Food is always great… service was good, but they were extremely busy. I love this place but it is noisy and wish they could do something to reduce the echoes of the place. We keep in our rotation of nice places to dine.

In celebrating my wife's birthday, we had a wonderful experience again. It was a very comfortable late summer evening on the outdoor patio. A three-piece oldies band was terrific ambiance. The entrees of Sea Bass and Scallops were amazing. It was the best experience since we visited Luca's on the Viaduct! *****

We went to Luca's to celebrate our son's 30th birthday. Sandy, our waitress, took good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. She surprised us with a tray of desserts in honor of the celebration. We loved the elevated atmosphere for a special occasion.

Service was awful. Sat at the table for 12 minutes before we were greeted by server. Waited another 15 minutes for her to return to take our order. Restaurant wasn’t busy and she was no where to be found Host/hostess were also no where to be found Always have had a great experience until last night. Disappointing

I had booked this reservation as a super special occasion for my girlfriend and I. I was visiting her from out of town, i live in Cincinnati Ohio about 3.5 hours south! I drove into town and the first thing we did was come straight to west lake for dinner. It was absolutely fabulous. We went all out as we were celebrating and our server, Lily, was phenomenal and very friendly! She gave us amazing recommendations across the entire menu, and we took her up on a few of them! We had a few starters—the beef wagyu tartare and also the blackened scallops as a surf n turf start, and it was spectacular. We then moved into our entrees and I had the lamb shank which was on a recommendation of the server and it was so delicious! Not something i would typically order but the way it was described i could not say no. My girlfriend ordered the sacchetti and it was one of the best things i have ever smelled, looked at, and tasted. I wish we ordered a second entree of hers! For dessert we asked what Lily recommended we try, and she brought out some dark chocolate mousse bites that we shared with an espresso martini. Everything was absolutely superb, and we couldn’t wait to come back! So we literally went back two nights later! Everything was even better than the first night which neither of us thought possible. I have been thinking about Luca since we dined there and I have been talking about it to everyone I engage with! I knew before i came back to Cincinnati that i needed to have it one more time, because once wasn’t enough. To our server on Sunday night 9/10, Sophie, you were absolutely amazing and your recommendations were also fantastic! Thank you for making our last night together special on a calm Sunday evening! We so appreciate you and the rest of the staff at Luca. We will DEFINITELY be back, hopefully for our birthdays in October!:) thank you all, whatever it is you’re doing, don’t change a thing!!!

This was our first visit - we had an outstanding evening celebrating our 53rd and our friend's 55th Wedding Anniversary! Everything was perfect and noise level was low to allow for pleasant conversation! The four of us - THANK YOU!!!!

While Luca is expensive, it is worth it. The cioppino is our favorite (including the ones we've had in California). It is loaded with fresh mussels, calamari, clams, shrimp and a plenty of lobster. The sauce is fantastic and the fresh bread is perfect to dip in it. We are regulars and will keep going. Luca never disappoints!

I ordered the twin lobster tail special and had a hair on and under one of the tails. Brought it to my waitress attention she took it to the host stand and even had another person state it was a piece of hair. Took it to the kitchen and they stated it was the bristle from the cleaning brush. No apologies or empathy for what I saw in my food. It was not a bristle and even if it was that is still not safe to have in my food.

First time there, took daughter and fiance for her birthday. The service was friendly, top-notch and never rushed; the food was delicious, we ended up getting extra plates to share; and the patio transports one to a nature setting. Can't wait to go back!

Luca West is very special. Elegant, casual, well thought out & prepared food, craft drinks, gracious atmosphere. The perfect restaurant for our Anniversary dinner. Seated in the "garden" on a lovely summer afternoon reminded us of our first romantic dinner - decades ago. While our appetites have grown smaller, our appreciation for the fine things has grown greater. Well prepared food by the chef & served by courteous staff, including our professional server, Texas, added to the pleasure.

Luca WEST continues to be a favorite for outstanding Italian cuisine and fine dining. On the weekend of my husband and daughter's skydiving adventure, this is where we came for the "night before" meal. The CIOPPINO is legendary and my husband loved his lamb chops. An extensive wine list ensures you can always find exactly the right wine to pair with your entree. Home-Run..... again.

Best place to celebrate a birthday! The patio makes you forget you’re in Cleveland. Our server and the rest of the staff went above and beyond when it came to our order for such a large group. I love the birthday photo of myself and friends with the card that they give you at the end of the night!!! My friends and I said it was the best place to celebrate! Thank you Luca West❤️

Way too much garlic. Been to Italy many times - do business there - never had food with so much garlic. Bread comes with garlic cloves in oil, salad - yep - garlic even in the fruit and greens salad, ordered chicken dish that had sauce covered in garlic. This is not authentic Italian - garlic is used sparingly in Italy. Been here often - never seems to be enough help. Service is on the slow side since the system seems stressed. Not horrible - but needs attention since pricing is more aggressive. Children are acting as hosts and hostesses. There bread is excellent. The salad would have been good if there was a bit more fruit and a dressing with no garlic. Chicken was unimpressive even if garlic was reduced. Garlic fans Luca is for you.

We were there to celebrate our 46th anniversary. We were seated in a corner next to the fireplace which made it an intimate spot. Our server was Shannon. She was attentive and friendly and we never felt rushed. The food and drinks were excellent. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

Service by Violet-5 stars, but she was over-burdened, though not her fault (lack of staff I suspect). Food was average. Grouper was overdone and stringy. Told it came with broccoli but came out with carrots. Gnocchi was dense and heavy, actually swimming in oil. Small round tables had unnecessarily large plates sticking out over the edges.

We went to Luca West to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We love sitting out on the outdoor patio. Everything was perfect. The service was great and all the food was delicious. We had the Halibut special and it melted in your mouth! The burrata caprese salad was also very good for an appetizer. They even brought us a free Tiramisu dessert for our anniversary on the house. I highly recommend Luca West.

Walked in with a client from Boston, asked for a table for two. Was told sorry no availability for walk ins. So I went on this app. Made a reservation on the app, for two. Literally FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER. Then we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender gave us bread and water and then forgot about us for over 20 minutes. We left and went to HydePark. Had an amazing experience.

Excellent dining experience. Went with my family for a celebratory dinner, and it was a wonderful time. The food was delicious, champagne recommendation was perfect, desert and coffee after the meal left us on a sweet and satisfied note. Server was also phenomenal. Overall, would highly recommend the indoor dining for special occasions and outdoor patio for either special occasions or nice dinner with a partner or friends.

First time at Luca West and was driving through Cleveland and happened to stop. We had reservations for 6:15 and arrived early hoping to secure a couple seats at the outside bar for a cocktail prior to dinner. The outside patio is beautiful with a very nice bar in the center which was packed when we arrived. Went to the inside bar for our cocktail and it was nicely appointed inside as well. The only black mark on the evening we ordered a second drink and the bartender forgot and never served us, then it took a long time to get the check so we could move to our table outside. While at the table the started us off with an obviously in house made bread and herb and garlic oil that was fantastic. We also had the calamari appetizer that was spectacular. Out entrees were the Pappardelle and the Tortellini which were both exquisitely prepared and all served to us by a really good waiter, Fatos. Fantastic meal all around and I would definitely, travel back there.
