Our vision at Lucas Local is to offer a unique and creative dining experience. We are a New American restaurant, inspired by coastal New England and offer an incredible selection of regionally sourced ingredients. Our menu consists of a variety of creative dishes from the land and sea. We source locally when available, and we are seasonally inspired so we may offer you ingredients at peak season for flavor. Our cocktails are also very unique and take into account seasonal ingredients as well. We hope to see you and get ready to explore the best of what New England has to offer.

We arrived there for our reservation at 4:00 on Wednesday, 5/29/24, only to find that the restaurant had permanently closed their doors the Sunday before! Very disappointed. We had been there before and it was very good.

Our favorite restaurant in Southbury, we recently discovered their brunch menu on Mother's Day. Excellent chicken & waffles, mimosas and bloody marys, and the best sticky buns we have ever had. Sadly, the restaurant is closing this location due to rent dispute. We are very hopeful that the owner will find another location in town very soon.

It was our first time at this restaurant. Food was great and service was pretty decent. We unfortunately did not know this restaurant was closing its doors permanently the day after we had dinner there. So as far as this review, I guess it will be irrelevant. It’s a shame this place is closing, I honestly can’t understand why- the place was crowded and food was excellent.

The food was good but overpriced. I wasn’t even served bread even though I ordered both appetizer and entree. The pasta dish should have had more shellfish in it especially for the price

The initial service was a little slow, but afterwards it was excellent. The dining room is in the bar area so it was a little noisy. The food was excellent.I had the swordfish and my wife had linguini with clams ( there must have been a dozen clams on the half shell!). We will definitely be back. Looking forward to Happy Hour.

Bar service was okay but I ordered a cocktail which was measured. I’m okay with the premise of measured drinks but the bartender only partially filled the jogger on each side. Felt like I was cheated. In regard to ambience, bar area and the couple of tables behind are good, the tables stretching down the right side seemed like a bowling alley. Food was very good

Overall the experience was wonderful. Our oysters were divine, the special polenta fries I will die and resurrect for if it comes to it. Server was great and the ambiance was casual but somewhat elegant
