The food was excellent and service was very good, although waitress was stretched covering several tables. We had a party of 8 and she did a good job. We found Luigi’s when we were in town earlier this year and now will make it a regular on our must eat at restaurants.
I love to eat so every time I go on vacation, I search high and low for good food spots. I picked Luigi’s after reading great reviews on a several sites. All of the food was delicious - appetizers, salad, soup, pasta, desserts… everything! I forget her name but our server was extremely personable and welcoming. If I ever come back to Myrtle Beach, I will definitely come back here.
Honestly, Luigi’s came highly recommended and we all felt it was just “meh”. All of our pastas dishes were swimming in lots of sauce…not very sophisticated. And the sauces were a bit lackluster. Bagged salads with some garnish. For us the highlight was the pre-dinner bread. The menu is not overly priced. So that was good. It’s just middle of the road…you could do worse, you could do better.
The food was amazing and not expensive. There were 5 of us and everyone was super happy with their meals. Eggplant parm and chicken lemone were fantastic. I will say it was very "lively" inside (i.e. REALLY loud). So if you are sensitive to loud or want a quiet romantic dinner--this is not the place. The patio area where we sat could definitely use some sound absorption panels or something to help dampen the noise.
Everything was great and the price was definitely appropriate. We all took the food home and we could not finish our meals. From the welcome to the hot bread to the end of the meal we could not find a flaw.
Food and service was great
Wonderful food. We are from NYC and wasn’t expecting Italian food on this level. Excellent Prices are very reasonable as well. Sat outside. Very nice dinner
We were a party of five on 7/29 and Sarah was our waitress, she was by far the best part of Luigis! She was very attentive and on top of our needs. The Stuffed artichoke appetizer was really good and the hot bread was also a winner. So here comes the negative part.....house wines were far worse than a normal house wine, shrimp scampi was bland, cheese ravioli and spaghetti were average. I had the scallops and lobster risotto. I thought it was good, the scallops were very small but I am ok with that. We have been to Luigis before and I had the salmon and though it was ok but everyone else in my party enjoyed their meal so I thought I just picked the wrong meal. Unfortunately we will not be back due to lack of consistency. They seem like a good crew but the food is barely average.
Food was ok, not bad, but some things didn’t seem homemade. Service was not overly friendly, although our server warmed up a little toward the end. But at one point my daughter dropped a fork, and a passing server just looked at it on the floor and then walked right by. Now, my daughter was going to pick it up, but it was literally closer to the server than her, and that was kind of appalling from a customer service person in my opinion.
Great food as well as atmosphere and our server Shantil was great
Everything was wonderful
Great authentic Italian. Very much enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and evening!
Food was delicious, great value
We stop here every vacation we take at Myrtle Beach and always have great food and great service. Highly recommend.
Great family restaurant, the staff was very attentive to our grandchildren. The food was excellent, very tender and fresh. We had the grouper dish, frutti del mare, calamari, alfredo, and a variety of appetizers. Every thing was well prepared and served hot.
Love the restaurant. We come anytime we are in Myrtle beach
Because we made reservations, we were seated as soon as we walked in. Our waitress was friendly; the food was worth the money, and parking was easy. I would definitely eat there again.
The bread and oil is amazing!!! It was a little loud but the food was great!
Every year when we vacation at Myrtle Beach, we make it a point to eat here at least once, sometimes twice. The food has always been outstanding, one of our favorites it the calamari appetizer with the light breading and marinara sauce with hot peppers it is just delicious!
We had come here two years ago and really enjoyed so we decided to give it another try. We love the bread and seasons olive oil they give you when you sit down. We shared a bottle of wine and the mussels as an appetizer. They were good. I like a little more spice and garlic but they were still good. I had the house salad was good “and my husband the Tomato Basil soup. We had been eating so much seafood so I ordered the Veal Parmigiana and my husband the Chicken Franchese. They were huge portions and we ate it all! We had very little room for dessert but we shared Tiramisu. Which as very good but a little frozen in the middle. Which tells me it was frozen. I would have a preferred fresh but it was very good. All in all we would go again. The prices are good and it is comfortable there. We will return. We had a 630 reservation and glad we did. There were people waiting when we left.
We had a great time! The food was excellent and the service was outstanding as usual with Phil.
Outstanding, friendly service. Very good food. Something for everyone. While we enjoyed a few Italian meals in the neighborhood, Luigi's certainly had the better service.
Everything was so good, From the fresh bread, to just the right amount of pasta, to the delicious dessert!
Great experience. This is our go to destination when we go on vacation. Food is delicious and never disappoints. Waiters are very friendly and the restaurant is well managed.
Had a reservation that is a must and was seated within 5 minutes. Excellent service by our waiter Enea. Our 46th wedding anniversary was the occasion on our vacation visit. Food was the best and our favorite wine, white zin was available. Already made our reservation for upcoming Saturday before our return to Ohio. One of the best Italian restaurants in Myrtle.
Excellent dishes for a reasonable price - we got the veal saltimbaca and veal piccata- they are pretty generous with the veal and it’s delicious- clean and nice atmosphere-
Our food was wonderful and our server , Janine, was very good. The last two times we ate at Luigi’s we had a server( same both times) who was not attentive. Would definitely want to be seated at one of Janine’s tables for future visits.
We went for an early dinner- 5:15 with a 15 month old. They were very accommodating and attentive! Stuck us in the perfect little corner so we didn't feel like we were disturbing other guests. Great food for the value!
The veal osso bucco was amazing, but the vodka sauce pastas were just so-so. The bread was also not very much to write home about. It was worth a try if you haven't done so before, but "Ciao" is superior.
Mussels, osso bucco, chicken and desserts were awesome!
Great food, great service. Loved it.
We are outside. Very loud inside. Great lively atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Wonderful place. Food is wonderful and the early bird specials are a steal. Nice ambiance and noise level is reasonable. Anyone can find something to like here.
Good food , but not like up north
Daughter’s 22nd Birthday
Great Italian food for everyone - all the traditional options plus great seafood and chef special (veal Osso Bucco was excellent!). Good drink & wine selection, too. Large portions, great service (Enan our waiter was attentive and helpful with suggestions and recommendations). Celebrated a birthday, and the staff came out and sang to our Bday girl.
Food was delicious!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back
Amazing food! Big portions and salad is included with the price. You should definitely eat at this place.
The food is delicious. Make reservations if you can.
The waiter took forever, we watched as other seated AFTER us got their bread and appetizers and all their food before us and it was simply ridiculous how long it took. Food was great but it was just unfortunate the way they served us
