the food was good, but the selection was not. You should definitely include far more options for vegans. Offer your dishes with vegan options: meat substitutes, (including mushrooms) for meat, cheese substitutes for cheeses, including with pizzas. No need to depart from classical Italian dishes, just make the substitutions of ingredients that render them vegan. Many other restaurants are doing just that. I wish you would, we would come there far more often.
Their food is excellent most of the time. Great place for entertaining friends or family. Neighborhood place, so go later in the evening if you don't don't like occasional noise from children.
Great server good food but very noisy
Great place love the food
We really like Lucca. We have been there a couple times as it's walking distance from the house, and feel lucky to have such a great spot in the neighborhood. The pastas are great, as are all the pizzas.
The food was excellent and the service was as well. We will definitely go back again!
The pork was just not good; 3 scallops for $26?
Great neighborhood bistro. You can dine on some fabulous dishes or just get a pizza and salad.
New Year’s Eve. Had a great time and very good service. Didn’t like the table we had at first but were moved and felt much better. Experience was definitely above average and nothing negative to say but didn’t quite wow me either . Just a nice solid experience
New Years Eve dinner was wonderful. Fixed price meal was well-conceived and delicious.
Great meal, great service, great value! We couldn't ask for a better way to ring out 2019. Everything was fantastic!
We have been going for dinner about once a quarter since they opened. We love it.
Yes, I would recommend Lucca. Have eaten lunch there for years, but first time dinner. I would wish a little longer menu and a few more choices. The pannacotta with pomegranet seeds and candied pistachios didn't really work because the pistachios made one think you were crunching seeds. But the flavor was delightful.
We visited Lucca to celebrate a 57th and a 90th birthday. As we were celebrating, I was taking photos at our table. Our waiter took a few photos for us which was nice; however, a few minutes later, he came over and insisted that I quit taking photos because it was disturbing their regular customers. I was not taking photos of any other patrons nor was I wandering around the restaurant. As the meal progressed, our waiter got progressively less attentive to our table. Finally, the food was good but it did not hold up to the standard we have come to expect when we visit. I would no longer recommend Lucca for special occasions or celebrations.
One of our favorite spots for a special dinner in a welcoming atmosphere. We have always been happy with our servers' suggestions.
My husband and I had a date night here recently. Lucca has a nicely lit modern feel. The menu is Italian with some different from the usual items. My husband had a duck pasta with duck cracklings and enjoyed it very much. Our waiter was superb with his service. He instantly moved us away from a noisy child without a hesitation on his part. That saved our date evening! Highly recommend Lucca.
I love your restaurant. Food is always outstanding. I'm in my seventies so there is too much noise. I'll need to remember to ask for the back room. Not your fault!
This was my first time at this restaurant. It is located in a nice area. The location is good, on the corner with lots of windows. The interior is nice, but a little plain. The servers are friendly and competent. We had a variety of dinners, and a couple of pizzas. The food is good. The four cheese pizza is a little disappointing, lots of cheese, no red sauce. Overall, I think 4 of 5 stars.
Lucca is our new goto place for special occasions. The service was excellent, nice attention but not hovering. I told them it was our anniversary (might be a nice touch to have a comment field when making the reservation) and they brought us some champagne. Squash appetizer was excellent. I had the steak and I felt the serving was a little cool but it was very tasty and just the right size. My wife had the mushroom spaghetti which was also excellent.
Luca is a wonderful experience everyone should try! The staff and service are friendly knowledgeable and gracious! My wife and I celebrated her birthday and truly enjoyed the evening food wine and service!
Thank you Lucca staff!
Clean including the rest rooms, greeted right away and seated. All down hill from there. Table sat next to us after us got drinks , food order placed and delivered before we even go ours placed. Water glass empty most of my meal, my cocktail was never replaced or asked about, the winter salad was delicious but I ordered the pizza and it was the same quality, flavor as exactly like MOD pizza but cost more. Tagliatelle was done well however it could have used parmesan cheese. That's a personal preference however. The burger was food but not rested well so it soaked the bread and left enough juice I the plate for a soup. It also came 9 min before the other 3 meals.
Love Lucca! Always great food and service. That’s why we go back time and again.
Lucca was amazing. Must try the pizza and the dessert. I will recommend to my friends.
Good food, great wine, knowledgeable staff that work their tails off to serve you in a friendly manner. My one criticism is that they have no entree salad(s) on the menu, only smaller Caesar and dinner salads. Would love to see an entree salad option, like a chef salad, cobb salad, or shrimp louie on their menu sometime. Otherwise, an outstanding restaurant that we have gone to on a regular basis for years.
Always a great experience at Lucca! My husband and I have been there with larger groups, alone on date nights, and for the first time ever this past weekend, with our 2 boys (restaurant of choice for our 10-year old on his birthday). Service, food, wine, ambiance is always top notch. Thank you!
Super friendly and attentive service! We ordered a few items that were seasonal, and they were delicious and unique. Look forward to going again soon!
Service was a bit spotty at 5pm on a Wednesday with only 10 other people in the restaurant. I sat for 15 minutes before I finally got a glass of wine.
Dinner however was served promptly, hot snd delicious pasta.
Prices are reasonable. A nice neighborhood place.
Great neighborhood Italian restaurant. We had a party of 5 and the service was great. The food was almost universally liked, though the pork chop was a bit overdone (dry and tough). Definitely recommend.
To be succinct:
Try this spot. Everything was perfect.
Special nod to our server (nursing student? )
Thanks for an amazing anniversary date.
Not a large menu, but it's done very well. The bolognese is outstanding, as is the brined pork chop. They always have a lovely and very affordable wine selection. If any area needs attention, it's dessert. Very relaxed and seamlessly attentive service.
Our new favorite dinner restaurant. We’re usually good beer and pub food people, but our dinner at Luca with friends this weekend was so nice. We all agreed that it’s great to enjoy such wonderful ambiance, food and service. My husband and I love it and it will always be our first place to take our friends.
The food is so reliably wonderful that it’s a shame that although this restaurant is in my neighborhood, I feel less and less inclined to go there. It’s just too damn loud. The wait service is unreliable these days as well.
The food and wine were excellent and the service was quite adequate. We had a cozy table. Given proximity to a large table, it was a little noisy, but not unbearably so. We will certainly return.
Was surprised by the reviews and the crowds, but the food was not that good. In fact, one of the pizzas was very salty. Too crowded that they were trying to rush the customers out the door too. We will not go back unfortunately.
We’ve been 4-5 times over the last few years, for both lunch and dinner. The only change I would make is to lower the noise level. It’s possible to carry on a conversation with the person across the table, but I’d like it to be easier, which it would be with a lower noise level. Menu is creative and delicious. Service was perfect.
Lunch with a friend on a relatively quiet, non-busy Tuesday. We had house white wine with the chicken pesto salad. Service was good. The salad had arugula and it was way to "stemmy", but tasty. A little variety in the greens would have been nice.
Fantastic food, very, very accommodating to food allergies (dairy, egg, peanut and tree nut). Highly recommend!
High-quality seasonal dishes with local ingredients and great wine pairings.
Food and customer service were outstanding.
Great Sunday night dinner. Duck sugo - yum. Great service and atmosphere.
