   The food was incredibly delicious. We could not sit outside so the ambiance left much to be desired. The service was spot on, and our server even gave us suggestions as to other places to walk to get dessert. Can't wait to come and eat here again.

   This was our second time dining at Luca during our stay in San Diego. The first time we sat in the courtyard, the second time we sat inside and it is quite a different ambiance. It was loud and a bit frenetic. The service was not nearly as good as in the courtyard. The food however was still great.

   Our server was lovely and had a sweet personality, but needs some training up on basics. There was a lot of confusion with some basic questions that were asked by us. Menu descriptions were misleading-or not "descriptive" at all-instead just rattling off ingredients. Is it a sandwich, a burger, a bowl of what? We had to ask a lot of questions. The food was tasty but portions were quite small-but this is the going trend now with everyone absorbing so many costs. Courtyard was lovely and beautifully decorated.

   Impeccable food and service - I came first for restaurant week and was impressed and decided to return for a birthday dinner. The pork belly and scallop starters were delightful (and that brown butter risotto makes me want to swoon) - they were balanced, tender and flavorful. The salmon entree and pork tenderloin were perfection.

   Ambiance is outstanding. We loved dining in the courtyard- it felt magical. The service was excellent and food was inventive and very good. Try the octopus!

   Ambience is amazing, food was good, hostess and waitresses were absolutely clueless and had no idea what they were doing...

   First time I went to Luca was great so when a friend was in town I booked a reservation. They had just put on Instagram their bottomless Mimosas for $15 for Bottemless Sunday Brunch. We get there- Table not ready l, but they were sitting walk ins (I was standing there when they said they had no reservation). We finally get a table, awful seating, cold outside asked for heat lamp- never came. Told they decided not to do bottomless mimosas as they had advertised 2 days prior. Out of short rib for thei omlette and server never came around after he took our order. Told he was somewhere in the back and they’d have to find someone to help us later. Very disappointed. Awful service, terrible treatment to a local repeat customer with a reservation.

    Usually the service is good but today wasn’t. Took about 20 minutes to get our server to take our order. Server never checked on us to see if we needed water or coffee refills. I had to ask someone else to get our check so we can leave. Our server disappeared. Very disappointing.
