Lucky Robot is the 1st sushi restaurant in Texas to partner with the James Beard Foundation and Monterrey Bay Aquarium sustainability programs. We are committed to healthy oceans.
Our kitchen is lead by 2 time Ora King Finalist Jay Huang. Fish is flown in from around the world, including from Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. We offer local, farm to table and organic produce whenever possible.
We want to present the bright lights, fun Tokyo experience and the best sushi in Austin. Cheers.
5 piece sushi
seared pork belly, woodear mushrooms, bean sprouts, ajitama egg, menma, shoyu pork broth
Umi Miso Ramen
japanese sea bream, tiger shrimp, yellow corn, white onion, napa cabbage, shiitake mushroom, spicy miso seafood broth
We made it in time for the Happy Hour. The fun bites selection was all so delicious and our server had great recommendations for our sake choices.
Food was amazing, the staff also made us feel at home and answered all of our questions. Will definitely go back on our next visit to the city.
Extremely impressed with the wait staff. Our server Drew had great recommendations and knew about all the fish in the sushi and how they tasted, which helped us making decision. Giving 2 thumbs up to the staff! Thank you
Good food but an awkward quiet ambiance (no music on outside). Told the server a couple times but she didn’t fix it. Finally made a comment to another server and the speaker situation was resolved briefly but the sound went back down low shortly thereafter. When eating outside, it’s be great to enjoy music vs. sounds from the streets.
Server was very friendly and attentive. We sat outside which was a bit loud but still a nice experience. The food was very delicious!! Highly recommend
service and hospitality were beyond great, the food was overall good, beautiful indoor dec.
The food, drinks and service were great. It was slightly annoying that I made a reservation and we didn't get seated until about 20 minutes after my reservation time but other than that we had a really good experience.
Great as always! We were a little late for our reservations, but they were nice enough to seat us as soon as we came in. Cherry blossom installation is a beautiful new touch!
Great food and service. I went with a friend who was gluten-free and the menu was very challenging - no markings or anything to help people who don't eat gluten.
My favorite place for vegan or vegetarian sushi
Super tasty food, great service, incredible decor, all around great experience. Will definitely be back!
The service was prompt and the vibe of the place was excellent. While we've been to some places where the dollar value to food quality ratio was a bit better, I definitely anticipate coming back to this neighborhood gem.
Great food ask for omikase and let the Cheff shine and give you His or Her best.
We were having dinner with our Longhorn Freshman, 12 year old daughter, and our dog. The staff was super accommodating and sweet. They poured water for the pooch and didn’t flinch when she barked at passers by. They were so knowledgeable about all the choices and were able to suggest items for my carb-free husband. The food was exquisite, delicate, fresh, clean, inventive and satisfying. The kids loved their sushi rolls and the delectable bao. The toro/pork belly and dog cold plate was so delicious we immediately ordered a second one. The shrimp toast butter sauce was so yummy I asked for a spoon so I could slurp up every drop. Yum, yum, yum!!! Thank you so much, Lucky Robot for he awesome experience.
Our server and the young man she was training were both knowledgable and helpful. The food was excellent and so was the service. We are new to the area and this was our first visit. We felt very comfortable being outside with the socially distanced tables and masks. Lovely evening,
Loved our dinner here - great, fresh variety from sashimi and maki rolls to many bowls and even ramen. Really enjoyed the tiger eye maki, kingu sake toro, and ikura. The location is prime and the decor is quirky and fun. A fun and memorable place for sushi dinner with friends or date night.
Not good service. First off, the hostess comes over to tell us to keep mask on till food arrives. Then we can't drink? Not good communication. Then she proceeded to pick up various things off the floor with the same gloves she did hosting duties with. She never changed them. Don't be a hypocrite. Then they were out of tuna. Waiter never told us other choices. He just walked away. Service was very slow. Portion very small. Not a good experience or value all around.
Great service, good food for the price
So yummy all the time! Always fresh and the flavors are so complimentary. One of my favorite spots!
The waiter never acknowledged that our food was taking a long time to get to our table.
It was a good experience with the exception that a waiter pet a dog with gloves on and did not remove them when continuing service.
In a town with some big-name places, this is a great option. Their commitment to sustainability means that the menu has omissions, but also some fantastic new options. The food was great, the service was memorable, the atmosphere is unique, and they brought us our favorite drink in a carafe. Ask for Abby.
Server was great, food was spectacular
I’ve always loved lucky robot and it was nice to show one of my favorite eating spots to my fiancé.
was a good experience
Nice place, interesting dishes, unique decor. Fun place for dinner w/friends or date nights.
Probably one of the best places to take a cute date
The food was good. However, it is freezing cold in there. So if you get cold easily like I do BRING A SWEATER or something to cover up with
Top notch food and service
Food was fantastic. The cherry blossom were beautiful.
The best service and absolutely amazing food!!!!!!!
Sat down for dinner at 7:35p and was greeted by our host who took my order of edamame and a cool tasting dish. The edamame came out and was bland and a bit cold but fine nonetheless. I then waited until 8:10p and did not receive my cool tasting dish. The couple across from me had received an apology for their food taking so long about 15 minutes into my meal and had received a free desert to say sorry before I had received my cool tasting. Numerous tables that had walked in after me received their starters before I had received mine. I stood up and spoke to the GM, who said that they had been slammed by to-go orders which didn't add up as other tables were receiving their food. The GM comped my edamame and I walked out. Tough look for sushi in Austin, given the numerous options.
The spider roll is amazing.
Great food options and appreciate the options to look at the menu on your phone. Service was on point!
The Robo Ramen was a huge hit with my kids and the spicy edamame was superb!
The owner Adam was great and the food was outstanding! We will be back!
Great service, great food, the atmosphere was really cool with all the lights and everything. Only bad thing was they seemed to be out of quite a few items, but had plenty of others to choose.
You make reservation for 7:15pm.
Sit down. Excited.
Informed by server they've run out of Salmon and Tuna.
So much for sushi night.
The food is good but some fans for the outside tables would be nice. The street can also be very loud with motorcycles passing by. That is a popular thing on SoCo so expect it. Doesn’t mean it isn’t disruptive to conversation though. Service was lacking a bit. Waiter hardly checked on our table. We also were sitting outside for more than 5 mins without water being served. If you’re going to have outdoor seating in the Texas heat, water should be served almost instantly upon seating the party
The wife and I tried Lucky Robot and loved the place. Great service and decorations. Not the largest selection of rolls, but enough to satisfy my curiosity and hunger, and they had some unique combinations that were really delicious.
This place is a wonderful restaurant! They are always so nice and the food is always great 😊
