Lucky Fins Seafood Grill
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Chowder was great!
The server was excellent and especially attentive to one of my friends who has extremely bad allergies. She was very helpful and wonderful to accommodate her needs. The food was wonderful, especially the salmon! I would highly recommend eating here
Outstanding and high quality seafood in a fun downtown setting
Our server was awesome! What an attentive guy and boxed up the leftovers so nicely :) The Birthday luncheon was a great success so many thanks!
My wife’s significant other was marrying his brother. In for the wedding,
When I first walked in, the hostess asked if I wanted to be seated inside or outside. There was a band playing outside that was fairly loud so I requested inside. I’m in a band so I didn’t have anything against the band it was just that I wanted a bit more quiet dining experience. She began to seat me inside but the windows were all open and the band noise was too much to have nice conversation. Would’ve had to strain to hear and talk. I asked her if there was a quieter area so thank God she moved us to the back to a really nice table that was perfect for visiting with family which is what we were there to do. Then we had Thomas as our server who was absolutely wonderful. What a great attitude he has! Very attentive and fun. We really enjoyed him. It made our experience that much better! The food was fabulous. We will be back!
Following other reviews, we went to LF while visiting Boise for a few days and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of each dish and the value of food for the price. Had a wonderful scallop and ahi salad. Sat outside, enjoyed watching the people on the plaza. Liked it so much we went back with friends two days later. Would recommend to anyone, especially those who like sushi.
Celebrating my husband’s father’s birthday, we decided to try some new items as my husband and I typically order sushi and have had some great seafood appetizers before. We ordered 2 of the LF favorites (prime sandwich and fin noodle dish) & found both dishes subpar. Service was excellent and we did have a delicious Mango Tango sushi roll as an appetizer but it would be hard to recommend this place for anything outside of the primary seafood dishes.
Food was good, our server was GREAT but for some reason the evening we were there, the place was overrun with flies.
Fantastic food and service, thank you! The location and outdoor misters were great.
Sushi was subpar. Tuna on top of roll looked like torn, not clean cuts. For a seafood based restaurant the quality of fish was poor and not freash. Shrimp scampi was pretty good. Halibut was fishy.
Great food and service on a Friday evening! The menu was much more in depth than we expected and not exorbitantly priced for the location. Great, friendly atmosphere for couples, groups, and families.
The menu stated truffle fries.. I was given regular fries. When I pointed this out I was given some salty garlic mix to put on my fries. Expectations did not meet reality.
Second time the service was poor! Once we were seated it took a very long time to be acknowledged. When asked about our server there seemed to be a lot of confusion. We tried to walk up to the bar but were ignored. Once we ordered drink, they sat at the bar until we got up and tried to get our drinks. The bartender said we couldn't touch them. The bartender should have walked around the bar and brought them to our table with a smile...instead she turned her back to us and proceeded to chat with another co-worker. A lot of employees sitting around the bar and flat out not doing their jobs. We ended up walking out and went across the street to Buffalo Wild Wings where the service was amazing and high quality. Although we enjoy the food, we are going to have to say Goodbye to Lucky Fins and stop recommending them. This place is totally mismanaged! Too bad!
Great representation of downtown Boise
Good food and good service.Appreciate the value.
Thomas was a 10 and the food was exceptional. I will be back soon!
Dined here on a Tuesday @ 5 p.m. Not crowded so noise was low. Bartender/waiter was Eric who gave great service, recommendations, and made excellent cocktails. Food was excellent and appetizers were delicious, too. Definitely a do-over.
Sat outside on hot summers evening. Tarps for shade and misters kept the temperature perfect. Great service.
I was in town from Colorado and took my 90 year old mother & sister to dinner. Everything was perfect except the Ladies bathroom was a mess! Paper towels all over the floor and the sinks were dirty.
Food & service was great...
Took family to celebrate wife's birthday. Service was good, food was very good and vibe was pleasant. We indulged in apps, cocktails and entrees, so the bill got up there, but not out of range compared to other similar class establishments. I look forward to a return visit!
The sushi was phenomenal as usual but the happy hour prices for 20 oz beers didn’t seem like the best bang for your buck.
Absolutely worst service possible. Food hadn't arrived after 1 hour! Asked for managers, Cami came and asked us what was wrong. She brought out the food almost immediately. 3 of 4 entrees. All were extremely cold and had been sitting for probably 45 minutes. She offered us a gift card - as if we'd be back! We left and went elsewhere.
I prefer the Meridian location. Dinner was good, waited over 40 min for dessert to come out but had to leave.
We went for brunch. The bloody Marys were good but a touch on the pricey side. My mom got the Birkenstock Benedict and the eggs were cooked through.. not exactly what one looks for with a benedict. Otherwise good was fine. Service was a little slow for how few people were there but overall pretty decent
Wonderful food & service in a great atmosphere.
Will definitely go back.
The food was fresh and full of flavor. I would definitely recommend going there for any meal.
Made a reservation for 6PM, when arrived, nothing reserved. Name not even on the reserved list. Was told a 15 -20 minute wait. Went to Fat Albert's instead. Got right in.
I've been to Lucky Fins three times and each time my food, drinks, and service are great!
My husband had the lobster Mac and cheese and really liked it. However, I don’t care for seafood but usually seafood restaurants have several options for those that don’t want seafood. I found those options very limited. Much of their food is spicy and I don’t care for spicy food either. So I ended up with the cheeseburger. It was very good but I was disappointed that the selections were so limited. Our waiter wasn’t particularly attentive. It took quite a while to get boxes and our bill.
Friendly waiter and gave good suggestions when asked. Forgot to refill waters but refilled soda 3 times, which is too much. Noise level his high but atmosphere is fun and location is ideal.
Very good brunch and a great value. The service was good and I would recommend to families!
We went there two evenings in a row it was so good. I haven't been to Boise in awhile, and what a pleasant surprise to be reminded what a happening place it is. Friday evening, they had live music, the weather was perfect and you could sit outside. They have some nice specialty drinks too.
Food tasted good and it was not a bad expierence. One of our orders was incorrect and they just explained that they messed up making it and the waitress apologized for the chef. The timely manner in which our drink orders and extra requests such as sauces took longer than expected. And lastly our salad seemed very plain as it did not have anything but the greens, and very little amount of dressing that was gone in a few bites. Overall it was not bad but we also had heard it was pretty great, and after our first visit we thought it was okay. Price was higher than we expected, and our order that was made wrong was not offered to be corrected.
our server was just MIA the whole night, drinks never came, we never got to ask if we wanted another drink, she missed part of order- she needs some training.
excellent cocktails, excellent starter (calimari), excellent clam chowder, excellent mango yellow cake desert. Only small criticism is coffee was a bit old in the pot...I'll be back.
Excellent food. I ordered the Salmon, which is smoked served on the cedar plank. I was trying to go really low carb so the server was kind and easily substituted a plain salad instead potatoes for a small upcharge. My asparagus was cooked perfectly and the salmon was delicious. My meal was excellent.
Good food, steak cooked just right, medium rare. My wife loved the salmon.
Food is delightful; menu broad to appeal to preference or price. Dined there four or four times in past and will return again in the future.
