In the heart of New Orleans, expertly crafted food, spirits and cocktails come together in a unique privately owned micro-distillery and restaurant.

We are quintessentially southern with a distinct Louisiana influence. We are Lula Restaurant-Distillery.

As the first and only restaurant-distillery in New Orleans, Louisiana and in the Southeast US, we promise to offer you an incredible experience in the shadows of our copper still and along the historic streetcar line of St. Charles Avenue.

Lunch Specials include options such as our Des Allemands Fish Club ($10) (back by popular demand), Blackberry Glazed Ribs ($13) and Fried Chicken Sandwich ($10)! Stop in for a quick lunch (free parking is available in our parking lot) or start the weekend off early with our Bottomless Vodka Bar ($20). We provide our housemade Lula vodka and you can help yourself to mixers such as a Moscow Mule, Pomegranate Lemonade, Bay Breeze, Bloody Mary, & House-made tonic.     Our server Elijah was friendly but seemed a bit overworked--he was at the bar making drinks, waiting tables, and cleaning tables as well. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was flavored well, and they had the heads on them. My husband enjoyed the blackberry glazed ribs, but we didn't realize the coleslaw contained pecans. My husband has a nut allergy. I wish this was stated in the menu.

    Arrived early for a cocktail at the bar and it was great. Bartender very friendly and attentive, happy hour cocktails yummy and good prices. The server at dinner, on the other hand, was MISERABLE. We were a large party of 8 women and were slow to make decisions, which I can understand would be annoying, but he was so happy and annoyed with us, everyone at the table felt it. Food was fine, not great. Probably won't be back for awhile.

    We feel truly lucky to have discovered this gem! From start to finish, our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The bottomless vodka bar, featuring in-house distilled vodka, was a real treat—smooth, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick off the evening. The tomato stack appetizer with shrimp was a delightful opener, with vibrant flavors and just the right touch of creativity. For the main course, the chicken and biscuits were so delicious they’ll definitely bring us back on our next visit to the Big Easy. A special shoutout to our server, Anyi, who was not only exceptionally friendly but also professional and attentive, making sure every part of our meal was perfect. We can’t wait to return!

    Although the food was lovely and our server was sweet, she was so busy that we hardly saw her and had to wait long intervals between getting drinks, ordering, etc.

    e shrimp boil- the flavor is on point, it's not your traditional boil because it doesn't have the traditional boil seasoning, but it's good. My son ordered the fried chicken sandwich- it's on a Texas toast and he lives that! He said the flavor is amazing and the chicken is soft (not chewy) and breading is crispy! The sauce is good. My other son ordered the skirt steak- it has good seasoning. It was cooked really good. The he side was fries and these are hand made! These are good! I say the ranch is great! The service is really good. My husband said he has had better old fashions, but it wasn't bad. The drink I got was yummy. Make your way over to this place and give them a try!

    The lamb chops and the osso buco were exceptional as always. The crawfish queso was kind of watery and the gumbo had a slight burnt tastes. My husband’s burger was cooked as ordered.

    We have had great experiences here many times. Unfortunately Mother’s Day was an awful experience. Our server seemed mad that we were sat at her table. She got upset that I took too long to choose a drink and just walked away without taking my drink order or any other orders. She didn’t come back to take our food or drink orders for a long time and the restaurant had filled up so it took forever to get our drinks and food. Our appetizers were brought to the wrong table because the runners didn’t know where any of the food was supposed to go. Multiple tried to give us food that wasn’t ours while we waited much much longer for our food than anyone around us including large parties, people seated after us, etc. The food came out burnt on some, almost completely raw on others. Nothing like it has been in the past. I felt that I couldn’t even tell the server because of her bad attitude. And the cherry on top— They gave the kids coloring pages but nothing to color or draw on them with so they had nothing to do during the extremely long wait for their food. Terrible service, terrible food, will not be going back after many years.
