behind full glass walls. We ate inside but, patio looked charming with umbrellas. I’d go again!
Great atmosphere and crowd and delicious food. Try the shrimp and grits! The market special, which was redfish, was also great. Friendly servers and bartenders and an easy walk from the St Charles Avenue hotels.
I hate giving bad reviews, and maybe this was just an off day for the restaurant, but it was an entire waste! The menu and pics online looked amazing. Ambiance was nice. And I was excited to eat somewhere that was NOT fancy with a dress code. But our crawfish queso app was ICE COLD, the chips with it cold and borderline stale. We ordered the lamb chops and filet for dinner. The filet is a STEAK, not a filet. It looked like a cheap sirloin from a buffet. Im pretty sure the side salad (that came out late) had no dressing at all. The onion rings on top of the lamb chops must’ve been intended as a garnish bc they were soggy and ice cold as well. I will say the lamb chops were seasoned and cooked well and the green bean side was ok. The potatoes on that dish were blahza and plain and unseasoned. Our server was ok, but just didn’t have that friendly upbeat attitude we are used to. And we didn’t want to be “those people,” so we didn’t complain about any of our food.
Just wanted to warn people- do not go with high expectations!! Or just order the lamb chops. I feel for the food we got, and the casual atmosphere, this place is OVERPRICED. Spend a little more and eat at one of the fancier restaurants! Then your money won’t be wasted.
it was nice place food great and parking close.
Great atmosphere. Food was awesome. I would definitely return. Date night hit!!!!
Great food and even better service! Shout out to our server Dean F. for making our visit pleasant and memorable.
I requested outside seating and it was great with the atmosphere, food and service. Will definitely visit again!
It was my first time and it was everything I was very satisfied. Riley the waitress was Amazing 😊 I will definitely return.
